It's a fun time of the year as we're almost to the World Series in Baseball, and Football is hitting its stride. Plus Basketball and Hockey too. Good times. We've got a few bits of NFL News for you from our Cecil Lammey. Let's Go. J Inside This Issue [] - [ARI: Zach Ertz lands on injured reserve](#article-1) - [LAR: PK Brett Maher let go](#article-2) - [BUF: Dawson Knox not at practice Tuesday](#article-3) - [TEN: TEN using two QBs](#article-4) - [NO: Chris Olave arrested](#article-5) - [TEN: Ryan Tannehill out of practice](#article-6) - [GB: GB still confident in Jordan Love](#article-7) - [MIA: Tua Tagovailoa not being pressured](#article-8) - [CLE: Pierre Strong the new lead back for now in Cleveland?](#article-9) [] 1. ARI: Zach Ertz lands on injured reserve [Source: NFL Network - Tom Pelissero]( Arizona Cardinals TE Zach Ertz (quad) was placed on the Reserve/Injured list with a quad strain on Tuesday, Oct. 24. Our view: That means Ertz is out of action for at least four games, but there's a chance he will return later in the year. Trey McBride will get a bump in snaps and targets now that Ertz has been shut down. Add him on the waiver wire if you need help with the position. [Back to Top](#top) [] 2. LAR: PK Brett Maher let go [Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter]() Los Angeles Rams PK Brett Maher was released Tuesday, Oct. 24. The Rams signed PK Lucas Havrisik off the practice squad of the Indianapolis Colts to replace Maher on the roster. Our view: Things move fast at this level. If Maher had been your guy, make sure to pick a new kicker. [Back to Top](#top) = = [] 3. BUF: Dawson Knox not at practice Tuesday [Source: BuffaloBills.com]() Buffalo Bills TE Dawson Knox (wrist) did not practice on Tuesday, Oct. 24. Our view: Knox is expected to be out of action until Week 14. He's getting wrist surgery and will be out of action. Expect more from rookie TE Dalton Kincaid going forward, and that can be good for Fantasy GMs and the Bills. [Back to Top](#top) [] 4. TEN: TEN using two QBs [Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter]() Tennessee Titans QBs Malik Willis and Will Levis are expected to play in Week 8 if QB Ryan Tannehill (ankle) is out. Our view: That's an interesting way to approach a contest, and one we rarely see in the NFL. Let's see if they decide to rotate per series or per play. From a fantasy perspective, this would be an avoid-all-options situation. We'd have to see one quarterback emerge before starting one of these Titans' quarterbacks - and only in start-2 QB leagues. NO: Chris Olave arrested [Source: NOLA.com - Luke Johnson and Chad Calder](=) New Orleans Saints WR Chris Olave was arrested Monday, Oct. 23, and charged with reckless operation of a motor vehicle. Police said he was allegedly driving 70 mph in a 35-mph zone and swerving between cars. Our view: We doubt the league will suspend Olave for this infraction. Olave should be out there and ready to go for Week 8 against the Colts. [Back to Top](#top) [] 6. TEN: Ryan Tannehill out of practice [Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter]() Tennessee Titans QB Ryan Tannehill (ankle) is out of practice Tuesday, Oct. 24. Our view: Titans QBs Malik Willis and Will Levis are expected to play in Week 8 if Tannehill (ankle) is out. We're not sure what that looks like, but if it goes the way of Tommy Maddox/Shawn Moore (who rotated series for the 1992 Broncos) then it will be awful. GB: GB still confident in Jordan Love [Source: ProFootballTalk.com - Josh Alper](=) Green Bay Packers QB Jordan Love still has the confidence of the team, according to head coach Matt LaFleur. 'It all works in unison and, so, the better everybody is around him, the better he's going to look,' LaFleur said. 'Our confidence in him is not wavering one bit. Certainly, I think, as the play-caller you put a lot of onus on yourself when things aren't going well. We'll continue to do that, but we've got to find a way to generate more points because when you're generating points, it's just a totally different narrative.' Our view: There's nothing like the dreaded 'vote of confidence' in the NFL. LaFleur has good concepts, but it seems like Love isn't picking them up. The Packers don't have much of a choice this year other than to start Love and go through his struggles. Rookie Sean Clifford, who is really rough as a passer, is the backup to Love. [Back to Top](#top) [] 8. MIA: Tua Tagovailoa not being pressured [Source: ProFootballReference.com]() Miami Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa is getting pressured on a league-low 12.8 percent of his drop-backs this season, according to Pro Football Reference. Our view: Mike McDaniel does a great job of getting the ball out quickly in the design of his offense. Teams can't get after Tagovailoa much as he will crush them with the passing attack. [Back to Top](#top) [] 9. CLE: Pierre Strong the new lead back for now in Cleveland? [Source: ESPN.com](=) Cleveland Browns RB Pierre Strong Jr. handled eight carries to Kareem Hunt's five and played 63 percent of the team's snaps to Hunt's 34 percent following Jerome Ford's ankle injury in Week 7 against the Indianapolis Colts. Our view: Fantasy GMs are excited to see Hunt with a larger role, but that may not happen. Hunt went into Week 7 banged up as well, so perhaps that's why Strong earned more snaps and more carries when Ford was hurt. [Back to Top](#top) That'll do it for today, Folks.
