[JOIN NOW 👉]() [] 1. GB: Luke Musgrave placed on IR [Source: Packers.com]( Green Bay Packers TE Luke Musgrave (abdomen) was placed on injured reserve on Wednesday, Nov. 22. Our view: We were waiting for this confirmation, and here we go. Musgrave has a concerning injury with this lacerated kidney. Now on IR, the rookie tight end will be out of action for at least four weeks. In fact, he might be on IR for longer than that. We'll see plenty of Tucker Kraft while Musgrave is out. [Back to Top](#top) [] 2. MIA: De'Von Achane to practice [Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport]() Miami Dolphins RB De'Von Achane (knee) will practice Wednesday, Nov.22, which will determine if or how much he'll play in Week 12 Friday, Nov. 24. Our view: Dolphins' HC Mike McDaniel said he would be 'mildly surprised' if Achane plays this week. Their game is on Friday this week against the Jets, so we'll have to see how his body responds before knowing if Achane is going to play. Even if he does play, Achane could be limited or re-aggravate his injury. [Back to Top](#top) = = [] 3. LAC: Joey Bosa to IR [Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport]() Los Angeles Chargers DE/LB Joey Bosa (foot) was placed on the Reserve/Injured list Wednesday, Nov. 22. OLB Andrew Farmer was promoted to the 53-man roster. Our view: Most expected this to happen after Bosa was carted off the field in Week 11 against the Packers. Now on IR, Bosa will miss at least the next four weeks but it could be longer than that. The Chargers defense will be even easier to move the ball against. [Back to Top](#top) [] 4. LAR: Kyren Williams returning [Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter]() Los Angeles Rams RB Kyren Williams (ankle) was designated to return from IR Wednesday, Nov. 22, and he's expected to play in Week 12. Our view: Williams is not only going to play, but he should be the lead back for the Rams again. The RB1 upside is there, but in his first game back, Fantasy GMs should be thinking of him as more of an RB2 with upside. Royce Freeman should be backing up Williams as the no.2 back. [Back to Top](#top) [] 5. GB: Aaron Jones unlikely this week [Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport](=) Green Bay Packers RB Aaron Jones (knee) is unlikely to play Thursday, Nov. 23, in Week 12. Our view: This just seems like a lost season for Jones. The Packers will turn to AJ Dillon as their top back as they play the Lions on Thanksgiving. We have Dillon in the RB3/flex range in Week 12. Although make sure to check Dillon's status pre-game as he's banged up too. [Back to Top](#top) [] 6. CAR: Day off for Adam Thielen [Source: Panthers.com]( Carolina Panthers WR Adam Thielen (non-injury) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Nov. 22. Our view: Nothing to see here people. It's Wednesday, and that means a veteran day off for guys like Thielen. [Back to Top](#top) [] 7. DAL: Rico Dowdle questionable [Source: FOX Sports - Ralph Vacchiano]() Dallas Cowboys RB Rico Dowdle (ankle) was limited in practice on Wednesday, Nov. 22, after not practicing the two days prior and is questionable for Week 12. Our view: This could mean Dowdle doesn't play much if at all against the Commanders on Thanksgiving. If Dowdle is out of action or limited with this ankle injury, it could mean more Tony Pollard. [Back to Top](#top) [] 8. HOU: Dameon Pierce practicing [Source: Click2Houston.com - Aaron Wilson]( Houston Texans RB Dameon Pierce (ankle) returned to practice on Wednesday, Nov. 22. Our view: Pierce was practicing late last week, but he still did not play in Week 11. Now, he's closer to returning and that complicates things for Fantasy GMs. Over the last two weeks as the Texans' featured back, Devin Singletary has put together back-to-back 100-yard games. When Pierce returns, he'll cut into the touches for Singletary. Right now, we like Singletary as a RB3/flex option in Week 12. [Back to Top](#top) 🚀 Week 12 MUST START Players! Alfredo Brown and Dave Kluge list their favorite Starts and Sleepers for Week 12! [[youtube]]()[[podcast]]([[spotify]](=) [] 9. NYG: Daniel Jones has surgery [Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport]() New York Giants QB Daniel Jones (knee) underwent successful surgery Wednesday, Nov. 22, to repair his torn anterior cruciate ligament. Our view: Now, the road to recovery begins for the Giants quarterback. It usually takes a year for this injury to be fully healed, so even by the start of the 2024 season, Jones may not be ready for action. We'll know more about his status next year in training camp. [Back to Top](#top) [] 10. WAS: Curtis Samuel good to go [Source: Commanders.com](=) Washington Commanders WR Curtis Samuel (toe) was a full participant in practice for the third straight day on Wednesday, Nov. 22, and was removed from the injury report. Our view: Samuel will be out there for the Commanders against the Cowboys on Thanksgiving. We like him in the super deep 'what the heck' flex spot in Week 12. [Back to Top](#top) [] 11. BAL: Rashod Bateman injures foot [Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter]( Baltimore Ravens WR Rashod Bateman (foot) suffered a foot injury during practice Wednesday, Nov. 22, but head coach John Harbaugh said Bateman should be fine. Our view: Any sort of injury with Bateman is a concern. This is not a serious injury, but Bateman is injured quite a bit. As the Ravens' passing game continues to flourish, we'll see if Bateman can do more. [Back to Top](#top) [] 12. NO: Full practice for Derek Carr [Source: NewOrleans.Football - Nick Underhill]() New Orleans Saints QB Derek Carr (concussion) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Nov. 22. Our view: Carr looks like he's back in action for the Saints. So long as he's fine after practice and clears the concussion protocol, Carr will be good to go for a Week 12 game against the Falcons. [Back to Top](#top) [] 13. CIN: Tee Higgins likely to practice [Source: NFL.com]() Cincinnati Bengals WR Tee Higgins (hamstring) is likely to practice on Wednesday, Nov. 22., head coach Zac Taylor said. Our view: It's a non-issue for Fantasy GMs. If Higgins does play against the Steelers, he's in the WR8 range...that means you're not starting him. The entire Bengals' passing game is downgraded without QB Joe Burrow. [Back to Top](#top) [] 14. SEA: DK Metcalf should be available [Source: Seahawks.com - John Boyle](=) Seattle Seahawks WR DK Metcalf (toe) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Nov. 22, and is not on the injury report for Week 12. Our view: Great news for Metcalf and the Seahawks here. [Back to Top](#top) [] 15. NYG: Eric Gray on the comeback trail [Source: NFL.com]() New York Giants RB Eric Gray (calf) was designated to return from injured reserve on Wednesday, Nov. 22. Our view: Gray suffered this calf injury back in Week 7. Now, he's back out there to work into the mix as a reserve runner. We like him in deep dynasty formats, but this year Gray is primarily working on special teams if/when he does play. [Back to Top](#top) [] 16. SEA: Kenneth Walker unlikely to play [Source: Seahawks.com - John Boyle](=) Seattle Seahawks RB Kenneth Walker III (oblique) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Nov. 22, and is listed as doubtful for Week 12. Our view: Seattle will have WR DK Metcalf but it's looking like they won't have RB Kenneth Walker this week. [Back to Top](#top) [] 17. HOU: Noah Brown doing work after the catch [Source: ProFootballReference.com](=) Houston Texans WR Noah Brown leads all qualified wide receivers with 9.1 yards after the catch per reception, according to Pro Football Reference. Our view: That sounds about right based on the film study. Brown just won't go down. He fights and fights after the catch, and he can break tackles from unsuspecting defenders. His strength helps him work through arm tackles, and his foot frequency allows him to stay balanced and eat up yards quickly. [Back to Top](#top) [] 18. DET: David Montgomery plowing through defenders [Source: ProFootballReference.com]() Detroit Lions RB David Montgomery ranks second among qualified rushers by averaging a broken tackle every 8.4 rush attempts, according to Pro Football Reference. Our view: Montgomery missed time with a rib injury earlier this year, but he's come back and looked like his former self. A big part of his game is what he can do after contact. Montgomery does a good job of keeping his feet, and he will fight relentlessly for extra yards. [Back to Top](#top) [] 19. PIT: Jaylen Warren making a mockery of defenses [Source: ProFootballReference.com]() Pittsburgh Steelers RB Jaylen Warren leads all qualified rushers by averaging a broken tackle every 6.2 rush attempts, according to Pro Football Reference. Our view: There's a reason why Warren was named the Steelers' starter, and his tackle-breaking ability is part of that. Warren gets a head of steam before contact, and with his size and intent, he becomes incredibly difficult for defenders to bring down. [Back to Top](#top) [] 20. BUF: Khalil Shakir making the case for bigger role [Source: ProFootballReference.com](=) Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen has posted a passer rating of 145.4 when targeting Khalil Shakir this season, according to Pro Football Reference. That mark is the best in the league among qualified pass-catchers. Our view: Shakir can benefit from defenses focusing so much attention on WR Stefon Diggs. We're seeing Gabe Davis lose targets to guys like Shakir and TE Dalton Kincaid. That's bad news for Davis but good news for the passing game as Allen can spread the ball around more. With Shakir's talent and 'my ball' mentality, we like him as a deep flex play with upside. [Back to Top](#top) That'll do it for today, Folks. Thanks for reading and thanks for being part of the Footballguys Family. Enjoy the games today and I hope you have a joyful Thanksgiving.
