SF: Brock Purdy listed as questionable [Source: 49ers.com]( San Francisco 49ers QB Brock Purdy (concussion) fully participated in practice Friday, Oct. 27, but is listed as questionable for Week 8. Our view: Purdy has cleared the NFL's concussion protocol, and he's ready to play in Week 8. After two losses in a row, we'll see if Purdy can get the 49ers back on track against the Bengals on Sunday. [Back to Top](#top) [] 2. DET: David Montgomery ruled out for Week 8 [Source: Raiders.com]() Detroit Lions RB David Montgomery (ribs) did not practice and was ruled out on the Week 8 injury report Saturday, Oct. 28. Our view: No David Montgomery again means we should see Jahmyr Gibbs again. Craig Reynolds will likely see some work as well. [Back to Top](#top) = = [] 3. LAC: Austin Ekeler should play [Source: Chargers.com]() Los Angeles Chargers RB Austin Ekeler (ankle) fully participated in practice Friday, Oct. 27, and is not on the injury report for Week 8. Our view: Ekeler is good to go for Sunday night against the Bears. We like him as an RB1 in PPR formats, and Ekeler should look more like himself than he did in Week 7 against the Chiefs (14 carries, 45 yards). [Back to Top](#top) [] 4. LAR: Activate RB Darrell Henderson [Source: Adam Schefter - ESPN]( The Los Angeles Rams activated RB Darrell Henderson from their practice squad for Sunday's game vs. the Dallas Cowboys. Our view: Myles Gaskin, Royce Freeman, and Henderson will work to establish a pecking order in the game against the Cowboys. We like Gaskin as a 'what the heck' flex, but Henderson is at that level too as we're not yet sure who comes out on top in terms of touches in Week 8. [Back to Top](#top) [] 5. LAC: Justin Herbert on track to play [Source: Chargers.com]() Los Angeles Chargers QB Justin Herbert (finger) fully participated in practice Friday, Oct. 27, and is not on the injury report for Week 8. Our view: No surprise here. Herbert's broken non-throwing middle finger is not going to keep him out of action. He completed 17-of-30 passes for 259 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions in the Chargers' 31-17, Week 7 loss to the Chiefs. We've got him in his usual QB1 status in Week 8 against the Bears. [Back to Top](#top) [] 6. SEA: Tyler Lockett expected to play in Week 8 [Source: The Seattle Times - Bob Condotta]( Seattle Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett (hamstring) is on track to play in the Week 8 game even though he is listed as questionable, according to head coach Pete Carroll. Our view: We saw more from rookie WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba last week with DK Metcalf banged up. Lockett is going to play, but Smith-Njigba should be more involved in the passing game going forward. Metcalf and Lockett are WR4 with upside plays and Smith-Njigba is a WR5/deep flex option. [Back to Top](#top) [] 7. GB: Aaron Jones should be available for Week 8 [Source: Sirius XM NFL Radio - Adam Caplan]( Green Bay Packers RB Aaron Jones (hamstring) was limited during practice Friday, Oct. 27, but is not on the injury report for Week 8. Our view: Jones will be out there against the Vikings in Week 8. Last week against the Broncos, Jones had eight rushes for 35 yards in the Packers' Week 7 loss, adding three catches for 22 yards. As he gets further away from this hamstring problem, Jones should begin producing at an expected rate. Fantasy GMs should have him as an RB2/flex option this week. [Back to Top](#top) That'll do it for today, Folks. Thanks for reading and thanks for being part of the Footballguys Family. We'll see you tomorrow with the Update. Flesch reading score measures how complex a text is. The lower the score, the more difficult the text is to read. The Flesch readability score uses the average length of your sentences (measured by the number of words) and the average number of syllables per word in an equation to calculate the reading ease. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables.
