We've got Divisional Playoff Football and we can't wait. Our Cecil Lammey has a few bits of News and Notes before the games start today. Plus our Bob Harris has the Divisional Round Ins and Outs. Plus a rad seminar if you're looking into content creation. Let's Go. J What's New At Footballguys - [In And Outs for the Divisional Round]() - Our Bob Harris dives into eight players to consider for your Divisional Playoff fantasy lineups: Four that merit definite spots and four that don't hit quite right. - [Footballguys Spotlight - Hey Creator Summit]( - In the Footballguys Spotlight, I highlight cool stuff I see. This one isn't football specific but it's rad. My good friend Darrell Vesterfelt has put together a 5-day virtual summit bringing 20 Expert Speakers together for a fantastic event talking about creating content of all kinds. It's completely free and I have no doubt it'll be super valuable if you're considering getting into the business of creating any time of online content. Perry made most of targets](#article-6) [] 1. LVR: Antonio Pierce officially named HC [Source: Raiders.com]() Las Vegas Raiders interim head coach Antonio Pierce was officially named the Raiders new head coach Friday, Jan. 19. Our view: Mark Davis makes the right move here. The last time an interim head coach had success with the Raiders and was popular with the players (2021, Rich Bisaccia) Davis didn't promote him. Pierce can rally his players, but now we'll see how he does with the full-time gig. We imagine with the support he has from superstars like Maxx Crosby and Davante Adams, Pierce is going to do good work in a tough AFC West. [Back to Top](#top) [] 2. TB: Trey Palmer saw role grow [Source: ESPN.com]( Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Trey Palmer had at least four receptions in four of his final eight games, logging at least five targets six times in that span. Our view: He's a player we are excited about in dynasty formats. Palmer had three catches or less in each of the first nine games and logged four or fewer targets seven times. A sixth-round pick out of Nebraska (he transferred from LSU), Palmer has a ton of speed and can blow by defenders. With his speed and ball-tracking ability, Palmer can be a consistent weapon...and perhaps a big-play one for the Buccaneers. [Back to Top](#top) [] 3. NE: Demario Douglas achieved rare feat [Source: ESPN.com - Aaron Schatz](=) New England Patriots WR Demario Douglas' 49 receptions in 2023 were the most ever by a rookie receiver under head coach Bill Belichick. Our view: Douglas was dubbed "7-11" by our very own Cecil Lammey at the 2023 Shrine Bowl a year ago because he's always open. We're amped up about him in dynasty formats, and Douglas should be a steady target going forward in the Patriots' offense. We'll have to see who is quarterbacking the team in 2024, but Douglas should be a favorite. [Back to Top](#top) [] 4. DET: Amon-Ra St. Brown set for big game? [Source: ESPN.com - Matt Bowen]() Detroit Lions WR Amon-Ra St. Brown faces the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the divisional round of the playoffs, and St. Brown had 12 catches for 124 yards and a touchdown against the Buccaneers in a matchup during the regular season. Our view: That was then, and this is now. St. Brown should have a big game, but the Buccaneers are likely to do everything they can to slow him down. The Lions need to be ready to feature other weapons if the Bucs can contain the star receiver. [Back to Top](#top) [] 5. KC: Kadarius Toney won't play against Buffalo [Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter]( Kansas City Chiefs WR Kadarius Toney (ankle, hip) has been downgraded from questionable to out for the team's Divisional Round playoff game versus the Buffalo Bills. Our view: It would be news if Toney was going to play. The Chiefs need to find more weapons on offense since they can't rely on Toney. That means rookie WR Rashee Rice should get plenty of work against the Bills in the Divisional Round. [Back to Top](#top) [] 6. NO: A.T. Perry made most of targets [Source: ESPN.com]( New Orleans Saints WR A.T. Perry had four touchdowns and five receptions of 20-plus yards on 12 catches in 2023, and he averaged 20.5 yards per reception. Our view: Perry reminds us of Broncos WR Tim Patrick because of his size, length, and 'my ball' mentality. In deep dynasty formats, we'll continue to be excited about his progress in the pros. If he continues to develop and improve, Perry has Pro Bowl-level physical skills. [Back to Top](#top) That'll do it for today, Folks.
