Remember the early kickoff in Germany this Sunday. And we've got the News and Notes you need, but first, I hope you'll indulge me a moment as we celebrate Veteran's Day. As I always do on this day, I'm including the essay titled "What is A Vet". Please take a moment and thank a Veteran today. These Men and Women rock. --------------------------------------------------------------- What is a Veteran? Some veterans bear visible signs of their service: a missing limb, a jagged scar, a certain look in the eye. Others may carry the evidence inside them: a pin holding a bone together, a piece of shrapnel in the leg - or perhaps another sort of inner steel: the soul's ally forged in the refinery of adversity. Except in parades, however, the men and women who have kept America safe wear no badge or emblem. You can't tell a vet just by looking. They are the cop on the beat who spent six months in Saudi Arabia sweating two gallons a day making sure the armored personnel carriers didn't run out of fuel. They are the barroom loudmouth, dumber than five wooden planks, whose overgrown frat-boy behavior is outweighed a hundred times in the cosmic scales by four hours of exquisite bravery near the 38th parallel. They are the nurse who fought against futility and went to sleep sobbing every night for two solid years in Da Nang. They are the POW who went away one person and came back another - or didn't come back AT ALL. They are the Quantico drill instructor who has never seen combat - but has saved countless lives by turning slouchy, no-account rednecks and gang members into Marines, and teaching them to watch each other's backs. They are the parade-riding Legionnaire who pins on his ribbons and medals with a prosthetic hand. They are the career quartermaster who watches the ribbons and medals pass him by. They are the three anonymous heroes in The Tomb Of The Unknowns, whose presence at the Arlington National Cemetery must forever preserve the memory of all the anonymous heroes whose valor dies unrecognized with them on the battlefield or in the ocean's sunless deep. They are the old guy bagging groceries at the supermarket - palsied now and aggravatingly slow - who helped liberate a Nazi death camp and who wishes all day long that his wife were still alive to hold him when the nightmares come. They are an ordinary and yet an extraordinary human being - a person who offered some of his life's most vital years in the service of his country, and who sacrificed his ambitions so others would not have to sacrifice theirs. They are a soldier and a savior and a sword against the darkness, and he is nothing more than the finest, greatest testimony on behalf of the finest, greatest nation ever known. So remember, each time you see someone who has served our country, just lean over and say Thank You. That's all most people need, and in most cases, it will mean more than any medals they could have been awarded or were awarded. Two little words that mean a lot, "THANK YOU". "It is the soldier, not the reporter, Who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, Who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, Who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier, Who salutes the flag, Who serves beneath the flag, and whose coffin is draped by the flag, who allows the protestor to burn the flag." -- Father Denis Edward O'Brien/USMC ****** --------------------------------------------------------------- Thank you, Veterans. They have helped me dominate my league to the point that I'm called the Evil Empire by my league mates" - Rick Himes @bigisland31 [] 1. CIN: Tee Higgins officially out [Source: The Athletic - Paul Dehner Jr.]() Cincinnati Bengals WR Tee Higgins (hamstring) did not practice Friday, Nov. 10, and was ruled out for the Week 10 game against the Houston Texans. Our view: Higgins hamstring injury on Wednesday will keep him out this week, and with a Thursday game vs. Baltimore next week, he's likely out for Week 11. Hopefully, we'll see him get in at least a limited practice next week to set the scene for a Week 12 return, but don't be surprised if this is a three-week absence. Tyler Boyd and Irv Smith Jr. become better plays with Higgins out, but this is a hit to Joe Burrow's outlook with Ja'Marr Chase also ailing. [Back to Top](#top) [] 2. CIN: Ja'Marr Chase practicing Friday [Source: ESPN - Ben Baby](=) Cincinnati Bengals WR Ja'Marr Chase (back) is practicing Friday, Nov. 10. Our view: It looks like Chase will play Sunday, but we can't be sure how effective he will be. Either way, he and Joe Burrow will be in fantasy lineups. Tee Higgins will miss Week 10, so if Chase's back injury doesn't affect him too much, he could get a ton of targets against Houston. [Back to Top](#top) = = [] 3. HOU: Nico Collins not spotted Friday [Source: Houston Chronicle - Jonathan Alexander]( Houston Texans WR Nico Collins (calf) was not spotted at practice Friday, Nov. 10. Our view: Collins is out for Week 10. Tank Dell and Noah Brown could get more targets with Collins out, and Robert Woods is returning this week, but with a tough matchup against the Bengals, maybe CJ Stroud isn't a QB1 this week even though he just set the rookie passing yards in a game record last week. [Back to Top](#top) [] 4. JAX: Zay Jones likely a no-go in Week 10 [Source: 1010XL AM - Hays Carlyon]() Jacksonville Jaguars WR Zay Jones (knee) is 'a longshot' to play in Week 10 versus the San Francisco 49ers, according to head coach Doug Pederson on Friday, Nov. 10. Our view: Jones originally suffered this knee injury in Week 2, tried to come back in Week 6, but lasted only one game, and now will miss his fourth game in a row. Either the Jaguars and Jones underestimated the duration he would be out, as he could have gone on injured reserve and opened up a roster spot, or he had a setback in his recovery. Trevor Lawrence is going to have trouble hitting his ceiling until Jones returns. [Back to Top](#top) [] 5. ATL: Drake London good to go vs. Arizona [Source: AtlantaFalcons.com]() Atlanta Falcons WR Drake London (groin) practiced in full for a second consecutive day on Friday, Nov. 10, and was removed from the injury report for Week 10 versus the Arizona Cardinals. Our view: You can put London back in lineups in a good matchup at Arizona. Hopefully we'll learn that Taylor Heinicke is going to be a boost for London's fantasy stock. [Back to Top](#top) [] 6. BUF: Stefon Diggs pops up on Buffalo's practice report [Source: ESPN.com - Alaina Getzenberg]() Buffalo Bills WR Stefon Diggs (back) was added to the injury report with a back issue following a limited practice on Friday, Nov. 10. Our view: The Bills are playing Monday night, so we'll have to watch tomorrow's practice report to know where we stand going into Sunday. If Diggs has to sit, Khalil Shakir, Dalton Kincaid, and Gabe Davis will have to pick up the slack and Josh Allen won't be rated an elite QB1 play against Denver. [Back to Top](#top) [] 7. ATL: Kyle Pitts misses practice [Source: AZCardinals.com - Darren Urban]( Atlanta Falcons TE Kyle Pitts (non-injury) did not participate in practice Friday, Nov. 10, but is not on the injury report for Week 10. Our view: The good news is he's not on the injury report. But watch this one Saturday to see what's up here. [Back to Top](#top) [] 8. BAL: Baltimore's Week 10 injury report [Source: BaltimoreRavens.com](=) Baltimore Ravens CB Marlon Humphrey (hamstring) was limited in practice for a second consecutive day on Friday, Nov. 10, and is listed as questionable for Week 10 versus the Cleveland Browns. CB Jalyn Armour-Davis (illness), RB Keaton Mitchell (hamstring) and OT Morgan Moses (shoulder) practiced in full on Friday but are also listed as questionable. WR Rashod Bateman (back), WR Odell Beckham Jr. (rest, knee), DT Michael Pierce (illness) and S Marcus Williams (hamstring) practiced in full on Friday and have been removed from the injury report. Our view: Mitchell is a great what-the-heck flex play coming off of his 138 yard rushing performance on only nine carries, but the questionable tag means we have to check on his status Sunday morning before using him in lineups. The full practice today should be reassuring if you were planning on playing him. [Back to Top](#top) [] 9. MIN: T.J. Hockenson questionable vs. NO [Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter]( Minnesota Vikings TE T.J. Hockenson (ribs) is listed as questionable for Week 10 against the New Orleans Saints. Our view: Hockenson is expected to play, but check back Sunday morning just in case. He's a solid TE1 even with Joshua Dobbs at quarterback and the possibility that Justin Jefferson will return this week. [Back to Top](#top) [] 10. IND: Week 10 injury report for Indianapolis [Source: Colts.com]( Indianapolis Colts CB Julius Brents (quad) and TE Drew Ogletree (foot) did not practice all week and have been ruled out for Week 10 against the New England Patriots. WR Josh Downs (knee) also did not practice all week but is listed as questionable. LB Zaire Franklin (knee) and WR Alec Pierce (ankle) were upgraded to a full practice on Friday but are also listed as questionable. DB Tony Brown (concussion) and OT Braden Smith (hip, rest) also practiced in full on Friday and no longer appear on the injury report. Our view: Downs is questionable, but it's difficult to see a rookie playing without practicing, especially when he had to leave the previous week's game with the injury. The Colts play at 930 eastern on Sunday in Germany, so make sure to take Downs out of your lineup before you go to sleep Saturday night. [Back to Top](#top) [] 11. WAS: Curtis Samuel questionable for Week 10 [Source: Commanders.com - Zach Selby]() Washington Commanders WR Curtis Samuel (toe) is listed as questionable for Week 10 versus the Seattle Seahawks. Our view: Even if Samuel is back, Jahan Dotson is hot right now and worthy of a WR3/Flex start. If Samuel is out there, Sam Howell becomes a better Week 10 play on the road. [Back to Top](#top) [] 12. ARI: James Conner trending in right direction [Source: AZCardinals.com - Darren Urban]( Arizona Cardinals RB James Conner (knee) is 'trending in the right direction' to play in Week 10 against the Atlanta Falcons, according to sources Friday, Nov. 10. Our view: As long as Conner is active, he should be in your lineup. With Kyler Murray starting and Conner due back, this should be the best the Cardinals offense has looked all year, and it has room to grow in the second half of the season. [Back to Top](#top) [] 13. CLE: Cleveland short on tackles ahead of Week 10 [Source: The Cleveland Plain Dealer - Mary Kay Cabot]() Cleveland Browns OT Dawand Jones (knee, shoulder) did not practice for a third consecutive day on Friday, Nov. 10, and appears unlikely to play in Week 10 versus the Baltimore Ravens. With OT Jack Conklin (knee) out for the season, OT Jedrick Wills (knee) on the Reserve/Injured list and Jones ailing, the Browns may be forced to start Geron Christian and James Hudson at left tackle and right tackle, respectively. Our view: The Ravens pass rush has been one of the best in the league with a revitalized Jadeveon Clowney, so this is bad news for Deshaun Watson. Don't expect a lot of production through the air for the Browns this week. [Back to Top](#top) [] 14. MIN: Justin Jefferson draws questionable tag for Week 10 [Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter]( Minnesota Vikings WR Justin Jefferson (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Week 10 against the New Orleans Saints. Our view: The team already said that a Week 10 return would be "aggressive" for Jefferson, but if he's active, we have to put him in lineups. If Jefferson is out there, we'll see if Joshua Dobbs can support the value of three passcatchers - TJ Hockenson and Jordan Addison being the other two.
