â [] 1. MIN: T.J. Hockenson tears ACL, MCL in Week 16 [Source: Vikings.com](=) Minnesota Vikings TE T.J. Hockenson (knee) was diagnosed with a torn anterior cruciate ligament and medial collateral ligament in his right knee on Tuesday, Dec. 26. Hockenson will miss the remainder of the season. Our view: Hockenson is done for the year, and now he faces a long road to recovery. This type of injury could take 12 months to properly heal, although we've seen players come back a bit sooner. Hockenson's status for the start of the 2024 season is now up in the air, but we'll know more about him in training camp during the summer. For now, the Vikings turn to guys like Josh Oliver and Johnny Mundt at the position. [Back to Top](#top) [] 2. PIT: Mason Rudolph in line to start [Source: Pittsburgh Tribune-Review - Joe Rutter]( Pittsburgh Steelers QB Mason Rudolph 'has the ball where we stand today,' according to head coach Mike Tomlin Tuesday, Dec. 26. Our view: Rudolph played surprisingly good football in his first start of the season, finishing with 290 yards and two touchdowns in the Steelers' 34-11, Week 16 win over the Bengals. With Kenny Pickett still banged up, the team should stick with Rudolph as their starter. Against the Seahawks in Week 17, Rudolph would be a streaming option for Fantasy GMs or players in start-2QB leagues. [Back to Top](#top)
[] 3. CLE: PJ Walker promoted [Source: Around The NFL]( Cleveland Browns QB PJ Walker was signed off the practice squad and added to the active roster on Tuesday, Dec. 26. Our view: The Browns needed to make a move since they placed Dorian Thompson-Robinson (hip) on injured reserve. Joe Flacco is the starter, and the Browns look like a tough out if they make the postseason as a Wild Card team. Walker will back up Flacco, and perhaps he could get some short-yardage work like Thompson-Robinson was. [Back to Top](#top) [] 4. LAR: Darrell Henderson released [Source: TheRams.com](=) Los Angeles Rams RB Darrell Henderson was released from the practice squad on Tuesday, Dec. 26. Our view: Henderson has been off and on the Rams' roster and practice squad for the last couple of months. Kyren Williams is the main man for the Rams, and guys like Royce Freeman and Ronnie Rivers serve as backups behind him. [Back to Top](#top) [] 5. NYJ: Zach Wilson to miss another game [Source: ESPN.com - Rich Cimini](=) New York Jets QB Zach Wilson (concussion) remains in the league's concussion protocol as of Tuesday, Dec. 26, and has been ruled out for Week 17 against the Cleveland Browns, according to head coach Robert Saleh on Tuesday, Dec. 26. Our view: The Jets go up against the Browns on Thursday night in Week 17. Trevor Siemian gets another start with Wilson out of action. Against the Commanders in Week 16, Siemian completed 27-of-49 passes for 217 yards, one touchdown, and one interception, while also rushing four times for 18 yards with one lost fumble. He'll have a much tougher matchup this Thursday against the Browns. [Back to Top](#top) The best things sent in the Footballguys Group Chat today: - ð He is elite. Everything is okay. Trying to stay [calm around the family during fantasy playoffs.]()â â [] 6. WAS: Jaret Patterson back with Washington [Source: Commanders.com](=) Washington Commanders RB Jaret Patterson was signed to the practice squad of the Washington Commanders on Tuesday, Dec. 26. Our view: Patterson has a low center of gravity, and he can change directions on a dime. He can operate in a phone booth, but he's not a pile pusher. We'll keep monitoring him but only in super crazy deep dynasty formats. Both Brian Robinson (hamstring) and Jonathan Williams (concussion) are banged up for the Commanders. Antonio Gibson and Chris Rodriguez are the primary backs for this team while Robinson is out. [Back to Top](#top) [] 7. KC: Rashee Rice sets franchise rookie record [Source: Fox 4 KC - Jared Bush]() Kansas City Chiefs WR Rashee Rice is up to seven receiving touchdowns, setting a new rookie scoring record in franchise history. He broke a team with TE Fred Arbanas, WR Mecole Hardman, WR Tyreek Hill and WR Stephone Paige, who were all tied with six touchdowns. Our view: Rice is improving as the season goes on. The rookie has become a favorite target for QB Patrick Mahomes, and Fantasy GMs can count on him as a high-end WR2 option on a weekly basis. [Back to Top](#top) [] 8. JAX: Matt Barkley finds new home with Jacksonville [Source: Jacksonville.com - Demetrius Harvey]() New York Giants QB Matt Barkley was signed off the practice squad by the Jacksonville Jaguars on Tuesday, Dec. 26. Our view: Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence (shoulder) has been diagnosed with a sprained shoulder after undergoing an MRI on the injury. The team can turn to CJ Beathard as their starter if/when Lawrence misses time. Barkley is there to run the scout team and serve as a veteran backup. [Back to Top](#top) [] 9. TEN: Devin Asiasi to join Tennessee's practice squad [Source: Colts.com]() Free-agent TE Devin Asiasi was signed to the practice squad of the Tennessee Titans on Tuesday, Dec. 26. Our view: Asiasi, a former third-round pick of the Patriots (2020), has busted so far in the pros. He's been on a few rosters over the last few years, and now the Titans will take a look at him. He's got skill as a receiver, but he's yet to flash that potential in the NFL. Only in super crazy deep dynasty formats will we track what Asiasi is doing. [Back to Top](#top) That'll do it for today, Folks. Thanks for reading and thanks for being part of the Footballguys Family. Let's go get a Championship this week.
