BAL: Mark Andrews' status still uncertain vs. HOU [Source: The Athletic - Jeff Zrebiec]() Baltimore Ravens TE Mark Andrews (ankle, leg) is still very much 'up in the air' regarding his status for the team's AFC Divisional Round game against the Houston Texans on Saturday, Jan. 20, according to head coach John Harbaugh. Our view: Andrews is a true game-time decision for Saturday's game against the Texans. He practiced in full on Wednesday, so Andrews is trending in the right direction. Even if he's out there, Andrews is clearly not going to be 100 percent recovered from the ankle problem that landed him on IR. [Back to Top](#top) [] 2. HOU: C.J. Stroud sets new record [Source: ESPN.com - Matt Bowen]( Houston Texans QB C.J. Stroud led the NFL with a 4.6 touchdown-to-interception ratio in 2023, becoming the first rookie to lead the league in the category. Our view: The game is not too big for Stroud. He's in control when in the pocket making full-field reads to attack a defense. Stroud's future is bright, and he should continue to improve as he gets more time starting in the NFL. [Back to Top](#top) [] 3. PIT: Kenny Pickett to compete for QB1 [Source: The Athletic - Mark Kaboly]( Pittsburgh Steelers QB Kenny Pickett is returning to his starting role, but there will be competition in 2024, according to head coach Mike Tomlin on Thursday, Jan. 18. Our view: Pickett has not been that good. He was likely overdrafted when the Steelers selected him in the first round (2022), and Pickett was extremely underwhelming in 2023. In two years of starting (25 games), Pickett only has 4,474 yards passing with just 13 touchdowns and 13 interceptions. Those numbers are poor, and 2024 will be a make-or-break season for the young passer. Expect the Steelers to add more quarterbacks through the draft or free agency to push Pickett in camp. [Back to Top](#top) [] 4. CHI: Kliff Kingsbury set to meet with Chicago [Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter]( Former Arizona Cardinals head coach and current University of Southern California senior offensive analyst and quarterbacks coach Kliff Kingsbury is expected to interview for the offensive coordinator vacancy with the Chicago Bears, according to sources. Our view: Things fell apart for Kingbury coaching Kyler Murray in Arizona. He spent 2023 with USC, but he could easily be back in the NFL this season. The Bears need to find someone who can get the best out of QB Justin Fields...or QB Caleb Williams. With Kingsbury having worked with Williams in his final season with the Trojans, the hire and selection of Williams no.1 overall would make sense. [Back to Top](#top) [] 5. ATL: Bill Belichick meeting with Atlanta again [Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport]() Former New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick will have a second interview with the Atlanta Falcons this weekend after meeting with owner Arthur Blank 1-on-1. Our view: Belichick to the Falcons seems to be a thing. We'll see if Blank writes the check to make Belichick the head coach moving forward. Terry Fontenot is the team's general manager, and he's a good one. The Falcons could have Fontenot continue building the roster with Belichick only focused on coaching. [Back to Top](#top) [] 6. DAL: Dan Quinn to stay if he doesn't land HC gig [Source: ESPN - Ed Werder]( Dallas Cowboys defensive coordinator Dan Quinn is expected to keep his role if he doesn't land a head coach gig somewhere else, according to sources Thursday, Jan. 18. Our view: The Cowboys are running it back (perhaps) for ....reasons! We're surprised after their early playoff exit that Mike McCarthy kept his job as the head coach. Quinn should land a head coaching gig, and we think the Seahawks are the team that adds him to run the show. If not Seattle or anywhere else, it sounds like Quinn is going to stay in Dallas where hopefully they won't keep falling short in the biggest moments. [Back to Top](#top) [] 7. HOU: Day off for Nico Collins [Source: HoustonTexans.com](=) Houston Texans WR Nico Collins (non-injury) did not participate in practice Thursday, Jan. 18, but is not on the injury report for the Divisional Round playoff game. Our view: A rest day here. Good news for Collins and this offense. [Back to Top](#top) [] 8. BAL: Dalvin Cook to active roster [Source: NFL Network - Tom Pelissero]() Baltimore Ravens RB Dalvin Cook was signed to the active roster Thursday, Jan. 18. Our view: The Ravens moved on from veteran Melvin Gordon and added Cook. Now, Cook is on the active roster and could get some snaps behind Gus Edwards. Cook is not the player he used to be, but he's a solid veteran who can contribute on all three downs. [Back to Top](#top) [] 9. DET: Sam LaPorta listed as limited [Source: DetroitLions.com]() Detroit Lions TE Sam LaPorta (knee) was limited during practice Thursday, Jan. 18. Our view: Let's see what LaPorta can do tomorrow. [Back to Top](#top) 2024 Rookie Draft Sleepers 🤫 (Dynasty Fantasy Football) Is this a bad rookie class?! Jeff Bell, Kevin Coleman, and Christian Williams dive into sleepers, running backs, rookie scouting reports, and more as the 2024 NFL Draft approaches! [[youtube]]()[[podcast]]([[spotify]](=) [] 10. SEA: Mike Vrabel on Seattle's radar [Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter]( Former Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Vrabel is expected to interview with the Seattle Seahawks regarding their head coaching vacancy in the near future, according to sources. Our view: Vrabel should be on every team's radar that has an opening. We think Dan Quinn ends up back in Seattle, but that's not a lock. Seattle is going to look a lot different without Pete Carroll on the sidelines, but Vrabel would bring a lot of experience to the table. [Back to Top](#top) [] 11. ATL: Atlanta interviews Brian Johnson [Source: AtlantaFalcons.com](=) Philadelphia Eagles offensive coordiantor Brian Johnson interviewed with the Atlanta Falcons for their head coach vacancy Thursday, Jan. 18. Our view: Johnson will be going up against Bill Belichick (and others) for the Atlanta job. It sounds like things may be close with Belichick, but nothing is solidified right now. That means there is an opportunity for Johnson to make his case to be the head coach. Johnson's offense in Philadelphia fell apart in a big way as the 2023 season rolled on. He's been on the radar to be a head coach for some time now, and the Falcons may believe Johnson is the best man for the job. [Back to Top](#top) [] 12. CAR: Carolina interviews Brian Callahan [Source: Panthers.com](=) Cincinnati Bengals offensive coordinator Brian Callahan interviewed with the Carolina Panthers for their head coach vacancy Thursday, Jan. 18. Our view: The Panthers need to find someone who can work with QB Bryce Young. Callahan has been part of crafting an offense that worked well with Joe Burrow and Jake Browning. The Panthers job may be less appealing than other openings because of Panthers' owner Dave Tepper, but Callahan could be the type of level-headed coach to turn things around. [Back to Top](#top) [] 13. LAC: LA Chargers meeting with Mike Vrabel [Source: NFL Network - Tom Pelissero]( Former Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Vrabel is interviewing for the head coaching position with the Los Angeles Chargers on Thursday, Jan. 18. Our view: Vrabel is arguably the best coach available in this cycle. The Chargers could use someone to reset the franchise, and Vrabel could bring that culture to the West Coast. As a defensive coach, Vrabel would have to find the right offensive staff to get the most out of superstar QB Justin Herbert. [Back to Top](#top) [] 14. TEN: Tennessee getting to know Thomas Brown [Source: TennesseeTitans.com]( Carolina Panthers offensive coordinator Thomas X. Brown interviewed for the Tennessee Titans' head coaching vacancy on Thursday, Jan. 18. Our view: Titans GM Ran Carthon is looking for a head coach after letting Mike Vrabel go in a move that surprised quite a few in the league. Brown did great things working under Sean McVay with the Rams, but his offense in Carolina was below average and rookie QB Bryce Young did not look good at all. Any coach that takes over the Titans will have to get the most out of guys like Will Levis on offense. [Back to Top](#top) [] 15. ATL: Atlanta likely to interview Mike Vrabel [Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter]( Former Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Vrabel is expected to interview with the Atlanta Falcons regarding their head coaching vacancy in the near future, according to sources. Our view: Bill Belichick to the Falcons isn't a done deal...yet. Until that happens, Falcons' owner Arthur Blank will keep all options open. Vrabel is a fine coach, but the team is just moving away from a former Titans coach (Arthur Smith). [Back to Top](#top) [] 16. CHI: Zac Robinson interviewing for Bears OC role [Source: SI.com - Albert Breer]() Los Angeles Rams pass-game coordinator and quarterbacks coach Zac Robinson is interviewing with the Chicago Bears for their offensive coordinator vacancy, according to sources Thursday, Jan. 18. Our view: Robinson is on track to be a head coach someday. He's done great work with the Rams, and has a bright future having come from the Shanahan system. The Bears may have Caleb Williams (USC) as their starter, or they may end up keeping Justin Fields and continuing to build around him. Either way, a coach like Robinson would be fantastic for either player. [Back to Top](#top) [] 17. SEA: Ben Johnson to meet with Seattle on Saturday [Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport]() Detroit Lions offensive coordinator Benjamin Johnson is scheduled to interview virtually for the Seattle Seahawks' head coaching vacancy on Saturday, Jan. 20. Our view: Johnson might be the hottest name in the 2024 coaching carousel. Reports indicate he wants a hefty payday even though he lacks the experience of other candidates like Mike Vrabel. With what Johnson has done with the Lions' offense, he's getting a lot of attention...and it's well deserved. [Back to Top](#top) [] 18. LAC: LA Chargers to talk with Ben Johnson on Saturday [Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport]() Detroit Lions offensive coordinator Benjamin Johnson is scheduled to interview virtually for the Los Angeles Chargers' head coaching vacancy on Saturday, Jan. 20. Our view: Johnson has done great work with Lions' QB Jared Goff. Imagine what he could do with a superstar like Justin Herbert. The Chargers are wasting a great talent in Herbert, so they need to punch up the offense and make a deep postseason run as the young passer enters his prime. Johnson to the Chargers makes a lot of sense for both sides. [Back to Top](#top) [] 19. WAS: Washington interviews two HC candidates on Thursday [Source: ESPN.com - John Keim]( Los Angeles Rams defensive coordinator Raheem Morris and Dallas Cowboys defensive coordinator Dan Quinn interviewed for the head coaching vacancy with the Washington Commanders on Thursday, Jan. 18. Our view: Quinn's defense fell apart again in the playoffs, but players love him and he has a sterling reputation in the league. Morris is looking to be a head coach again, and he's worked on both sides of the ball as an offensive and defensive coach. Commanders' new GM Adam Peters is looking for a working relationship like he saw in San Francisco between GM John Lynch and HC Kyle Shanahan. [Back to Top](#top) That'll do it for today, Folks.
