NYJ: Aaron Rodgers practice window opens [Source: ESPN.com - Rich Cimini]( New York Jets QB Aaron Rodgers (Achilles) was designated to return from the Reserve/Injured list Wednesday, Nov. 29, and his 21-day practice window opens. Our view: The Jets will get to take a look at Rodgers over the next few weeks. If Tim Boyle can get a couple of wins for them during that time, Rodgers could make a miraculous comeback this season. [Back to Top](#top) [] 2. NFL: DeSean Jackson retires [Source: PhiladelphiaEagles.com]( Former Philadelphia Eagles WR DeSean Jackson announced his retirement Wednesday, Nov. 29. Our view: During his best days, Jackson was a player with the speed to run by defenders in the blink of an eye. He played for six teams in his pro career, including two stints with the Eagles. Jackson was last with the Ravens in 2022. For his career, Jackson finishes with 641 catches, 11,263 receiving yards, and 58 touchdowns in 15 pro seasons. [Back to Top](#top) = = [] 3. NE: Bailey Zappe on track to start? [Source: NBC Sports Boston - Phil Perry](=) New England Patriots QB Bailey Zappe received the vast majority of reps in practice on Wednesday, Nov. 29, with QB Malik Cunningham also mixing in. QB Mac Jones didn't get any reps. Our view: It seems like Jones is out as a starting option. That means we'll see Zappe or Cunningham against the Chargers on Sunday. We've seen enough from Zappe, and he's not much of an upgrade (if any) over Jones. Cunningham has raw tools as a passer, but he's incredibly athletic and we'd like to see him get a chance. [Back to Top](#top) [] 4. IND: Jonathan Taylor expected to avoid IR [Source: FOX 59 Indianapolis - Mike Chappell]() Indianapolis Colts RB Jonathan Taylor (thumb) is expected to avoid injured reserve after having thumb surgery on Wednesday, Nov. 29, head coach Shane Steichen said. Our view: We hope you got Zack Moss on the waiver wire...or you might have kept him in deep-bench leagues. Taylor will be out of action for at least a couple of weeks, but it sounds like less than four weeks will be missed if he's not going on IR. That means Moss will be the lead back, and he's got RB1 upside for Fantasy GMs. [Back to Top](#top) [] 5. IND: Trey Sermon the RB2 [Source: CNHI Sports Indiana - George Bremer](=) Indianapolis Colts RB Trey Sermon will be the backup running back while RB Jonathan Taylor (thumb) is out, according to head coach Shane Steichen. Our view: Zack Moss is the lead back, and he's got RB1 upside for Fantasy GMs. Sermon has talent and instinct as a runner, and we'll see what he can do as the top reserve in the Colts' backfield. [Back to Top](#top) [] 6. CLE: No practice for Kareem Hunt [Source: The Chronicle-Telegram - Scott Petrak]() Cleveland Browns RB Kareem Hunt (groin) will not participate in practice Wednesday, Nov. 29. Our view: Hunt is getting a bit of rest to start the week of practice. He's the backup to Jerome Ford, and there are no reports about this groin injury being serious. [Back to Top](#top) [] 7. TB: Baker Mayfield expected to play [Source: ESPN.com - Jenna Laine]() Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Baker Mayfield (ankle) is expected to play in the Week 13 game even though he is dealing with an ankle injury, according to head coach Todd Bowles. Our view: Testing revealed no major concerns about Mayfield's ankle injury. He should be out there for a home game against the Panthers in Week 13. [Back to Top](#top) [] 8. CLE: Joe Flacco may start in Week 13 [Source: The Chronicle-Telegram - Scott Petrak]() Cleveland Browns QB Joe Flacco could be the starting quarterback for the team's Week 13 game since head coach Kevin Stefanski said Flacco will open practice this week as the No. 2 quarterback behind QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson (concussion). Our view: Flacco joined the team less than two weeks ago, and now he might be thrust into starting on the road against the Rams in Week 13. PJ Walker filled in last week against the Broncos after Thompson-Robinson was hurt, and they must think Flacco is a better option. [Back to Top](#top) [] 9. HOU: Noah Brown practicing Wednesday [Source: Click2Houston.com - Aaron Wilson]( Houston Texans WR Noah Brown (knee) returned to practice on Wednesday, Nov. 29. Our view: Brown was fantastic for the Texans in Week 9 (153 yards, 1 touchdown) and Week 10 (172 yards), but he's been out of action the last couple of weeks. Getting this practice in on Wednesday indicates he will be out there against the Broncos on Sunday. If Brown plays, he's a big-play threat with flex appeal in Week 13. TEN: Treylon Burks still in protocol [Source: TennesseeTitans.com - Jim Wyatt]( Tennessee Titans WR Treylon Burks (concussion) remains in the concussion protocol but the team is hopeful he can return to practice this week, head coach Mike Vrabel said on Monday, Nov. 27. Our view: Burks will have to be cleared for practice, resume practice, and see how he feels afterward. That's something that could happen this week as the Titans prepare for a divisional matchup against the Colts in Week 13. [Back to Top](#top) [] 11. MIA: Chris Brooks cleared to practice [Source: Sun-Sentinel - David Furones](=) Miami Dolphins RB Christopher Brooks (ankle) was designated to return from injured reserve on Wednesday, Nov. 29. Our view: Brooks is a player who gets some love in deep dynasty formats. He's mostly played special teams this year, but we'll monitor him and will be looking forward to any opportunities he gets in one of the league's most exciting offenses. [Back to Top](#top) [] 12. DET: Hendon Hooker designated to return [Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport]() Detroit Lions QB Hendon Hooker (knee) was designated to return from the reserve/non-football injury list on Wednesday, Nov. 29, per sources. Our view: Hooker is a player we love in dynasty formats. He's got the upside to be a franchise quarterback, and the Lions will get to look at him in practice here near the end of the regular season. We doubt he plays this year, but Hooker has a chance to be the heir apparent to QB Jared Goff. [Back to Top](#top) [] 13. HOU: Tank Dell dealing with calf injury [Source: Click2Houston.com - Aaron Wilson]( Houston Texans WR Tank Dell (calf) was not spotted at practice on Wednesday, Nov. 29, but his calf injury is considered minor and he's expected to play in Week 13, per source. Our view: The Texans are giving the rookie speedster a day off. He'll be out there (most likely) against the Broncos on Sunday, and Dell has WR1 upside in this matchup. [Back to Top](#top) [] 14. NYG: Two Giants inching closer to return [Source: GiantsWire - Serena Burks]() New York Giants TE Darren Waller (hamstring) and QB Tyrod Taylor (rib) are feeling better and have a chance to return to practice after the bye week, head coach Brian Daboll said on Monday, Nov. 27. Our view: We'll if one or both can be back out there in Week 14. Tommy DeVito has played better as the Giants' starter, but the team might turn back to Taylor. No matter who is the quarterback, having a weapon like Waller out there would really help. Check your waiver wire to see if Waller was released since he's been out with this hamstring injury. [Back to Top](#top) [] 15. HOU: C.J. Stroud chucking it down the field [Source: ProFootballReference.com]() Houston Texans QB C.J. Stroud leads the league in completed air yards (1,927) and completed air yards per completion (7.7), ranks second in intended air yards (3,552) and completed air yards per pass attempt (4.9) and third in intended air yards per pass attempt (9.1), according to Pro Football Reference. Stroud is also tied for first among qualified quarterbacks in interception rate (1.3 percent). Our view: Not only does Stroud launch passes down the field regularly, his pass placement is outstanding and he gives his guys the best chance to do something with the ball after the catch. Against a surging Broncos defense in Week 13, Stroud should still post QB1 numbers from a fantasy perspective. [Back to Top](#top) [] 16. CLE: Dorian Thompson-Robinson to miss practice [Source: The Chronicle-Telegram - Scott Petrak]() Cleveland Browns QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson (concussion) will not participate in practice Wednesday, Nov. 29. Our view: Thompson-Robinson was concussed against the Broncos and the team may be turning to Joe Flacco this week. They travel to take on the Rams in Week 13. If they don't want to activate Flacco, then PJ Walker would get another start in case Thompson-Robinson can't play. [Back to Top](#top) That'll do it for today, Folks.
