[DAL - RB Ezekiel Elliott allowed to play Week 1](=) Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter Updating a previous report, Dallas Cowboys RB [Ezekiel Elliott](=) will be allowed to play Week 1 against the New York Giants despite arbitrator Harold Henderson's decision to uphold Elliott's six-game suspension Tuesday, Sept. 5. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] He can start in Week 1 but the rest of the season is up in the air, and it depends on what happens later this week. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the judge who will rule on the temporary restraining order will do so on Friday, Sept. 8. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 2. [NYG - WR Odell Beckham Jr. 'uncertain' for Week 1]() Source: SNY - Ralph Vacchiano Updating a previous report, New York Giants WR [Odell Beckham Jr](=). (ankle) has done some running and cutting on his injured ankle, but he appears to be more hopeful than confident he'll play in Week 1 against the Dallas Cowboys, according to SNY's Ralph Vacchiano. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Monitor this situation as the Giants play on Sunday night against the Cowboys. We should have more clarity on Beckham's availability on Friday. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 3. [BUF - RB LeSean McCoy destined for extreme workload?]() Source: ESPN.com - Mike Rodak Buffalo Bills RB [LeSean McCoy](=) will be given whatever workload it takes to the win the game each week, according to head coach Sean McDermott, who suggested his starting running back could play every snap of every game this season Wednesday, Sept. 6. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] McCoy is perfect for the zone-blocking system implemented by new OC Rick Dennison. He could be in for a workload that exceeds what he's done in the pros. McCoy is the centerpiece of what the Bills want to do on offense, and even if they fall behind he can stay on the field as a dangerous receiving option. McCoy is a RB1, set-it-and-forget-it starter each week for fantasy owners. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 4. [BAL - QB Joe Flacco feeling good]() Source: WNST.net - Luke Jones Baltimore Ravens QB [Joe Flacco](=) (back) said his back is feeling good Wednesday, Sept. 6, and he didn't receive an injection to assist with the recovery. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Great news for the Ravens here as Flacco has missed the entire preseason due to this back injury. Head coach John Harbaugh said Flacco has responded well to the first couple of days of practice. We're not starting Flacco, but we are monitoring his targets to establish the preferred players for the veteran quarterback. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 5. [BUF - QB Tyrod Taylor good to go](=) Source: WKBW.com - Joe Buscaglia Buffalo Bills QB [Tyrod Taylor](=) (concussion) has been cleared from the concussion protocol Wednesday, Sept. 6, and he's expected to start in Week 1 against the New York Jets, according to head coach Sean McDermott. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Taylor got out of the concussion protocol earlier this week, so he's been trending in the right direction. Even in a matchup against the hapless Jets in Week 1, we've got Taylor as a high-end QB2 for fantasy owners. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 6. [TB - RB Doug Martin now returning Week 5](=) Source: Buccaneers.com Updating an earlier report, Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB [Doug Martin](=) will now be eligible to return from suspension in Week 5 after the team's Week 1 game was pushed to Week 11 due to Hurricane Irma. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Fantasy owners have to wait just a bit longer for Martin to return. When he does, Martin should put up RB1 numbers for the Bucs. In the meantime, Jacquizz Rodgers leads the way in the Bucs backfield. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 7. [CIN - TE Tyler Eifert takes part in full practice](=) Source: The Cincinnati Enquirer - Paul Dehner Jr. Cincinnati Bengals TE [Tyler Eifert](=) (knee) was able to participate in a full practice on Wednesday, Sept. 6. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Eifert is healthy (for now) and hopefully he stays that way all year. When he's out there, Eifert is a red-zone favorite of QB Andy Dalton and has TE1 ability and production. Start him as a low-end TE1 this week at home against the Ravens. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 8. [BAL - RB Danny Woodhead listed as full participant]( Source: BaltimoreRavens.com Baltimore Ravens RB [Danny Woodhead](=) (thigh) was listed as a full participant in practice Wednesday, Sept. 6. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Woodhead should be a great receiving option for QB Joe Flacco. That gives him RB3 or flex appeal for fantasy owners in PPR leagues. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 9. [BAL - WR Breshad Perriman practices in full]( Source: BaltimoreRavens.com Baltimore Ravens WR [Breshad Perriman](=) (thigh) was a full participant in practice Wednesday, Sept. 6. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Perriman has talent, but he's been too banged up to get a real good look at. He's got the speed to take the top off the defense lined up on the outside. In deep leagues, we did draft him as a 'lottery ticket' pick late but there's no way we want Perriman in the starting lineup (even as a What the Heck Flex) in Week 1. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 10. [DEN - WR Demaryius Thomas back at practice]() Source: The Denver Post - Nicki Jhabvala Denver Broncos WR [Demaryius Thomas](=) (groin) returned to practice for the first time in nearly two weeks. Thomas was injured during the team's third preseason game. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Thomas is going to be the centerpiece of the Broncos passing attack. Against the Chargers on Monday Night Football in Week 1, we've got Thomas as a low-end WR1 for fantasy owners. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 11. [NE - QB Tom Brady cleared in concussion probe](=) Source: NFL Network - Tom Pelissero New England Patriots QB [Tom Brady](=) was cleared of wrongdoing Wednesday, Sept. 6, in the NFL's probe to discover whether a concussion wasn't reported. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] This all started when Brady's wife went on TV and talked about how he was concussed and played with them/through them. The NFL specifically noted that Brady turned over his medical records, and the Patriots cooperated fully. Looks like a non-issue. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 12. [KC - RB Kareem Hunt to be featured Week 1?]( Source: ESPN.com - Adam Teicher Kansas City Chiefs RB Kareem Hunt will be the team's 'regular featured back' against the New England Patriots on Thursday, Sept. 7, according to ESPN.com's Adam Teicher. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Hunt needs to improve his pass-protection ability if he wants to earn more snaps on passing downs. We see him as a RB2 or flex options for fantasy owners in Week 1. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 13. [SEA - RB Thomas Rawls is a full participant - but ankle an issue](=) Source: Seahawks.com Seattle Seahawks RB [Thomas Rawls](=) (ankle) was listed as a full participant for practice on Wednesday, Sept. 6. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] That's a good sign, but his status for Week 1 is still up in the air with an ankle issue. Gregg Bell of The Tacoma News Tribune reports it's a high ankle sprain. Check back on Friday to see if Rawls can fully participate again, but only consider him a RB3 in the season opener. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 14. [SEA - WR Tyler Lockett practices in full](=) Source: Seahawks.com Seattle Seahawks WR [Tyler Lockett](=) (knee) was able to take part in a full practice session Wednesday, Sept. 6. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Lockett is listed behind Doug {NAME} on the depth chart, but he's the team no3 WR and should work the underneath routes. {NAME} and Paul Richardson are on the outside. If Lockett is healthy he should be considered a 'what the heck' flex. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 15. [OAK - WR Amari Cooper listed as limited]() Source: Raiders.com Oakland Raiders WR [Amari Cooper](=) (knee) was listed as a limited participant for practice on Wednesday, Sept. 6. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] He's limited but Cooper should be ready to go for the season opener. Cooper is a WR1 on the road against the Titans in Week 1. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 16. [JAX - RB Leonard Fournette good to go in Week 1](=) Source: ProFootballTalk.com - Mike Florio Jacksonville Jaguars RB Leonard Fournette (foot) was not listed on the team's injury report for Week 1. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Sweet, but we're still being cautious when considering the rookie for our lineups. If you can plug him in as a low-end RB2 or flex option that would probably be for the best. The upside of a RB1 is there with Fournette if this foot injury doesn't slow him down. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 17. [JAX - QB Blake Bortles takes part in full practice](=) Source: Jaguars.com Jacksonville Jaguars QB [Blake Bortles](=) (wrist) was able to practice in full on Wednesday, Sept. 6. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Cool. Nobody is going to start him. The entire Jaguars passing game is not really exciting for fantasy owners. They want to run the ball and limit Bortles (for good reason). We'll see if Bortles can surprise us in Week 1. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 18. [WAS - WR Josh Doctson practices in full]() Source: Redskins.com Washington Redskins WR [Josh Doctson](=) (hamstring) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Sept. 6. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Cool. Now if the young wideout could just stay healthy. Doctson is someone for fantasy owners to monitor, but the only Washington WRs we're trusting in our Week 1 lineups are Jamison Crowder and Terrelle Pryor. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 19. [ARI - WR Larry Fitzgerald not on practice field]() Source: AZCardinals.com Arizona Cardinals WR [Larry Fitzgerald](=) (rest) was not at practice Wednesday, Sept. 6, but his absence was not injury related. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Probably just a day for veteran rest. We like Fitzgerald as a WR1/WR2 option for your fantasy team on the road against the Lions in Week 1. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 20. [ARI - QB Carson Palmer rests up before opener]() Source: AZCardinals.com Arizona Cardinals QB [Carson Palmer](=) (rest) did not practice on Wednesday, Sept. 6. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Expect this to be the standard practice for Palmer all year long. On the road against the Lions in Week 1, we only have Palmer in the low QB2 range. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 21. [CHI - QB Mitchell Trubisky elevated to No. 2]( Source: ChicagoBears.com - Larry Mayer Chicago Bears QB Mitchell Trubisky was elevated to No. 2 on the depth chart behind starting QB [Mike Glennon](=). 'He earned it,' head coach John Fox said. 'It's not something we handed him for any particular reason other than he earned it.' [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] As Terrell Owens used to say 'it's only a matter of time!' We should see Trubisky take over as the Bears starter at some point in 2017. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 22. [CHI - QB Mark Sanchez dropped to No. 3]( Source: ChicagoBears.com - Larry Mayer Chicago Bears QB [Mark Sanchez](=) will open the regular season as the team's No. 3 quarterback behind starting QB [Mike Glennon](=) and rookie QB Mitchell Trubisky. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] He'll hold a clipboard for now and give the team veteran depth. We wouldn't be surprised to see Sanchez dropped altogether when the reins are handed over to Trubisky. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 23. [DET - WR Kenny Golladay limited Wednesday]() Source: DetroitLions.com - Tim Twentyman Detroit Lions WR Kenny Golladay (ankle) put in a limited practice Wednesday, Sept. 6. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The rookie had plenty of preseason hype...and for good reason. We love his skill set and upside, but this injury (and the learning curve for rookies) will make us wait before even considering Golladay as a 'what the heck' flex. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 24. [NYJ - RB Bilal Powell practices in full](=) Source: NewYorkJets.com New York Jets RB [Bilal Powell](=) (ribs) was listed as a full participant in practice Wednesday, Sept. 6. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Bills have a tough front four on defense, and that could cramp things for Powell and the Jets rushing game in Week 1. We consider Powell a RB2 for fantasy owners. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 25. [NYJ - RB Matt Forte takes part in full practice](=) Source: NewYorkJets.com New York Jets RB [Matt Forte](=) (knee) was able to take part in a full practice session on Wednesday, Sept. 6. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] If you drafted Forte you don't really have much hope for starting him as anything more than a 'I forget to set my lineup' option. He's a RB4 this week against the Bills. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 26. [DET - TE Eric Ebron not on injury report]() Source: DetroitLions.com - Tim Twentyman Detroit Lions TE [Eric Ebron](=) (hamstring) is not listed on the Lions' injury report Wednesday, Sept. 6. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Ebron has upside for fantasy owners if h stays healthy and scores more touchdowns this year. Starting off the year healthy is a good way to begin, and we've got him as a high-end TE2 this week against the Cardinals. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 27. [CAR - QB Cam Newton is listed as full participant]() Source: Panthers.com Carolina Panthers QB [Cam Newton](=) (shoulder) went through a full practice on Wednesday, Sept. 6. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Traveling across the country to play the 49ers in Week 1, we've got Newton as a QB1 for fantasy owners. They've been working on getting him back to full strength before the season and it looks like he's ready. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 28. [CAR - WR Curtis Samuel goes through full practice]() Source: Panthers.com Carolina Panthers WR Curtis Samuel (ankle) went through a full practice session on Wednesday, Sept. 6. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Samuel is a threat every time he touches the ball, but he's still developing as a route runner and his role is a bit unclear. The Panthers would be wise to find all sorts of ways to get him the ball, but Samuel may start as more of a gadget player to begin his pro career. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 29. [CLE - Full practice for WR Kenny Britt]() Source: Akron Beacon Journal - Nate Ulrich Cleveland Browns WR [Kenny Britt](=) (knee) was a full participant in practice Wednesday, Sept. 6. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Britt moves into the no1 WR position for the Browns since Terrelle Pryor is playing for Washington. This week against the Steelers we're not going to recommend Britt as anything more than a WR4 or flex option in PPR leagues. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 30. [BUF - WR Jordan Matthews able to practice fully]( Source: BuffaloBills.com Buffalo Bills WR [Jordan Matthews](=) (chest) was listed as a full participant for practice on Wednesday, Sept. 6. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Matthews has been dealing with this chest injury for most of his short time with the Bills. The plan was to have him ready for Week 1 and it looks like he's ready. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 31. [NE - WR Malcolm Mitchell questionable for Thursday]() Source: ESPNBoston.com - Mike Reiss New England Patriots WR [Malcolm Mitchell](=) (knee) is listed as questionable against the Kansas City Chiefs Thursday, Sept. 7. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] With the game coming up on Thursday night we are at best going to see a limited Mitchell on the football field. Even if he was 100 percent healthy, the second-year pro is not much of a fantasy option. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 32. [CIN - RB Jeremy Hill goes through full practice](=) Source: The Cincinnati Enquirer - Paul Dehner Jr. Cincinnati Bengals RB [Jeremy Hill](=) (ankle) was able to take part in a full practice session on Wednesday, Sept. 6. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Hill is listed atop the depth chart for the Bengals but this ankle injury could negatively impact his performance in Week 1. Watch to see how rookie RB Joe Mixon plays as he's the most talented back on the roster and should emerge as a starting option at some point this year. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 33. [BAL - WR Jeremy Maclin goes through full practice]( Source: BaltimoreRavens.com Baltimore Ravens WR [Jeremy Maclin](=) (hand) was able to take part in a full practice session Wednesday, Sept. 6. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Maclin should be a favorite target for QB Joe Flacco. On the road against the Bengals we can only trust the veteran as a WR3 or flex option for fantasy owners. Flacco missed the entire preseason so any chemistry between the two is still in the early stages. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 34. [SF - TE George Kittle limited at practice]( Source: San Jose Mercury News - Cam Inman San Francisco 49ers TE George Kittle (hamstring) was limited in practice Wednesday, Sept. 6, after aggravating his hamstring injury, according to head coach Kyle Shanahan. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Kittle is the no1 TE for the 49ers with Vance McDonald getting traded to the Steelers. The rookie was bothered by a hamstring injury earlier this preseason, and he's only a player to monitor for dynasty leagues. Most fantasy owners in redraft leagues have better options as rookie TEs usually take some time to get up to speed in the NFL. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 35. [BUF - DT Ahtyba Rubin visited Bills](=) Source: NFL Network - Mike Garafolo Free-agent DT Ahtyba Rubin (Seahawks) visited the Buffalo Bills this week, according to a source. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Rubin is a big-bodied run stuffer, something the Bills could be interested in. Nearing the end of his career, Rubin might want to see if a contending team has any interest. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 36. [ATL - Atlanta signs Trevor Knight]( Source: ESPN.com - Vaughn McClure Free-agent QB Trevor Knight (Cardinals) was signed to the Atlanta Falcons' practice squad Wednesday, Sept. 6. DL Taniela Tupou was released in a corresponding move. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Undrafted out of Texas A&M this year, Knight spent the preseason with the Cardinals. He's rough around the edges as a passer, but Knight is an athletic quarterback who can scramble. We don't have a lot of interest in him, even in super deep dynasty leagues. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 37. [CHI - Chicago to use committee at receiver](=) Source: Chicago Tribune - Brad Biggs Chicago Bears intend to use a committee at receiver to make up the season ending knee injury to WR [Cameron Meredith](=), according to offensive coordinator Dowell Loggains, who stated packages will be designed for specific receivers. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The quarterback situation with Mike Glennon doesn't give us much confidence in the Bears passing attack. If (when?) Glennon is replaced by rookie Mitchell Trubisky, the pecking order in terms of preferred target could be shaken up. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 38. [PHI - WR Alshon Jeffery likely to draw Josh Norman]( Source: ESPN.com - Tim McManus Philadelphia Eagles WR [Alshon Jeffery](=) is expected to be shadowed by Washington Redskins cornerback Josh Norman in Week 1, according to head coach Doug Pederson. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The last time Jeffery played against Washington, he was targeted 10 times and caught 5 passes for 92 yards in Week 16 of 2016. We've got him as a low-end WR2 in PPR leagues this week. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 39. [CAR - WR Kelvin Benjamin primed to excel in 2017]() Source: The Charlotte Observer - Joseph Person Carolina Panthers WR [Kelvin Benjamin](=) has positioned himself to have the best year of his career, according to quarterback [Cam Newton](=). [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] What a roller coaster ride it's been for Benjamin in 2017. He looked like Big Momma's House 4 earlier this year as weight problems had him tilting the scales around 270 pounds. Benjamin worked himself into better shape (240 pounds) and has caught the eye of his teammates. We've got him as a high-end WR2 against the 49ers in Week 1. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 40. [SEA - WR Tyler Lockett pronounces himself fit]( Source: The Seattle Times - Stefanie Loh Seattle Seahawks WR [Tyler Lockett](=) (leg) is listed as [Doug {NAME}](=)'s backup for the season opener against the Green Bay Packers and is listed as the primary kickoff and punt returner on the team's first official depth chart released on Tuesday, Sept. 5. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Lockett could be the team's slot WR now that he's healthy. We love his skill set and natural talent but injuries have knocked his pro career off course. He's a late-round 'lottery ticket' WR in deep leagues and someone to keep on your waiver wire speed dial.
