ARI: Clayton Tune expected to start in Week 9 [Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter]( Arizona Cardinals QB Clayton Tune is expected to make his first career NFL start in Week 9's game against the Cleveland Browns, according to multiple sources. Our view: No surprise here as Tune repped with the starters during the week of practice. Kyler Murray did practice, but he was seen throwing to backups during the media portion of practice this week. Expect Murray back in the lineup next week, but Tune will get this start with Jeff Driskel backing him up. [Back to Top](#top) [] 2. ARI: Kyler Murray won't be activated [Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport]() Arizona Cardinals QB Kyler Murray (knee) won't be activated from reserve/physically unable to perform list before the Week 9 game, per sources on Saturday, Nov. 4, but is expected to play in Week 10. Our view: His 21-day window to be activated closes next week. Murray is close, but it will be Clayton Tune as the team's starter in Week 9. Jeff Driskel will work as his backup while Murray gets one more week of rest. Next week, Murray should return as the Cardinals starter. [Back to Top](#top) = = [] 3. LAR: Brett Rypien could start in Week 9 [Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter](=) Los Angeles Rams QB Brett Rypien would likely start Week 9's game against the Green Bay Packers if QB Matthew Stafford (thumb) is unable to play. Our view: Stafford has been listed as questionable for the game against the Packers. Rams HC Sean McVay has indicated Stafford is a game-time decision, and it mainly depends on whether Stafford can grip the football. If Stafford can't go (he didn't practice all week) then Rypien gets the nod. Downgrade your expectations for the Rams offense if Rypien is under center. [Back to Top](#top) [] 4. TEN: TEN not ready to name Will Levis permanent starter [Source: NFL.com](=) Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Vrabel is not ready to officially name QB Will Levis as his team's starting quarterback, although he added that the organization will have a depth-chart conversation this weekend and see where things stand Tuesday, Nov. 7. Our view: Levis completed 22-of-39 passes for 262 yards and one interception in the Titans' 20-16, Week 9 loss to the Steelers on Thursday night. The rookie quarterback kept his team in the contest until the end, but now at 3-5, the Titans are hustling to get back into the playoff picture. Instead of going back to Ryan Tannehill, Vrabel may believe Levis gives them their best chance to win going forward. [Back to Top](#top) [] 5. NFL - Martavis Bryant reinstated [Source: NFL Network - Tom Pelissero]( Free-agent WR Martavis Bryant (XFL) has been reinstated by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell and has drawn interest from multiple teams, according to agent James Peterson. Our view: On indefinite suspension since 2020, Bryant should get interest now that he's allowed to play in the NFL again. He has not played in the NFL since 2018 and spent last summer in the XFL. Bryant is a big-bodied receiver with a nose for the end zone. In this league, that's going to garner some attention. [Back to Top](#top) [] 6. CHI: Montez Sweat agrees to extension [Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport]() Chicago Bears DE Montez Sweat agreed to a four-year contract extension worth $98 million in new money on Saturday, Nov. 4. The deal includes $72.8 million guaranteed. Our view: The Bears traded a second-round pick to acquire Sweat this past week, but he was set to hit free agency in 2024. Now, Sweat earns a contract that makes him one of the highest-paid pass-rushers in the league. Let's see if he can stay healthy and play up to his potential to help a struggling Bears defense. [Back to Top](#top) [] 7. LAR: Dresser Winn elevated for Week 9 [Source: Rams.com](=) Los Angeles Rams QB Dresser Winn was elevated from the practice squad for Week 9 on Saturday, Nov. 4. Our view: This could be a sign that Matthew Stafford (thumb) is going to miss the game in Week 9. If that's the case, Brett Rypien would start for the Rams and Winn could back him up. [Back to Top](#top) [] 8. NO: Rashid Shaheed only scratching the surface [Source: 1 No Source]( New Orleans Saints WR Rashid Shaheed leads the NFL with 20.8 yards per reception, and head coach Dennis Allen said Shaheed has yet to reach his ceiling. 'I think there's still a lot of meat left on the bone in terms of what we need to be able to do and what he can do,' Allen said. 'Obviously his explosiveness down the field is probably his biggest trait.' Our view: There is no doubt that Shaheed can take the top off the defense. He's a part-time player for the Saints, but Shaheed could be in line for a bump in playing time. With his current role, Shaheed makes for a nice flex play with upside for Fantasy GMs out there. [Back to Top](#top) [] 9. CLE: James Proche to be elevated from practice squad [Source: The Athletic - Zac Jackson]( Cleveland Browns WR James Proche will be elevated from the practice squad Saturday, Nov. 4, for Week 9's game against the Arizona Cardinals. Our view: Proche is fast, but his role on offense may be limited. Instead, look for Proche to get some opportunity on special teams. Either Proche or WR Elijah Moore could be used to return punts, although there is a possibility that both players would share the responsibility. [Back to Top](#top) [] 10. MIN: MIN still interested in bringing back Kirk Cousins [Source: ESPN.com - Kevin Seifert]( The Minnesota Vikings remain interested in signing QB Kirk Cousins (Achilles') to a contract extension, even though he sustained a torn Achilles' tendon in Week 8's game versus the Green Bay Packers which will cause him to miss the rest of the 2023 season, according to general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah. Our view: This sentiment has been out there before, but money talks, and Cousins will be a free agent next year. When the new league year rolls around, we'll see what kind of market forms for Cousins especially since he's going to be still recovering from this Achilles' injury. The Vikings could easily be in on Cousins if the price is right. [Back to Top](#top) That'll do it for today, Folks. Thanks for reading and I hope all the bounces go your way today.
