HOU: Tank Dell out for season [Source: NFL.com](=) Houston Texans WR Tank Dell (ankle, leg) recently underwent ankle surgery and will miss the rest of the 2023 season. Our view: Tough news for an outstanding young player. We'll be looking for him next year. [Back to Top](#top) [] 2. PIT: Kenny Pickett ruled out [Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter]() Pittsburgh Steelers QB Kenny Pickett (ankle) had surgery on his ankle Monday, Dec. 4, and has officially been ruled out for Thursday, Dec. 7, against the New England Patriots. Our view: Zero surprise here. Pickett is out for at least a month, but the full extent of the injury is not known. There's a chance we won't see Pickett the rest of this season. [Back to Top](#top) = = [] 3. NYG: Tyrod Taylor's window opens [Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport]() New York Giants QB Tyrod Taylor (ribs) was designated to return from the Reserve/Injured list Monday, Dec. 4. Our view: We'll know see if the Giants make a change at the starting quarterback spot. Tommy DeVito has filled in with flashed of both good and bad while Taylor has been out. Taylor is the better player, and he's certainly more experienced, but the Giants may want to stick with DeVito. [Back to Top](#top) [] 4. TEN: Derrick Henry not in protocol [Source: TitanInsider.com - Terry McCormick]() Updating a previous report, Tennessee Titans RB Derrick Henry (concussion) is not in the concussion protocol, according to head coach Mike Vrabel on Monday, Dec. 4. This refutes an earlier report from ESPN's Adam Schefter. Our view: He was evaluated for a concussion according to Schefter, but apparently, he's not in the league's protocol. With Henry banged up, the Titans turned to rookie RB Tyjae Spears. We love Spears in dynasty formats, and he's flashed the upside to one day be a lead back. [Back to Top](#top) [] 5. PIT: Trace McSorley joins Pittsburgh [Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter]() Free-agent QB Trace McSorley (Bears) is signing with the Pittsburgh Steelers practice squad, according to sources Monday, Dec. 4. Our view: With Kenny Pickett (ankle surgery) out of action for around a month, the Steelers need more depth at the position. Mitchell Trubisky will be the team's starter, and McSorley will compete in a reserve role/scout team quarterback. [Source: The Athletic - Zack Rosenblatt]() New York Jets QB Zach Wilson is 'reluctant to stepping back in' as the starter, according to sources Monday, Dec. 4. Our view: Wilson was benched for Tim Boyle, and it was a surprise to no one that Boyle is not good either. The team has turned to Trevor Siemian, and he's not a great option either. If Wilson is 'reluctant' then he will be earning a reputation that he does not want in this league. His play was already bad enough, but in his second stop - which should be coming in 2024 - it would benefit him if he had a reputation as a 'team first' guy. [Back to Top](#top) [] 7. NE: Rhamondre Stevenson likely to miss time [Source: The Athletic - Jeff Howe]( Updating previous reports, New England Patriots RB Rhamondre Stevenson (ankle) had X-rays on his ankle following the game on Sunday, Dec. 3, that came back negative. Our view: He will undergo an MRI to determine the severity of the injury. The current belief is that Stevenson could miss multiple games with the injury, according to The Athletic's Jeff Howe. This means Ezekiel Elliott could be in line for a large workload in December. [Back to Top](#top) [] 8. CLE: Dorian Thompson-Robinson still in protocol [Source: The Cleveland Plain Dealer - Mary Kay Cabot]() Cleveland Browns QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson (concussion) remains in the concussion protocol Monday, Dec. 4. Our view: Thompson-Robinson was knocked out against the Broncos in Week 12, and he missed Week 13 while in the league's protocol. We'll see what he looks like this week if he's allowed to practice. For now, Joe Flacco is the Browns' starter. [Back to Top](#top) [] 9. NYJ: Tim Boyle not sharp before getting benched vs. ATL [Source: ESPN.com]() New York Jets QB Tim Boyle finished 14-of-25 for 148 yards and no touchdowns with one interception before he was replaced by Trevor Siemian in Week 13 against the Atlanta Falcons. Boyle ran for two yards on his only carry. Our view: The guy who was not good in college is not good in the pros. In other news, water is wet. The Jets should have known better, but they wanted to get away from Zach Wilson as their starter. Now, rumblings have surfaced that Wilson is 'reluctant' to get back out there as the top quarterback. We could see Trevor Siemian as the starter unless Aaron Rodgers makes his miraculous comeback. [Back to Top](#top) That'll do it for today, Folks.
