CLE: Joe Flacco elevated [Source: ClevelandBrowns.com]() Cleveland Browns QB Joe Flacco was elevated from the practice squad for Week 14 on Saturday, Dec. 9. Our view: Flacco is in line to start again for the Browns, but the announcement has not been made official. The Browns waived PJ Walker, so it's either Flacco or Dorian Thompson-Robinson. [Back to Top](#top) [] 2. KC: Clyde Edwards-Helaire to start in Week 14 [Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter]( Kansas City Chiefs RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire will start at running back for Week 14's game against the Buffalo Bills, according to head coach Andy Reid. Our view: The former first-round pick lost his job to Pacheco last season. He's been injured often, and his career has been disappointing for the most part. That was then, and this is now. Edwards-Helaire has an opportunity to produce for the Chiefs this week in a big game against the Bills. We like him as an RB2/flex play in Week 14. [Back to Top](#top) [] 3. CLE: Amari Cooper cleared [Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport]() Cleveland Browns WR Amari Cooper (concussion, rib) has received clearance from the concussion protocol and is expected to play in Week 14, per sources on Saturday, Dec. 9. Our view: Cooper is good to go after being limited this week. However, his quarterback situation is unknown. [Back to Top](#top) = = [] 4. GB: Jordan Love on a roll [Source: NFL Network - David Carr](=) Green Bay Packers QB Jordan Love is completing 68.5 percent of his passes and averaging 285.7 yards per game over the last three games, and he has eight touchdowns and zero interceptions during that span. Our view: Love has had a roller-coaster season in 2023. At times, he's seemed like the quarterback of the future. Other times, Love has looked like he needs to be replaced in 2024. With what he's doing over the last three games, Love is trending in the right direction. So long as he finishes the season strong, Love will return as the unquestioned starter in 2024. [Back to Top](#top) [] 5. LAR: Cooper Kupp slumping [Source: ESPN - Eric Moody]( Los Angeles Rams WR Cooper Kupp has been held under 50 receiving yards in six straight games, and he has finished with three or fewer receptions four times in that span. Our view: Kupp is not the set-it-and-forget-it starter he used to be. Instead, Fantasy GMs need to consider him as a flex play as he is in this slump. We'll see what he can do on Sunday against the Ravens. [Back to Top](#top) [] 6. GB: Jayden Reed good to go [Source: Packers.com - Wes Hodkiewicz]( Green Bay Packers WR Jayden Reed (chest) was limited in practice for the third consecutive day on Saturday, Dec. 9, but carries no designation into Week 14. Our view: Good news for the Packers and Reed. [Back to Top](#top) [] 7. SF: Deebo Samuel heating up [Source: ESPN.com]( San Francisco 49ers WR Deebo Samuel has scored three rushing touchdowns in the last four games and has five total touchdowns during that span. Our view: Samuel is one of the most fun players to watch play football. Whether he's in the backfield or lined up as a wide receiver, Samuel can make plays and is tough to bring down with the ball in his hands. He's a WR2/flex play on a weekly basis. [Back to Top](#top) [] 8. GB: Aaron Jones questionable [Source: Packers.com - Wes Hodkiewicz]( Green Bay Packers RB Aaron Jones was limited for the third straight day on Saturday, Dec. 9, and is questionable for Week 14. Our view: The Packers don't play until Monday night so we may not have much more clarity until Monday. If you have Jones, make sure to have a pivot plan. [Back to Top](#top) [] 9. GB: Christian Watson ruled out [Source: Packers.com - Wes Hodkiewicz]( Green Bay Packers WR Christian Watson (hamstring) did not practice once again on Saturday, Dec. 9, and was ruled out for Week 14. Our view: Without Watson (again), the Packers will turn to guys like Romeo Doubs or Jayden Reed in Week 14. [Back to Top](#top) [] 10. PHI: Dallas Goedert will play in Week 14 [Source: NFL Network - Tom Pelissero]( Philadephia Eagles TE Dallas Goedert (forearm) will play in Week 14's game against the Dallas Cowboys. Our view: Good news for Goedert and this Eagles offense. [Back to Top](#top) [] 11. KC: Justyn Ross eligible to return Monday [Source: NFL.com](=) Updating a previous report, Kansas City Chiefs WR Justyn Ross is eligible to return from his six-game suspension for violating the league's personal conduct policy Monday, Dec. 11. Our view: Ross has a ton of physical talent and potential, but he's never produced at the pro level in the way he could. He had previously been on the commissioner's exempt list since October and that time counted toward his suspension. [Back to Top](#top) [] 12. NO: Derek Carr expected to play in Week 14 [Source: NewOrleans.Football - Nick Underhill]() New Orleans Saints QB Derek Carr (concussion, rib, shoulder) has cleared the concussion protocol and is expected to be the starting quarterback in Week 14, according to a source. Our view: Carr has been banged up quite a bit this season, especially over the last month or so. The Saints need to be careful with him because if Carr gets concussed again his season would likely be over (and we'd have to start questioning his career length). Jameis Winston stays as Carr's backup for now. [Back to Top](#top) [] 13. KC: Jerick McKinnon likely to see increased playing time [Source: NFL.com - Kevin Patra]() Kansas City Chiefs RB Jerick McKinnon will see pass-catching duties and could share carries at running back in Week 14's game against the Buffalo Bills with RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire, as a result of RB Isiah Pacheco (shoulder) having been ruled out. Our view: That sounds about right. McKinnon is a fine receiving weapon for the Chiefs, and they're a team that could spread it around to playmakers like him more often. Edwards-Helaire gets a big opportunity this week as the Chiefs lead back, but Fantasy GMs should look at him as an RB2/flex. McKinnon is in the RB4/deep flex level. [Back to Top](#top) That'll do it for today, Folks. Thanks for reading and thanks for being part of the Footballguys Family. We'll see you tomorrow with the Update.
