KC: Kadarius Toney uncertain to play [Source: NFL.com]() Kansas City Chiefs WR Kadarius Toney (hip) remains uncertain to play in Super Bowl LVIII, head coach Andy Reid said on Tuesday, Feb. 6. Our view: Toney has failed to stay healthy and impress during his time with the Chiefs. If he plays in the big game, it could only be seen as a bonus. If Toney doesn't play, it's not a big deal because he's barely seen the field with the Chiefs this season. [Back to Top](#top) [] 2. KC: Jerick McKinnon has 'slim' chance [Source: NFL.com]() Kansas City Chiefs RB Jerick McKinnon (groin) has a 'slim' chance to play in the Super Bowl, head coach Andy Reid said on Tuesday, Feb. 6. Our view: McKinnon is practicing, but it sounds like he's a long-shot to play in the Super Bowl. It would greatly help the Chiefs as their plan should be to run on the 49ers' defense early and often. McKinnon can help as a runner and receiver out of the backfield. Get ready for even more Isiah Pacheco if McKinnon can't go. [Back to Top](#top) [] 3. LAC: Greg Roman hired as OC [Source: Click2Houston.com - Aaron Wilson]( Updating a previous report, former Baltimore Ravens offensive coordinator Greg Roman is expected to take the same role with the Los Angeles Chargers, per sources on Monday, Feb. 5. Our view: No surprise here. Roman worked under Chargers' new head coach Jim Harbaugh in San Francisco, and now they'll work together again. We should see the Chargers have a strong rushing attack with Roman calling the shots. What needs to be seen is the further development of QB Justin Herbert. The Chargers have a superstar quarterback, but they are failing him by struggling to find the right fit for him on offense. [Back to Top](#top) [] 4. DAL: Rex Ryan interviews with Dallas [Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport]() Former Buffalo Bills head coach Rex Ryan interviewed for the Dallas Cowboys defensive coordinator position recently. Our view: Ryan has been out of coaching for quite some time, and he's enjoying that cushy TV life as an analyst. His time as head coach of the Bills ended in 2016, and Ryan had earned a reputation for being loud, proud, and could put together a strong defense. With Dan Quinn moving on to be the head coach of the Commanders, the Cowboys have to find another defensive coordinator. [Back to Top](#top) [] 5. SEA: Seattle meeting with Chip Kelly [Source: The Ringer - Benjamin Solak](=) UCLA head coach Chip Kelly is reportedly interviewing for the offensive coordinator vacancy with the Seattle Seahawks on Tuesday, Feb. 6. Our view: Kelly's concepts have infiltrated the NFL even though he failed during his time as the head coach of the Eagles and the 49ers. It's an interesting interview for Seattle as they move into the post-Carroll era. Kelly has been getting some interest from NFL teams, and he could be back in the league at some point. [Back to Top](#top) [] 6. NE: Patriots hire Alonzo Highsmith [Source: The Athletic - Chad Graff, Manny Navarro and Bruce Feldman]() University of Miami general manager of football operations Alonzo Highsmith is being hired to an unspecified role in the New England Patriots' front office, according to sources on Wednesday, Feb. 7. Our view: Highsmith has a ton of experience in the NFL as a pro personnel guy with the Packers, Browns, and Seahawks. He'll now work with new HC Jerod Mayo to find players to get the Patriots back to the postseason. Jeff Bell, Kevin Coleman, and Christian Williams break down their 12-pick Dynasty Superflex Rookie Mock Draft as they discuss superstars like Caleb Williams, Marvin Harrison Jr., Jayden Daniels, and Drake Maye! [[youtube]]()[[podcast]]([[spotify]](=) [] 7. DET: Tre'Quan Smith signed by Lions [Source: KPRC.com - Aaron Wilson]( Free-agent WR Tre'Quan Smith (Broncos) was signed to a reserve-futures deal by the Detroit Lions Wednesday, Feb. 7. Terms weren't disclosed. Our view: Smith has flashed just a bit during his pro career. Sean Payton certainly loves him as he's coached Smith with both the Saints and the Broncos. If healthy, Smith can make plays and on a team like the Lions we are certainly paying attention in super deep dynasty formats. [Back to Top](#top) [] 8. HOU: Tank Dell to be ready for OTAs? [Source: Click2Houston.com - Aaron Wilson]( Houston Texans WR Tank Dell (leg) expects to be ready for organized team activities, he told reporters on Wednesday, Feb. 7. Our view: That sounds about right, but the team will bring him along cautiously. We'd imagine Dell could be somewhat limited during OTAs but ready for full participation in training camp. Dell suffered a fractured fibula in the Texans' Week 13 win over the Broncos, and he underwent surgery shortly after that. [Back to Top](#top) [] 9. BUF: Ronald Curry to be hired as QB coach [Source: Click2Houston.com - Aaron Wilson]( Former New Orleans Saints quarterbacks coach Ronald Curry is expected to be hired as the Buffalo Bills' passing-game coordinator and quarterbacks coach, per sources on Wednesday, Feb. 7. Our view: Curry will now be in charge of getting the most out of QB Josh Allen. That's a great player to work with, but the Bills are wasting Allen's prime by falling short in the postseason. We'll see if Curry's work can keep Allen healthy and help the team get a Super Bowl championship in 2024. So long as they have Allen, the Bills will be contenders. [Back to Top](#top) [] 10. IND: Alex Tanney set to join Indianapolis [Source: ESPN.com - Jeremy Fowler]() Former Philadelphia Eagles quarterbacks coach Alex Tanney is expected to join the offensive coaching staff of the Indianapolis Colts, according to sources. Our view: Tanney gets to work with potential franchise QB Anthony Richardson. After working with Eagles' QB Jalen Hurts, Tanney should be able to help Richardson as he enters his second season. Richardson is incredibly talented, but he plays with no regard for his safety. Thus, Richardson is banged up quite a bit. We'll see if that can change in 2024 under Tanney's guidance.
