Hill Jr. Dallas Cowboys RB [Ezekiel Elliott](=) was granted a temporary restraining order by a Texas judge on Friday, Sept. 8. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The chances of Elliott playing all season just went way up. If the NFL can get the fifth circuit to rule against Elliott then he might be suspended during the season, but the way that the court system moves, Elliott is probably not going to have to deal with this suspension until 2018, assuming it is upheld in the federal courts. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Westbrook had a very promising preseason, but he won't be able to contribute until well into the season now. He's easier to stash in dynasty leagues with an IR slot now. Westbrook could start next year with Allen Hurns a potential cap cut and Marqise Lee and Allen Robinson free agents. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] It sounds like Janikowski will play, but there's no reason to risk him in the lineup with the possibility of Giorgio Tavecchio getting called up to replace him at the last minute. [NYG - WR Odell Beckham Jr. doesn't practice Friday]( Source: Giants.com Updating a previous report, New York Giants WR [Odell Beckham Jr](=). (ankle) did not practice Friday, Sept. 8, for the third straight day. His is officially listed as questionable. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Beckham is a game-time decision, but as long as you have a viable play to replace him, we think the safe play is to err on the side of leaving him on your bench. Paylor Kansas City Chiefs S Eric Berry (Achilles') has been diagnosed with a ruptured Achilles' and will miss the remainder of the season. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Berry was shutting down Rob Gronkowski on Thursday and he is a key part of the Chiefs defense. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] If you needed a reason to put Ben Roethlisberger in despite his ugly road/home splits last year, the absence of Garrett is a good one. The Browns don't have any pass rushers other than Garrett to truly create problems for Roethlisberger by applying pressure. [MIN - RB Dalvin Cook expecting to be Week 1 workhorse]( Source: ESPN.com - Courtney Cronin Minnesota Vikings RB Dalvin Cook will likely operate as the team's workhorse back in Week 1 versus the New Orleans Saints, according to ESPN's Courtney Cronin. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] As long as the offensive line is improved from last year, Cook should provide consistent value, bolstered by his receiving skills. [OAK - RB Marshawn Lynch to be eased in Week 1?]( Source: ESPN.com - Paul Gutierrez Oakland Raiders RB [Marshawn Lynch](=) should see the bulk of carries in Week 1 against the Tennessee Titans, but head coach Jack Del Rio admitted recently he doesn't know what to expect from his starting running back right away. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Lynch looked like his old self in the preseason, albeit in very limited duty. The Raiders offensive line should help his cause. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Head coach Pete Carroll revealed that Rawls suffered a high ankle sprain previously and he is a game-time decision. They might take it slow with him to avoid any re-injury or setbacks because of their depth at running back. If Rawls is out, Eddie Lacy becomes flexworthy against his old Packers team. The matchup is good against the Packers defense, but if the role is split, there isn't a clear start. If Lockett is inactive, Richardson will be a upside WR3. LB Sam Acho (ankle), DT Jonathan Bullard (glute) and CB Sherrick McManis (hamstring) fully participated in practice and are not on the injury report. [WAS - WR Jamison Crowder questionable]() Source: ESPN.com - John Keim Washington Redskins WR [Jamison Crowder](=) (hip) has been listed as questionable with a hip flexor for Week 1 against the Philadelphia Eagles. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Crowder said he expects to play and he should have a good matchup against the Eagles corners with Ronald Darby a better matchup for Terrelle Pryor. Crowder is a solid WR3/Flex PPR play this week even with the risk of the hip issue. Check back on Sunday morning to make sure he is active. [TB - Tampa Bay to use RBBC without RB Doug Martin]( Source: ESPN.com - Jenna Laine Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB [Jacquizz Rodgers](=) will most likely be the first- and second- down back, while [Charles Sims](=) will handle most of the third-down work and Peyton Barber will be the goal-line back while [Doug Martin](=) serves his season-opening three-game suspension, according to ESPN's Jenna Laine. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] If Barber is the goal line back, that takes some luster off of Rodgers as a first three weeks RB2/Flex play, although next weeks matchup against the Bears should at least be flexworthy. [Mike Gillislee](=) finished second on the team with 24, [Rex Burkhead](=) had 10 and [Dion Lewis](=) tallied six. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] White could have more value when the Patriots stay ahead and allow him to get on track, while Burkhead and Lewis did too little to carry in short bench leagues. [BUF - RB LeSean McCoy at practice]() Source: ESPN.com - Mike Rodak Buffalo Bills RB [LeSean McCoy](=) (illness) was at practice Friday, Sept. 8, after missing a portion of the previous day's practice with a stomach bug. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] McCoy should be the bulk of the Bills offense this week and one of the best running back plays of Week 1. [NYG - Odell Beckham questionable for Week 1]( Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport New York Giants WR [Odell Beckham Jr](=). (ankle) is listed as questionable for Week 1. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Beckham still appears to be on the doubtful side of questionable, but he has played three times without practicing in the past. Even if he goes, he could be a decoy and the Giants should err on the side of caution this early in the season. The smart move at this point appears to be leaving Beckham on your bench. With the long week, he could potentially play in Week 2. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] A sigh of relief for a beleaguered Patriots defense that will have to face Drew Brees next week. Hightower is the team's best linebacker and one of their best and only experienced edge rushers.
