IND: Michael Pittman Jr. downgraded to out [Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter]() Indianapolis Colts WR Michael Pittman Jr. (concussion, shoulder) was downgraded from questionable to out for the Week 16 game against the Atlanta Falcons, the team announced Saturday, Dec. 23. Our view: It's been up and down this week for Pittman but it looks like he won't play this week. [Back to Top](#top) [] 2. IND: Zack Moss ruled out [Source: Colts.com]() Indianapolis Colts RB Zack Moss (forearm) was downgraded from questionable to out for Week 16 on Saturday, Dec. 23. Our view: Moss won't play in Week 16 but the Colts can now go back to Jonathan Taylor as their starter. Taylor has missed the last three games due to a thumb injury, but he's cleared to play on Sunday against the Falcons. [Back to Top](#top) [] 3. JAX: Trevor Lawrence cleared [Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport]() Jacksonville Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence (concussion) has cleared the concussion protocol and is expected to play in Week 16, per source on Saturday, Dec. 23. Our view: Good news for the Jaguars and their passing game here. They're on a three-game slide, and Lawrence gives them the best chance to turn things around in Week 16. Jacksonville (8-6) is in a three-way tie at the top of the AFC South. They travel to take on the Buccaneers on Sunday, and we like Lawrence as a low-end QB1 option for Fantasy GMs out there. [Back to Top](#top) [] 4. TEN: Will Levis unlikely to play [Source: ESPN.com - Jeremy Fowler](=) Tennessee Titans QB Will Levis (ankle) is unlikely to play against the Seattle Seahawks, according to sources Saturday, Dec. 23. Our view: It's been a tough year for QBs staying healthy and it looks like the Titans will be without Levis this week. [Back to Top](#top) [] 5. HOU: Case Keenum likely to start Week 16's game [Source: NFL.com - Grant Gordon]() Houston Texans QB Case Keenum is expected to start Week 16's game against the Cleveland Browns, as a result of QB C.J. Stroud (concussion) having been ruled out. Our view: This makes two starts in a row for Keenum as Stroud needs to miss more time. Keenum threw for 229 yards, one touchdown, and an interception versus the Titans in Week 15. That's fine for a game against the Titans, but the Browns have a much tougher defense. Downgrade all Texans' pass-catchers with Keenum in the lineup. [Back to Top](#top) [] 6. CHI: DJ Moore has been busy [Source: ESPN - Eric Moody]( Chicago Bears WR DJ Moore has been targeted nine or more times in each of the last five games, and Moore has averaged 5.5 receptions and 77.6 receiving yards during that span. Our view: Moore has been producing as a receiver (of course), and the Bears are using him as a rusher from time to time. He's a favorite target of QB Justin Fields, and Moore can be counted on as a low-end WR1 against the Cardinals in Week 16. [Back to Top](#top) [] 7. KC: Travis Kelce good to go [Source: Chiefs.com]() Kansas City Chiefs TE Travis Kelce (neck) practiced in full once again on Saturday, Dec. 23, and was removed from the injury report for Week 16. Our view: Fantasy GMs need to keep pushing forward in the fantasy playoffs. Kelce is ready to go, and he's got a chance (as always) to be the no1 fantasy tight end in Week 16 when the week is over. The Chiefs take on the Raiders on Christmas morning. [Back to Top](#top) [] 8. KC: Isiah Pacheco set to play [Source: Chiefs.com]() Kansas City Chiefs RB Isiah Pacheco (shoulder) was a full participant in practice for the third straight day on Saturday, Dec. 23, and carries no designation into Week 16. Our view: Pacheco is back this week after having to miss a couple of games due to a shoulder injury. Playing against the Raiders on Christmas morning, Pacheco is a low-end RB1 for Fantasy GMs out there. Since Pacheco is playing, Clyde Edwards-Helaire will be a reserve for the Chiefs. [Back to Top](#top) [] 9. KC: Jerick McKinnon ruled out [Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter]() Kansas City Chiefs RB Jerick McKinnon (groin) will not play in Week 16, head coach Andy Reid said on Saturday, Dec. 23. Our view: McKinnon is out of action for Monday's game against the Raiders. With RB Isaih Pacheco returning from his two-game absence, we'll see RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire as his primary backup. Edwards-Helaire has a versatile skill set, and he can be used in similar ways to what McKinnon gets every week. [Back to Top](#top) [] 10. NYG: Darren Waller good to go [Source: Giants.com](=) New York Giants TE Darren Waller (hamstring) practiced in full for the third straight day on Saturday, Dec. 23, and was removed from the injury report. Our view: Waller (hamstring) returned from a five-game absence and finished with four grabs on six targets for 40 yards in a 24-6 loss to the New Orleans Saints in Week 15. Fantasy GMs should consider him as a possible high-end TE2 or flex option in Week 16 as the Giants take on the Eagles on Monday afternoon. [Back to Top](#top) Help Footballguys Get Even Better in 2024 I've long said there's not a smarter group of Fantasy GMs on the planet than our Footballguys Premium Subscribers. We'd like to hear from you about your experience with our in-season tools and features. We'll put your insights to work as we improve our offerings for the 2024 season. NE: Hunter Henry downgraded to out [Source: Patriots.com]() New England Patriots TE Hunter Henry (knee) was downgraded to out for Week 16 on Saturday, Dec. 23. Our view: The Patriots turn to Mike Gesicki as an option on Sunday night against the Broncos. Denver's defense struggles with tight ends, so Gesicki might produce more than anybody expects. Fantasy GMs are taking a risk in the fantasy playoffs if they start Gesicki - even in this sweet matchup. [Back to Top](#top) [] 12. PHI: DeVonta Smith says he'll play [Source: Philadelphia Inquirer - Jeff McLane]() Philadelphia Eagles WR DeVonta Smith (knee) will play in Week 16, he told reporters on Saturday, Dec. 23. Our view: Smith is not 100 percent, but he's going to be out there on Monday against the Giants. Fantasy GMs should consider Smith an option as a WR2/flex option in Week 16. [Back to Top](#top) [] 13. KC: Clyde Edwards-Helaire ready to roll [Source: Chiefs.com]() Kansas City Chiefs RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire (personal) was a full participant in practice on Saturday, Dec. 23, after not taking part the day before and carries no designation into Week 16. Our view: Edwards-Helaire has come through while starting RB Isaih Pacheco had to miss time. Now, Pacheco is back for Week 16 so Edwards-Helaire goes back to more of a reserve role. We like Pacheco as a low-end RB1 against the Raiders on Monday, so Edwards-Helaire is more of a 'what the heck' flex in Week 16. [Back to Top](#top) [] 14. KC: Rashee Rice taken off injury report [Source: Chiefs.com]() Kansas City Chiefs WR Rashee Rice (hamstring) practiced in full once again on Saturday, Dec. 23, and was removed from the injury report. Our view: Rice is a WR1 for Fantasy GMs in the fantasy playoffs. He's a favorite target of QB Patrick Mahomes, and the rookie has gotten better and better as the season has gone on. Mahomes has completed 80 percent of his passes and averaged 9.0 yards per attempt when throwing to Rice, and he has six touchdowns and zero interceptions when targeting the rookie. [Back to Top](#top) [] 15. LVR: Las Vegas likely to release Jimmy Garoppolo [Source: ESPN.com - Bill Barnwell]() The Las Vegas Raiders are expected to release QB Jimmy Garoppolo during the offseason, barring a stunning turn of events, according to ESPN.com's Bill Barnwell. Our view: Zero surprise here, but this is especially unsurprising since the Raiders fired HC Josh McDaniels. Garoppolo was his guy, dating back to their days together with the New England Patriots, but McDaniels failed and Garoppolo can't stay healthy. He's not a great starting option, but some team might be interested in Garoppolo as a "bridge" quarterback to young player in 2024. [Back to Top](#top) That'll do it for today, Folks.
