[NO - RB Adrian Peterson wants more action](#23) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 1. [ARI - WR John Brown ruled out for Week 2]() Source: AZCardinals.com Arizona Cardinals WR [John Brown](=) (quadriceps) did not practice Friday, Sept. 15, and is ruled out for Week 2 against the Indianapolis Colts. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] JJ Nelson and Jaron Brown will get more work against the weak Colts pass defense on Sunday. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 2. [MIN - QB Sam Bradford listed as questionable](=) Source: Vikings.com Minnesota Vikings QB [Sam Bradford](=) (knee) was limited during practice Friday, Sept. 15, and is listed as questionable for Week 2. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Bradford should play, but Week 1 is looking like a likely high point if this knee issue that has caused an MRI and concern affects his play at all. This development could encourage you to break ties against him. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 3. [CIN - Ken Zampese relieved of duties]() Source: Bengals.com Cincinnati Bengals offensive coordinator Ken Zampese was fired Friday, Sept. 15. Quarterbacks coach Bill Lazor will assume offensive coordinator responsibilities effective immediately, according to the team's website. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Lazor had some time in the Chip Kelly tree and could incorporate some of the concepts he learned while serving Kelly. Lamar Miller was at his best, but perhaps underused. The passing game was safe but on the inefficient side. The Bengals would see Lazor's 2014 Dolphins level production as an improvement right now even though he was fired and Dolphins fans don't have a fond memory of his time coaching their offense. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 4. [IND - QB Jacoby Brissett to start]( Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport Indianapolis Colts QB [Jacoby Brissett](=) will start against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 2, according to a source. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Colts made the right decision, but they should have made it earlier in the week so Brissett could get all of the first team snaps with his new teammates in a new offense for him. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 5. [BUF - RB LeSean McCoy sits but will play]( Source: BuffaloBills.com Buffalo Bills RB [LeSean McCoy](=) (groin, wrist) did not participate in practice Friday, Sept. 15, but is not on the injury report for Week 2. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] McCoy getting Friday rest might have been by design for the Bills, but having two issues and needing that rest with his level of workload doesn't bode well for the future. We'll be watching this closely. Mike Tolbert is the handcuff to McCoy as of right now. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 6. [DEN - Denver WRs facing banged up secondary](=) Source: Fort Worth Star-Telegram - Clarence E. Hill Jr. Denver Broncos WRs [Demaryius Thomas](=) and [Emmanuel Sanders](=) will be facing a banged up Dallas Cowboys secondary in Week 2 since CB Orlando Scandrick (hand) and CB Chido Awuzie (hamstring) are dealing with injuries. CB Anthony Brown replaced Scandrick as the nickel back in Week 1 and Awuzie was starting opposite CB Nolan Carroll. FS Byron Jones (groin) is also listed as questionable for the game. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] This will be a great contrast from last week, when they faced Jason Verrett and Casey Hayward. Expect good numbers from Sanders and Thomas and a second straight solid week from Trevor Siemian. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 7. [SF - San Francisco injury report for Week 2]( Source: CSNBayArea.com - Matt Maiocco San Francisco 49ers LB Reuben Foster (ankle) did not practice Friday, Sept. 2, and is listed as out for Week 2 against the Seattle Seahawks. S Jimmie Ward (hamstring) was a limited participant and is questionable, while TE [George Kittle](=) (hamstring, calf) and OT Joe Staley (rest) practiced in full and have been removed from the injury report. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Foster was looking like a future star in his debut last week, so he'll be missed against the Seahawks. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 8. NO - Week 2 status report for New Orleans Source: NFL New Orleans Saints OT Terron Armstead (shoulder) and OT Zach Strief (knee) did not practice Friday, Sept. 15, and have been ruled out for Week 2. LB Stephone Anthony (ankle), DE Trey Hendrickson (illness) and LB Nathan Stupar (hamstring) are questionable after being limited participants in practice. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Saints will be without their starting tackles on Sunday, but the Patriots have one of the weakest sets of ends in the league, so it might not hold back Drew Brees too much in the potential shootout. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 9. [ARI - Arizona injury report for Week 2]() Source: AZCardinals.com Arizona Cardinals WR [John Brown](=) (quadriceps), OT D.J. Humphries (knee) and OG Mike Iupati (triceps) did not practice Friday, Sept. 15, and is out for Week 2 against the Indianapolis Colts. LB Deone Bucannon (ankle) was limited in practice and is doubtful, while TE [Troy Niklas](=) (hip) and DE Robert Nkemdiche (calf) were limited and are listed as questionable. TE [Jermaine Gresham](=) (ribs) did not practice and is questionable, while LB Karlos Dansby (shin) practiced in full and is longer on the injury report. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The offensive line is going to miss Iupati in the run game and Brown's absence will hamper the deep passing game against the Colts. The Cardinals offense should still have success if the Colts defense plays the way it did against the Rams last week. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 10. [NYG - Friday practice report for G-men]( Source: DetroitLions.com New York Giants WR [Odell Beckham Jr](=). (ankle), OT Bobby Hart (ankle) and LB Keenan Robinson (concussion) were limited participants in practice Friday, Sep. 15. DT Jay Bromley (knee), CB Janoris Jenkins (ankle/hand) and WR [Tavarres King](=) (ankle) were full participants. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Things are continuing to trend towards Beckham playing on Monday night, but stay tuned. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 11. [NE - Week 2 injury report for Patriots]() Source: Patriots.com New England Patriots WR [Danny Amendola](=) (concussion, knee), WR Matthew Slater (hamstring), DT Vincent Valentine (knee) and LB Dont'a Hightower (knee) did not participate in practice Friday, Sept. 15, and have been ruled out for Week 2. OT Marcus Cannon (ankle), FS Nate Ebner (shoulder) and FS Devin McCourty (groin) were limited during practice and are listed as questionable. OT Cameron Fleming (ankle) and DT Adam Butler (knee) fully participated in practice and are not on the injury report. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The team will miss Hightower, one of their best pass rushers. Running backs Rex Burkhead and James White could help replace the snaps and targets vacated by Amendola. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 12. [LAC - Week 2 injury report for Chargers](=) Source: The Miami Herald - Armando Salguero Los Angeles Chargers CB Jason Verrett (knee) and S Rayshawn Jenkins (concussion, shoulder) did not participate in practice Friday, Sept. 15, and have been ruled out for Week 2. WR [Mike Williams](=) (back) was limited during practice but is ruled out. WR [Dontrelle Inman](=) (groin), TE [Sean McGrath](=) (knee) and DE Jerry Attaochu (hamstring) fully participated in practice but are listed as questionable. OG Kenny Wiggins (ankle) fully participated in practice and is not on the injury report. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The loss of Verrett helps the case of Jay Cutler and the Miami offense. One of Kenny Stills, Devante Parker and Jarvis Landry will benefit if rookie Desmond King and Trevor Williams aren't up to the task of playing more snaps. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 13. [MIA - Questionable tag for WR Jarvis Landry](=) Source: The Miami Herald - Armando Salguero Miami Dolphins WR [Jarvis Landry](=) (knee) was limited during practice Friday, Sept. 15, and is listed as questionable for Week 2. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] He is expected to play, although his fantasy value is expected to be down from previous years if DeVante Parker emerges. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 14. [HOU - CB Kevin Johnson expected to miss 4-6 weeks](=) Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter Houston Texans CB Kevin Johnson (knee) is expected to miss four to six weeks because of the sprained medial collateral ligament he suffered in Week 2, according to a source. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Texans will have one less quality corner heading into a matchup with the Patriots in Week 3. The Titans, Chiefs, and Browns are up in the following weeks. Marcus Burley will be on the field a lot for this defense while Johnson is out. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 15. [BAL - Week 2 injury report for Ravens]() Source: ClevelandBrowns.com Baltimore Ravens LB Za'Darius Smith (ankle, knee), CB Jaylen Hill (thigh) and CB Sheldon Price (concussion) did not participate in practice Friday, Sept. 15, and have been ruled out for Week 2. WR Michael Campanaro (ankle) and LB Tim Williams (illness) were limited during practice and are listed as questionable. FS Eric Weddle (illness) fully participated in practice and are not on the injury report. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Campanaro could take up some of the Danny Woodhead role, but he has never been healthy for very long during his career. This latest listing on the injury report re-confirms his reputation for fragility. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 16. [DAL - Week 2 injury report for Dallas]() Source: DallasCowboys.com Dallas Cowboys LB Anthony Hitchens (knee) and CB Orlando Scandrick (hand) did not practice all week and have been ruled out for Week 2. S Byron Jones (groin) and WR [Terrance Williams](=) (ankle) were limited in practice Friday, Sept. 15, and are listed as questionable. CBs Chidobe Awuzie (ankle) and Jourdan Lewis (hamstring) each participated fully in practice Friday for the third straight day and are not on the injury report. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Cowboys corners will be without their most experienced member as they face one of the best wide receiver duos in the league. Scandrick's absence helps Emmanuel Sanders and Demaryius Thomas. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 17. [JAX - Friday injury report for Jacksonville](=) Source: Jaguars.com Jacksonville Jaguars S Calvin Pryor (ankle) did not practice Friday, Sept. 15, and has been ruled out for Week 2. CB Jalen Ramsey (ankle) also did not participate in practice Friday and has been listed as questionable. OL Brandon Linder (knee) remained limited practice, while QB [Blake Bortles](=) (wrist), A.J. Bouye (illness), DT Abry Jones (knee) and RB [T.J. Yeldon](=) (hamstring) participated fully in practice and were removed from the report. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Ramsey could play, but there's no guarantee he'll be nearly as effective in what could be a good development for the Titans passing game - although they will still face a stiff test at Jacksonville. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 18. [BUF - TE Charles Clay on track to play]( Source: BuffaloBills.com Buffalo Bills TE [Charles Clay](=) (shoulder) fully participated in practice Friday, Sept. 15, and is not on the injury report for Week 2. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Clay's knee had to be managed, but he was productive during Week 1 and he's healthy heading into Week 2 against a tough Carolina defense. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 19. [CLE - WR Kenny Britt's playing time to stay the same]( Source: ESPN.com - Pat McManamon Cleveland Browns WR [Kenny Britt](=) will get his 'normal allotment' of plays in Week 2 against the Baltimore Ravens, according to head coach Hue Jackson, who refused to commit to Britt after a critical third-down drop in the second half of the team's Week 1 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] It's still hard to trust Britt after his listless performances in preseason and Week 1. Corey Coleman is clearly the #1 here and Britt might be droppable soon. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 20. [NE - RB Rex Burkhead could see snaps in slot Week 2?](=) Source: CSNNE.com - Mike Giardi New England Patriots RB [Rex Burkhead](=) is a 'logical choice' to see snaps in the slot with the Patriots potentially down to three healthy receivers, including one ([Phillip Dorsett](=)) who has been with the team for less than two weeks, according to CSN New England's Mike Giardi. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] James White could also play more in the slot, making both what the heck flex plays for Week 2, with White more attractive because of his possible role in the red zone. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 21. [NYG - Odell Beckham practicing Friday](=) Source: ESPN.com - Jordan Raanan New York Giants WR [Odell Beckham Jr](=). (ankle) practiced Friday, Sept. 15. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] It's looking more and more like Beckham will play on Monday night, but check back in tomorrow. The risk of a re-injury or Beckham being limited in snaps and effectiveness still looms over his start. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 22. [PHI - RB Donnel Pumphrey facing lengthy absence](=) Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter Philadelphia Eagles RB Donnel Pumphrey (hamstring) suffered a torn hamstring in practice Friday, Sept. 15, and he's out indefinitely. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Pumphrey was already the fifth running back out of five on the Eagles roster. He's likely to go on injured reserve. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 23. [NO - RB Adrian Peterson wants more action]( Source: The Advocate - Joel A. Erickson New Orleans Saints RB [Adrian Peterson](=) said he 'didn't sign up for nine snaps,' but he said he and head coach Sean Payton are on the same page. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Peterson could get more red zone work if the Saints get inside the five and Payton might want to use him to sustain drives to keep Tom Brady on the sidelines this week, but the overall outlook for Peterson is not good.
