You survived Byemageddon and this week, we have no teams on bye. Nice. Our Cecil Lammey has the News and Notes you need. Let's Go. J Inside This Issue [] - [ATL: Bijan Robinson update](#article-1) - [PHI: Jalen Hurts good to go](#article-2) - [CLE: Deshaun Watson will play next week](#article-3) - [CHI: Tyson Bagent to start Week 8](#article-4) - [CHI: Justin Fields doubtful for Week 8](#article-5) - [CAR: Brian Burns receiving interest](#article-6) - [NO: RB Williams was on a snap count](#article-7) - [CHI: Roschon Johnson could return in Week 8](#article-8) [] 1. ATL: Bijan Robinson update [Source: ESPN.com - Michael Rothstein]( Atlanta Falcons RB Bijan Robinson (headache) is expected to be 'fine' moving forward after being limited during the Week 7 win, according to sources Monday, Oct. 23. Our view: Robinson was not feeling like himself on Saturday night, and even medication to deal with the headaches didn't help much on Sunday. Fantasy GMs were curious as to why Robinson was barely on the field in Week 7. It sounds like the team is not concerned about Robinson's long-term health in dealing with these headaches. He should be good to go for their Week 8 matchup against the Titans. [Back to Top](#top) [] 2. PHI: Jalen Hurts good to go [Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport](=) Philadelphia Eagles QB Jalen Hurts (knee) is not expected to miss any time after he finished the Week 7 game against the Miami Dolphins wearing a knee brace, according to sources Monday, Oct. 23. Our view: Hurts wore a knee brace in the second half against the Dolphins and led the team to victory. He's fine, and this knee injury may not even limit him during the week of practice. [Back to Top](#top) = = [] 3. CLE: Deshaun Watson will play next week [Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport]() Cleveland Browns QB Deshaun Watson (head) was cleared of a concussion but did not return to the Week 7 game as a precaution. He will start next week. Our view: Watson's playing status was up in the air due to a shoulder injury that has been bothering him this year, but he did get out there to play only to get banged up with a concussion. PJ Walker came in and helped lead the Browns to a victory over the Colts. As the team prepares for a Week 8 contest against the Seahawks, Watson's status will be monitored during the week. [Back to Top](#top) [] 4. CHI: Tyson Bagent to start Week 8 [Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter]() Chicago Bears QB Tyson Bagent will start the Week 8 game against the Los Angeles Chargers as Justin Fields (thumb) is doubtful to play, according to sources Monday, Oct. 23. Our view: Bagent was smart and efficient (that's his game) in his first career start against the Raiders on Sunday. He won't take too many downfield shots, and Bagent should be safe with the football. Add in his ability to keep plays alive with his feet while keeping his eyes downfield, and you can see why the Bears are responding to his leadership. [Back to Top](#top) [] 5. CHI: Justin Fields doubtful for Week 8 [Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter]() Chicago Bears QB Justin Fields (thumb) is doubtful to play in Week 8 against the Los Angeles Chargers, according to sources Monday, Oct. 23. Our view: With the way Tyson Bagent played against the Raiders on Sunday, the Bears do not need to rush Fields back. Bears HC Matt Eberflus said Fields is "doubtful" for Week 8 against the Chargers. That means Bagent is in line for another start. Eberflus did say Fields is progressing well in his recovery, so perhaps a return in Week 9 is a possibility. [Back to Top](#top) The best things sent in the Footballguys Group Chat today: - 🧐 This is getting ridiculous. Howie Roseman and the Eagles [can't keep getting away with this.](=) - 🥶 The Titans are bringing back the throwbacks this week, [and they are clean.]() - 📢 Nick Sirianni has a message for everyone [who wants to ban the “tush push.”](=) - 🐬 In-season Hard Knocks is set. Pack your sunscreen [we are heading to South Beach.]() - 💪 Tyson Bagent’s Dad challenged the NFL Network crew to an arm wrestling challenge. And it went [exactly how you’d expect.]() [] 6. CAR: Brian Burns receiving interest [Source: PanthersWire - Anthony Rizzuti]( Carolina Panthers LB Brian Burns has been receiving trade interest, but the team is unlikely to move him unless they're blown away with an offer. Our view: Last year, the Panthers were reportedly offered two first-round picks by the Rams for Burns and didn't budge. In six games this year, Burns has 3.5 sacks for the Panthers. Getting a haul for him is not out of the realm of possibility, but if two firsts couldn't get it done we're not sure what would. Things have changed from last year to this year, so perhaps a smaller compensation package would be approved. [Back to Top](#top) [] 7. NO: RB Williams was on a snap count [Source: Erin Summers - NewOrleansSaints.com]() New Orleans Saints RB Jamaal Williams was on a snap count in his Week 7 return according to Erin Summers of NewOrleansSaints.com. Our view: Williams can do more, and Saints HC Dennis Allen should increase his workload as the season goes on. In Week 7, Williams had just five carries, but he could easily double that number in coming games. With RB Alvin Kamara leading the way on the ground, the Saints could use Williams as a goal-line back. [Back to Top](#top) [] 8. CHI: Roschon Johnson could return in Week 8 [Source: Chicago Tribune - Brad Biggs]() Chicago Bears RB Roschon Johnson (concussion) is making progress through the league's concussion protocol and is expected to practice ahead of the Week 8 matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers, according to source Monday, Oct. 23. Our view: D'Onta Foreman went off for the Bears in Week 7, so if Johnson returns in Week 8 he could see a slightly different role than he had before. From a fantasy perspective, Johnson is an RB3/flex option with upside. Let's see if he's cleared to practice this week. [Back to Top](#top) That'll do it for today, Folks.
