Why should you give a sh*t about Louisiana, {NAME}?

There is so much at stake here. [View in browser]( {NAME}, As the GOP goes increasingly full-tilt MAGA, actively pursuing some of the most extreme gaslighting, division, and a social agenda of total extreme right-wing control, the threat to us all, everywhere, should be clear and obvious. In the eyes of the GOP, Louisiana is the ideal laboratory for perfecting the implementation of this playbook for totalitarian control. What they are testing on Louisianans right now is what will soon be pushed on our entire nation and once the domino of Louisiana falls it's only a matter of time before we see purple states like Ohio, Michigan, and Arizona go down and then it won't be long before they come for deep blue states like New York, Massachusetts, and California. We can still stop this chain of dominos but we need to make our stand in Louisiana. Join me and the millions of deep south democrats making a stand before it is too late. Louisiana State House candidates are at the front lines of fighting back against one of the most disturbing and frightening shifts in American politics in our history. The MAGA playbook we have been opposing for years now is simple: - Extreme partisan and racial gerrymandering to dilute the strength of Black voters and people of color - Terrorize LGBTQ+ persons to create scapegoats and wedges in the electorate - Institute radical forms of control, including severely restrictive abortion bans, banning books, and whitewashing American history - Destroy and dismantle public education, and funnel taxpayer funds to private religious schools that are completely shielded from accountability - In the midst of obvious effects from climate change, turn back environmental regulations even more, endangering poor and often minority communities to enrich oil barons and major polluters who don’t care at all about real people I'm sure you are wondering why you should give a sh*t about a State Senate race in Louisiana but if we don’t come together and fight back at every level, I believe that we will not win this battle for the future of our country, and for a free American society.
