The guys break down the key matchups and give you fantasy lineup advice for Week 16 of the NFL season in their latest episode of The Audible LIVE! [[youtube]]([[podcast]]([[spotify]](=) [] 1. HOU: C.J. Stroud not expected to play [Source: Click2Houston.com - Aaron Wilson]() Houston Texans QB C.J. Stroud (concussion) is still dealing with symptoms from his concussion and is not expected to play in Week 16, per sources on Tuesday, Dec. 19. Our view: It looks like another week of Case Keenum as the Texans' starter. Against the Browns on Sunday, things could be rough for the Texans' offense. [Back to Top](#top) [] 2. CIN: Ja'Marr Chase could miss two games [Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport](=) Updating previous reports, Cincinnati Bengals WR Ja'Marr Chase (shoulder) could be out for Week 16 and Week 17. Our view: He's certainly going to be out against the Steelers in Week 16, and there's a chance Chase will need to miss another game in Week 17. This week, Tee Higgins will get a featured role and Tyler Boyd will get a bump in potential targets. [Back to Top](#top) [] 3. TEN: Will Levis won't practice [Source: The Associated Press - Teresa M. Walker](=) Tennessee Titans QB Will Levis (ankle) will not practice on Wednesday, Dec. 20, head coach Mike Vrabel said. Our view: Ryan Tannehill is getting the first-team reps on Wednesday. It looks like Levis may have to miss Week 16, and that means Tannehill could be starting once again. [Back to Top](#top) [] 4. IND: Optimism for Jonathan Taylor [Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport]() Indianapolis Colts RB Jonathan Taylor (thumb) is progressing well and will take part in the team's walkthrough on Wednesday, Dec. 20, head coach Shane Steichen said. Our view: Keep an eye on Taylor's status during the week. There is optimism that Taylor will be able to play in Week 16, but he'll be evaluated daily. The Colts travel to play the Falcons on Sunday. Zack Moss (shoulder) plans to play through his injury in Week 16. [Back to Top](#top) [] 5. JAX: Trevor Lawrence misses practice [Source: Jaguars.com](=) Jacksonville Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence (ankle, concussion) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Dec. 20. Our view: Lawrence has already been battling an ankle injury, and now this concussion might keep him out of action. CJ Beathard would start if Lawrence can't play. [Back to Top](#top) [] 6. NO: Chris Olave will play in Week 16 [Source: NewOrleansSaints.com]( New Orleans Saints WR Chris Olave (ankle) will play in Week 16, head coach Dennis Allen said on Wednesday, Dec. 20. Our view: Olave will play against the Rams in Week 16, and that's good news for the Saints' offense. Fantasy GMs should project Olave as a WR2 with upside on Thursday night. [Back to Top](#top) [] 7. BUF: James Cook added to injury report [Source: Buffalo Bills PR]() Buffalo Bills RB James Cook (illness) was added to the injury report on Wednesday, Dec. 20, and did not practice. Our view: The Bills have been featuring Cook more, and it's paying off in the "win" column. He's got an illness, so hopefully he can get healthy and keep producing at a high level in Week 16 as the Bills take on the Chargers Saturday night. [Back to Top](#top) [] 8. MIN: Ty Chandler to see featured role? [Source: ESPN.com - Kevin Seifert]() Minnesota Vikings RB Ty Chandler 'is absolutely a guy that is going to see a featured role in our offense,' head coach Kevin O'Connell said on Tuesday, Dec. 19. Our view: Chandler emerged last week with a huge performance in a featured role. The Vikings need to stick with Chandler having a featured role regardless of the health status of Alexander Mattison. We like Chandler as an RB2 with upside for Fantasy GMs in the second round of the fantasy playoffs. [Back to Top](#top) Help Footballguys Get Even Better in 2024 I've long said there's not a smarter group of Fantasy GMs on the planet than our Footballguys Premium Subscribers. MIA: Tyreek Hill won't practice Wednesday [Source: USA TODAY - Safid Deen](=) Miami Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill (ankle) won't practice on Wednesday, Dec. 20, head coach Mike McDaniel said. Our view: Hill is banged up and getting some rest on a Wednesday. The Dolphins play Sunday afternoon against the Cowboys, so let's see if Hill can practice later in the week with Friday being the big day. Hill missed last week, but reporters around the team seem to indicate that he's trending in the right direction for Week 16. [Back to Top](#top) [] 10. TEN: Ryan Tannehill getting first-team reps [Source: TennesseeTitans.com - Jim Wyatt]( Tennessee Titans QB Will Levis (ankle) will not practice on Wednesday, Dec. 20, and QB Ryan Tannehill will take the first-team reps in his place, head coach Mike Vrabel said on Wednesday, Dec. 20. Our view: The Titans are at home this week against the Seahawks, and Tannehill may be the starter again. Will Levis is battling an ankle injury, so the team may decide to shut him down and go with the veteran. [Back to Top](#top) [] 11. IND: Zack Moss misses practice [Source: Colts.com]() Indianapolis Colts RB Zack Moss (forearm) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Dec. 20. The Colts did not hold a practice Wednesday, so this is an estimation. Our view: The Colts could use Jonathan Taylor this week if he's ready. They didn't practice on Wednesday, so when they're actually out there we'll have a better feel about Moss in Week 16. [Back to Top](#top) [] 12. LVR: Good news for Josh Jacobs [Source: ESPN.com - Field Yates](=) Las Vegas Raiders RB Josh Jacobs was 'close to' playing last week, interim head coach Antonio Pierce said on Wednesday, Dec. 20. Pierce also added, 'if I had to be a betting man, I would think he would play this game.' Our view: That's a good sign that Jacobs should be out there, but we'll still monitor the injury report as the week goes on. The Raiders play on Monday against the Chiefs, so Saturday's report is the main one to monitor. [Back to Top](#top) [] 13. BUF: Dalton Kincaid limited again [Source: Buffalo Bills PR]() Buffalo Bills TE Dalton Kincaid (shoulder) was limited in practice for the second straight day on Wednesday, Dec. 20. Our view: The Bills travel to play the hapless Chargers on Saturday. Since the return of Dawson Knox, Kincaid isn't asked to do as much on offense. Fantasy GMs who made it through the first round of the playoffs could have a better option for another round this weekend. [Back to Top](#top) [] 14. TEN: Treylon Burks won't practice [Source: ESPN.com - Turron Davenport]() Tennessee Titans WR Treylon Burks (undisclosed) will not take part in practice on Wednesday, Dec. 20, head coach Mike Vrabel said. Our view: Burks had three catches for 62 yards in Week 15 against the Texans. As the Titans prepare, likely with Ryan Tannehill at quarterback, Burks is getting some rest for an undisclosed reason. [Back to Top](#top) [] 15. WAS: Brian Robinson a 'DNP' again [Source: Commanders.com](=) Washington Commanders RB Brian Robinson Jr. (hamstring) did not practice on Wednesday, Dec. 20. Our view: Robinson was out of action in Week 15 due to this hamstring problem. Beginning the week of preparation for Week 16 by missing practice is not a great sign. That means the Commanders could continue their RBBC with Chris Rodriguez and Antonio Gibson. [Back to Top](#top) The best things sent in the Footballguys Group Chat today: - 🔮 The Dolphins offense is too good. [Let’s chase that feeling.]() [] 16. HOU: Nico Collins officially limited [Source: Sirius XM NFL Radio - Adam Caplan]( Updating a previous report, Houston Texans WR Nico Collins (calf) was officially limited during practice Wednesday, Dec. 20. Our view: Collins' status is the biggest thing to watch in Texans' practice this week. If he can't play again, then QB Case Keenum should target WR Noah Brown heavily. [Back to Top](#top) [] 17. NYJ: Aaron Rodgers activated from IR [Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter]() New York Jets QB Aaron Rodgers (Achilles) was activated from the Reserve/Injured list Wednesday, Dec. 20. Our view: Rodgers is going to practice with the team, but he's unlikely to make it back to the field for a regular season game. The Jets are out of playoff contention, and Rodgers wants to be ready for the 2024 season so he doesn't need to risk any sort of setback. We'll see if the Jets move on from HC Robert Saleh and OC Nathaniel Hackett this offseason. [Back to Top](#top) [] 18. NYJ: Zach Wilson remains in protocol [Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter]( New York Jets QB Zach Wilson (concussion) remains in the concussion protocol Wednesday, Dec. 20. Our view: Wilson will make his way through the concussion protocol, but the Jets are likely to turn to Trevor Siemian as their starter in Week 16. Against the Commanders, Siemian could make WR Garrett Wilson into a WR2 with upside for Fantasy GMs. [Back to Top](#top) [] 19. PIT: Najee Harris fully participating [Source: Steelers.com - Teresa Varley]( Pittsburgh Steelers RB Najee Harris (knee) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Dec. 20. Our view: The Steelers are up against the Bengals on Saturday with playoff contention on the line. Harris is an RB3/flex option for Fantasy GMs in Week 16. [Back to Top](#top) [] 20. MIN: Alexander Mattison does not practice [Source: Sirius XM NFL Radio - Adam Caplan]( Minnesota Vikings RB Alexander Mattison (ankle) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Dec. 20. Our view: Ty Chandler had a big game last week, and he'll continue as the lead back. We think he should get most of the workload even if Mattison can play. [Back to Top](#top) [] 21. ATL: Taylor Heinicke to start rest of season [Source: NFL.com]() Atlanta Falcons QB Taylor Heinicke will be the starter for the remainder of the season, head coach Arthur Smith said on Wednesday, Dec. 20. Our view: The Falcons have seen enough from Desmond Ridder, and they certainly will be upgrading the position this offseason. Heinicke plays "YOLO" ball, so that's good news for downfield targets like WR Drake London. [Back to Top](#top) [] 22. ATL: Arthur Smith decision coming in offseason [Source: The Athletic - Jeff Schultz](=) Atlanta Falcons head coach Arthur Smith will continue his role until at least the offseason, according to owner Arthur Blank. Our view: Will they or won't they? Smith might get another year as the team's coach, but the Falcons may choose to move on. They're certainly getting a quarterback upgrade this offseason, and that may mean Smith has to go too. Stay tuned. [Back to Top](#top) That'll do it for today, Folks.
