HOU: Noah Brown to IR [Source: HoustonTexans.com]( Houston Texans WR Noah Brown (shoulder) was placed on the Reserve/Injured list Monday, Jan. 15. Our view: Brown is now set to be an unrestricted free agent this offseason. With the way he's flashed with the Texans in 2023, Brown should have more than a few teams interested in his services. So long as his shoulder checks out this offseason, we think Brown will sign a lucrative deal with a new team for 2024 and beyond. [Back to Top](#top) [] 2. LAC: Jim Harbaugh meeting with LAC Monday [Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter]() University of Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh will meet with the Los Angeles Chargers about their head coaching vacancy Monday, Jan. 15. A decision is not expected to be imminent for either side. Our view: Harbaugh is going to have a strong interest in coming back to the NFL. The Chargers make sense for many reasons, primarily they have a franchise quarterback in Justin Herbert. They're looking for a general manager in addition to a head coach, and Harbaugh may like that set up where he can perform both duties for his pro team. [Back to Top](#top) [] 3. MIA: Raheem Mostert won't need surgery [Source: The Miami Herald - Adam H. Beasley]() Miami Dolphins RB Raheem Mostert (knee, ankle) won't need any offseason surgeries. Our view: That's good news here. Most of the time with players who get dinged up like Mostert does, some sort of cleanup surgery happens once the season is done. That's not the case with Mostert who finished the 2023 season with the first 1,000-yard rushing season of his career. He's got a cap hit of $3.3MM in 2024, and Mostert should continue splitting time with RB De'Von Achane. [Back to Top](#top)
[] 4. DAL: Dan Quinn schedules four HC interviews [Source: SI.com - Albert Breer](=) Dallas Cowboys defensive coordinator Dan Quinn has interviews scheduled for head coach vacancies with the Carolina Panthers and Tennessee Titans on Wednesday, Jan. 17. He also will interview for the Washington Commanders head coach vacancy on Thursday and the Los Angeles Chargers head coach vacancy on Friday. Our view: Quinn will once again be a hot head coaching candidate. This offseason, it seems like Quinn is bound to leave and get another job as a head coach. We think the Seahawks will be his landing spot as he had success in the Northwest on their staff starting back in 2009. Like last year, when Quinn interviewed with three teams, he will explore all options. [Back to Top](#top) [] 5. CAR: Carolina interviews two more for GM role [Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport](=) Kansas City Chiefs vice president of football operations Brandt Tillis and Baltimore Ravens vice president of football administration Nick Matteo are interviewing for the Carolina Panthers general manager vacancy Monday, Jan. 15. Our view: Panthers' owner Dave Tepper needs help. He's searching for a new general manager and a new head coach to lead the way. Tepper needs to find a combination that can work well together, and work well with his "hands-on" style. Getting executives from successful teams like the Chiefs or the Ravens just makes a ton of sense. [Back to Top](#top) [] 6. NYG: Derrick Ansley sought for Giants DC interview [Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter]() Los Angeles Chargers defensive coordinator Derrick Ansley was requested to interview for the New York Giants defensive coordinator vacancy, according to sources Monday, Jan. 15. Our view: When HC Brandon Staley was fired during the season, Ansley took over running the Chargers' defense. The defense did get a bump in production over the final two weeks of the regular season. Ansley has been a hot coaching candidate for some time, and he's on track to one day be a head coach. It's a lateral move to go to the Giants, but any new staff the Chargers hire may decide to bring in their own defensive coordinator. [Back to Top](#top) [] 7. NYG: Giants seek DC interview with Anthony Campanile [Source: NFL Network - Tom Pelissero]() Miami Dolphins linebackers coach Anthony Campanile was requested to interview for the New York Giants defensive coordinator vacancy, according to sources Monday, Jan. 15. Our view: Campanile has been coaching linebackers with the Dolphins for the past few seasons. The Giants are looking for a new defensive coordinator since Wink Martindale stepped down last week.
