They have helped me dominate my league to the point that I'm called the Evil Empire by my league mates" - Rick Himes @bigisland31 [] 1. NYG: Tyrod Taylor won't play Week 9 [Source: Giants.com - Dan Salomone]() New York Giants QB Tyrod Taylor (ribs) was ruled out for the Week 9 game against the Las Vegas Raiders on Thursday, Nov. 2. Our view: Taylor's rib injury landed him in the hospital, but he's on the road to recovery now. He's out, but fortunately, Daniel Jones (neck) has been cleared for contact and will start for the Giants this week. Let's see if Jones learned a thing or two about distributing the football while he watched Taylor in the starting lineup. [Back to Top](#top) [] 2. CLE: Deshaun Watson unsure for Week 9 [Source: ESPN - Jake Trotter]() Cleveland Browns QB Deshaun Watson (shoulder) told the media he's 'not sure' if he will be able to play in Week 9 against the Arizona Cardinals on Thursday, Nov. 2. Our view: Watson has been throwing in practice, but that's just part of his recovery process. Nobody knows Watson's body better than himself, so there's really no way of knowing when he's going to be out there. Watson has been medically cleared since Week 4, but he's barely played since then. If he's out of action, PJ Walker gets the start again for the Browns. [Back to Top](#top) = = [] 3. NYG: Darren Waller ruled out for Week 9 [Source: Giants.com - Dan Salomone]() New York Giants TE Darren Waller (hamstring) was ruled out for the Week 9 game against the Las Vegas Raiders, according to sources Thursday, Nov. 2. Our view: Waller may be out for some time with this hamstring injury. In fact, he may not be back in action for a few weeks (at least). Daniel Bellinger will get more work with Waller out. [Back to Top](#top) [] 4. HOU: Dameon Pierce a no-go again on Thursday [Source: KPRC.com - Aaron Wilson]( Houston Texans RB Dameon Pierce (ankle) did not practice for a second straight day on Thursday, Nov. 2. Our view: Get Devin Singletary ready as at least a 'what the heck' flex in Week 9. The Buccaneers will try to stuff the run, but Singletary can also be relied on as a relief-valve receiver out of the backfield for rookie QB CJ Stroud. We like Singeltary as an RB3/flex option with upside in Week 9. [Back to Top](#top) [] 5. BUF: Josh Allen gets in a full session on Thursday [Source: BuffaloBills.com](=) Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen (shoulder) was upgraded to full practice on Thursday, Nov. 2. Our view: That sounds about right. Allen is banged up, but he's tough and he's been playing with this minor shoulder issue for some time. The Bills have a huge game on Sunday, so get your popcorn ready for their Week 9 matchup against the Bengals. [Back to Top](#top) [] 6. ARI: Tony Jones promoted [Source: ESPN.com - Josh Weinfuss]( Arizona Cardinals RB Tony Jones Jr. was signed off the practice squad and added to the active roster on Thursday, Nov. 2. Our view: Cardinals RB Emari Demercado (toe) has missed some practice time this week, so the team may need Jones on game day. Keontay Ingram is there to get more work, and Jones may be getting into the mix behind him. [Back to Top](#top) The best things sent in the Footballguys Group Chat today: - 👻 Trick or Treat! CIN: Joe Mixon upgraded Thursday [Source: Bengals.com]() Cincinnati Bengals RB Joe Mixon (chest) fully participated in practice Thursday, Nov. 2. Our view: Great news for Mixon and this offense. [Back to Top](#top) [] 8. NYJ: Duane Brown designated to return [Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport](=) New York Jets OT Duane Brown (hip/shoulder) was designated to return to practice from the Reserve/Injured list Thursday, Nov. 2. Our view: This is good news for the Jets, and Brown can certainly help them up front. We'll see how he does in practice before predicting a return date for the left tackle. When Brown is out there, Mekhi Becton will shift back to right tackle for the Jets. [Back to Top](#top) [] 9. ATL: Drake London sidelined again on Thursday [Source: ESPN.com - Michael Rothstein]( Atlanta Falcons WR Drake London (groin) was not spotted at practice again on Thursday, Nov. 2. Our view: Not what we were hoping for on Thursday but let's see if he's able to work on Friday. [Back to Top](#top) [] 10. MIA: Raheem Mostert gets some work in Thursday [Source: The Miami Herald - Daniel Oyefusi](=) Miami Dolphins RB Raheem Mostert (ankle) was upgraded to limited practice on Thursday, Nov. 2. Our view: Mostert told reporters he's "ready to go" for the Dolphins Week 9 game against the Chiefs. We're hoping for a great back-and-forth in this contest between two of the league's best offenses. That makes Mostert an RB2 with upside for Fantasy GMs out there. [Back to Top](#top) That'll do it for today, Folks. Thanks for reading and thanks for being part of the Footballguys Family.
