NE: Bill Belichick moving on [Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero](=) New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick and the team have mutually agreed to part ways Thursday, Jan. 11. Our view: Sometimes, things change quickly in the NFL. Other times, as in this case, we get to see greatness for decades. That's the story of Belichick with the Patriots. First hired in 2000, Belichick made the Patriots into Super Bowl champions six times. He and QB Tom Brady were the cornerstones for the franchise, and when Brady moved on it seemed like Belichick's days were going to wind down in New England. Now, he gets to pursue his coaching career elsewhere. We think teams like the Raiders or Chargers could be interested in arguably the best head coach of all time. [Back to Top](#top) [] 2. DET - TE Sam LaPorta 'optimistic' about playing Sunday Source: Dave Birkett Dave Birkett reported, "Sam LaPorta said he got some reps at practice today and is "optimistic" about playing Sunday." Our view: Birkett later clarified, "To clarify, LaPorta's work came on the side, not on the field during regular portion of practice". He officially was listed as Did Not Practice. The takeaway though is there is optimism. Let's see what he can do Friday. [Back to Top](#top) [] 3. CLE: Amari Cooper practicing Thursday [Source: The Chronicle-Telegram - Scott Petrak](=) Cleveland Browns WR Amari Cooper (heel) returned to practice Thursday, Jan. 11. Our view: Cooper is going to be good to go for the Wild Card Round. The Browns face the Texans on Saturday, and it could be a Joe Flacco air show (which means big things for Cooper) this weekend. [Back to Top](#top) [] 4. PHI: A.J. Brown not present at practice on Thursday [Source: Philly.com - Zach Berman]() Philadelphia Eagles WR A.J. Brown (knee) was not spotted at practice on Thursday, Jan. 11. Our view: The game against the Buccaneers is on Monday night, so Brown needs to practice by Saturday at the latest. If he suits up in the Wild Card Round, Brown will clearly be less than 100 percent. [Back to Top](#top) [] 5. KC: Rashee Rice ready to play [Source: Chiefs.com](=) Kansas City Chiefs WR Rashee Rice (hamstring) fully participated in practice Thursday, Jan. 11, and is not on the injury report for the Wild Card playoff game. Our view: Rice has become QB Patrick Mahomes' favorite target. His play will be key for the Chiefs as they look to advance in the postseason. [Back to Top](#top) [] 6. NFL - Marvin Harrison Jr. turning pro [Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter]( Ohio State WR Marvin Harrison Jr. officially announced his intention to declare for the 2024 NFL Draft on Thursday, Jan. 11. Our view: Harrison might be the best prospect in the 2024 NFL draft, regardless of position. He is one of the best wide-receiving prospects we've seen turn pro since Calvin Johnson came out of Georgia Tech in 2007. Harrison can get open with ease, has strong hands, plus he's got the speed and moves to be dangerous after the catch. He's easily a top-5 pick. [Back to Top](#top) [] 7. HOU: Noah Brown's status in question [Source: HoustonTexans.com](=) Houston Texans WR Noah Brown (back) was limited during practice Thursday, Jan. 11, and is listed as questionable for the Wild Card playoff game. Our view: Let's see if Brown's able to work Friday. They'd love to have him of course. [Back to Top](#top) [] 8. PIT: Najee Harris a full participant [Source: Steelers.com - Teresa Varley]( Pittsburgh Steelers RB Najee Harris (knee) fully participated in practice Thursday, Jan. 11. Our view: The Steelers will keep it on the ground against the Bills. They'll use QB Mason Rudolph and the passing game when they need to, but this could be a healthy workload for guys like Harris and the Steelers' rushing attack. [Back to Top](#top) [] 9. BUF: No practice again for Gabe Davis [Source: The Athletic - Joe Buscaglia]( Buffalo Bills WR Gabe Davis (knee) did not practice for a second straight day on Thursday, Jan. 11. Our view: Davis suffered a sprained PCL in Week 18 against the Dolphins, and his status for the game against the Steelers is up in the air. Let's see what he can do on Friday. [Back to Top](#top) 🎓 2024 Dynasty Rookie Mock Draft (Updated 1st Round) Who are the next rookie stars set to take over the NFL? Jeff Bell, Kevin Coleman, and Christian Williams break down their 12-pick Dynasty Rookie Mock Draft as they discuss superstars like Caleb Williams, Marvin Harrison Jr., Jayden Daniels, and Drake Maye! [[youtube]]()[[podcast]]([[spotify]]( [] 10. KC: Isiah Pacheco not on injury report [Source: Chiefs.com](=) Kansas City Chiefs RB Isiah Pacheco (shoulder) fully participated in practice Thursday, Jan. 11, and is not on the injury report for the Wild Card playoff game. Our view: It seems like a Pacheco-centric gameplan could be in effect against the Dolphins in the Wild Card Round. Temperatures are going to be in the single digits, so the Chiefs could choose to keep things simple on the ground. That means Pacheco could be fed the rock early and often. [Back to Top](#top) [] 11. KC: Wild Card injury report for Chiefs [Source: Chiefs.com](=) Kansas City Chiefs OT Wanya Morris (concussion) did not participate in practice Thursday, Jan. 11, and has been ruled out for the Wild Card playoff game. WR Justyn Ross (hamstring) and WR Kadarius Toney (ankle, hip) were limited during practice and are listed as questionable. OT Donovan Smith (neck), CB L'Jarius Sneed (calf), LB Nick Bolton (wrist), S Deon Bush (elbow), CB Chamarri Conner (shoulder), TE Noah Gray (elbow), OT Jawaan Taylor (knee), WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling (oblique) and CB Jaylen Watson (calf) fully participated in practice and are not on the injury report. Our view: The Chiefs have some playmakers limited on offense, but they should be ready to go against the Dolphins. The temperatures are going to be in the single digits for this game, so prepare for a game that may not be as high-scoring as it could be in better weather. [Back to Top](#top) [] 12. CHI: Chicago interested in Shane Waldron [Source: NFL Network - Tom Pelissero]() The Chicago Bears have requested an interview with Seattle Seahawks offensive coordinator Shane Waldron for Chicago's vacant offensive coordinator position, per NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. Our view: The Bears sent former OC Luke Getsy packing, and HC Matt Eberflus is looking to build a new staff. Waldron may want to move on after Seahawks HC Pete Carroll was promoted on Wednesday. [Back to Top](#top) [] 13. ATL: Ben Johnson sought for ATL interview [Source: NFL Network - Tom Pelissero]() Detroit Lions offensive coordinator Benjamin Johnson was requested for an interview for the Atlanta Falcons' head coaching vacancy. Our view: Johnson could be the most coveted potential new head coach out there. He's going to get quite a bit of interest, and Atlanta may not be his best landing spot. They don't have a quarterback, but there are rumblings that they might want to trade for Bears QB Justin Fields. However, there are also rumblings the Bears could keep Fields (regardless of what they do with the no1 overall pick). Stay tuned. [Back to Top](#top) [] 14. MIA: Questionable tag for Raheem Mostert [Source: Sirius XM NFL Radio - Adam Caplan]( Miami Dolphins RB Raheem Mostert (ankle, knee) was limited during practice Thursday, Jan. 11, and is listed as questionable for the Wild Card playoff game. Our view: Keep an eye on this one. Hopefully, we'll get more clarity on Mostert on Friday. [Back to Top](#top) [] 15. TEN: Bobby Slowik sought for TEN interview [Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport](=) Houston Texans offensive coordinator Bobby Slowik has been sought for an interview for the Tennessee Titans head coaching spot. Our view: The Texans' offense worked their way to the postseason, and Slowik's design for QB CJ Stroud was a big reason why. He's a disciple of Mike Shanahan, so that means he could follow in the footsteps of other Shanahan assistants like Sean McVay, Mike McDaniel, Matt LaFleur, and (of course) Kyle Shanahan. [Back to Top](#top) [] 16. WAS: WAS has no interest in Bill Belichick [Source: ESPN.com - John Keim]() Former New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick isn't drawing interest from the Washington Commanders. Our view: The Commanders moved on from old-school coach Ron Rivera, and they might want to go in a different direction this time. Belichick is as old school as it gets, and he might want to still serve as a team's general manager in addition to what he does as a head coach. That's not going to fit with the Commanders' new direction. [Back to Top](#top) [] 17. ATL: Aaron Glenn requested for ATL interview [Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport](=) Detroit Lions defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn has been requested for an interview for the Atlanta Falcons head coaching position. Our view: Glenn has been in the mix to get a head-coaching gig for a couple of seasons. With the Lions' success, the rest of the league has taken further notice. That means Glenn could land a new job, and a promotion, once the Lions are done in the postseason. [Back to Top](#top) [] 18. LAC: LAC adds Jaret Patterson to future deal [Source: NFLCommunications.com](=) Free-agent RB Jaret Patterson signed a Reserve/Future contract with the Los Angeles Chargers Wednesday, Jan. 10. Terms of the contract were not disclosed. Our view: Patterson is a compact back who can rip off some big plays here and there. He's bounced around the league, but in super crazy deep dynasty formats we'll still keep an eye on him to see if he can create a role for himself with his new team. [Back to Top](#top) [] 19. IND: Anthony Richardson to begin throwing next month [Source: Indianapolis Star - Nate Atkins]() Indianapolis Colts QB Anthony Richardson (shoulder) is scheduled to begin throwing next month, he told reporters Thursday, Jan. 11. Our view: Good news for the young quarterback here. He underwent surgery in late October, and Colts owner Jim Irsay said Richardson's shoulder surgery was "a success." It seems like he's right on track to return at some point this offseason with a plan of being a full participant when training camp opens in the summer.
