Abortion rights and so much else is on the line. [View in browser]( {NAME}, The political oddsmakers don’t see or understand what is happening here in Louisiana—and, in fact, just as in many other areas of the country, they really never have. But too many parts of the Deep South, and other working class and traditionally purple swing states across the country, have been neglected or outright abandoned by politicians of both parties over the years. When Democratic Governor John Bel Edwards won statewide—twice—he carried the district I am running in by over 11 points. No one predicted this would happen; Democrats just worked their tails off to win like they have done in Georgia, resulting in a series of incredible wins in 2020 and 2022. That’s exactly what we’re doing, but we need the help of everyone who sees the dark turn that America is taking and wants to get involved and fight back. That’s because we know that the stakes of this election, and others like it, are as high as they can possibly be: nothing short of freedom for women and basic civil rights for Black people and minorities are on the line in this race. What happens here could send shockwaves across the country—either for good or for bad. If we don’t come together and stop the madness here and now, it is only a matter of time before our individual rights will be under attack even in safe “blue” places like California and New York. Put on your game face - we are going all the way this October. [So I am asking if you can chip in $25 or more to this campaign, to send a message that Democrats are going to show some teeth in this fight, and work hard to win when freedom as we know it is on the line:]( If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately: [Donate $5]( [Donate $10]( [Donate $25]( [Donate $50]( [Donate $100]( [Donate $250]( [Donate another amount](or [multiply your impact with a recurring contribution!]( It’s an honor to stand and fight with you in this moment.
