Plus - Bijan Robinson Dealing With Illness  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ 10/23/23 [Unsubscribe |]( [Read Online]( | [Join]( | [GO PRO](=) Howdy {NAME}, Another wild Sunday is mostly in the books as we head into Sunday night. They have helped me dominate my league to the point that I'm called the Evil Empire by my league mates" - Rick Himes @bigisland31 [] 1. ATL: Bijan Robinson dealing with illness [Source: AtlantaFalcons.com - Tori McElhaney]() Atlanta Falcons RB Bijan Robinson (illness) has not received much playing time in the Week 7 game because he is not feeling great, according to head coach Arthur Smith. Our view: This would have been good to know before the game. We'll have to chalk this one up to bad luck and the inherent uncertainty in all areas of human affairs. Cordarrelle Patterson was good enough in place of Robinson to deserve more touches going forward, but we'll put Robinson back in lineups next week vs. Tennessee and send him a get well card. [Back to Top](#top) [] 2. GB: Dillon leads backfield [Source: ESPN]() Packers running back AJ Dillon led the backfield with 15 carries for 61 yards and converted his two targets in two catches for 34 yards. Aaron Jones gained 35 yards on eight carries and caught three of five targets for 22 yards. Our view: Jones' three limited practices was the yellow flag on using him this week, and the Packers indeed gave Dillon the larger share of the backfield. Dillon actually ran with more physicality and looked deserving of a big share of the backfield, so the team isn't going to push Jones. We'll watch Jones practice status to see if he's going to be in better condition for next week's game against Minnesota. For now, Dillon is worth a pickup, and until Jones practices in full, he might be the better start. Hopefully you can avoid using either Packers back with no teams on bye next week. [Back to Top](#top) = = [] 3. ARI: Demercado leads backfield [Source:]() Arizona running back Emari Demercado led the backfield with 13 carries for 58 yards and caught four passes for 17 yards. Only one other Arizona back, Damien Williams, recorded a touch, which was one carry for two yards. Our view: The Cardinals weren't happy enough with Keaontay Ingram and Williams to go back to them this week, so they turned to the undrafted rookie. He wasn't a bust in PPR leagues, but he probably wasn't rostered anyway. This coaching staff and offense can't be trusted to give us a reliable back while James Conner and Kyler Murray are out, so don't chase this result on the waiver wire with the Ravens up next. [Back to Top](#top) [] 4. TB: Mike Evans reaches end zone [Source: ESPN.com]() Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Mike Evans caught six passes for 82 yards and one touchdown against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 7. He was targeted eight times during the game. Our view: Evans caught his touchdown on a longball vs. AJ Terrell on a go route. When he is posting good numbers in tough matchups, Evans is one of the most valuable wide receivers in fantasy football. Thursday, he'll face a Bills defense that just let Mac Jones get right. [Back to Top](#top) [] 5. LAR: Nacua's turn for a big game [Source: ESPN]() Puka Nacua caught eight balls for 154 yards on 12 targets against the Steelers, while Cooper Kupp caught only two for 29 yards and seven targets. Our view: Nacua made a catch at the sidelines with an incredible effort to get both feet in, so much so that Mike Tomlin challenged the play out of disbelief. Kupp had an uncharacteristic drop early and never really heated up against a Steelers defense that frustrated the Rams passing game. Since Kupp has returned, Nacua has shown that he should still be lineups, while Kupp had his first real dud in three weeks. The Rams offense will have a good test against the Cowboys next week. [Back to Top](#top) [] 6. CHI: DJ Moore catches eight passes [Source: ESPN.com]() Chicago Bears WR DJ Moore caught eight passes for 54 yards against the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 7. He was targeted nine times during the game. Our view: Moore isn't going to win your week for you with Tyson Bagent at quarterback, but he will at least give you baseline production in PPR leagues. He did enough to keep him in next week at the Chargers even if Justin Fields isn't ready to return from his thumb injury. [Back to Top](#top) [] 7. IND: Josh Downs goes over 100 yards [Source: ESPN]() Indianapolis Colts WR Josh Downs registered five receptions for a career-high 125 yards and a touchdown on six targets in Week 7 against the Cleveland Browns. Our view: Downs had a breakout game with Gardner Minshew keyed by a long touchdown when he was left alone by a blown coverage. He has established his ceiling now and should be in lineups against the Saints next week. What's especially encouraging is that the Colts only threw 23 times today and the Browns were considered a good pass defense coming into this one. [Back to Top](#top) [] 8. PIT: Pickens goes over 100 vs. Rams [Source: ESPN]() Steelers wide receiver George Pickens caught five balls for 107 yards, and led the team with eight targets in the win over the Rams. Our view: It's very encouraging that Pickens was a solid play with Diontae Johnson back and Kenny Pickett throwing only 25 times. The Steelers quarterback is making good on his proclamation that he'll look for Pickens when he is in single coverage. Pickens has become a reliable WR3/Flex play heading into a matchup against the Jaguars. [Back to Top](#top) [] 9. WAS: Sam Howell struggles in Week 7 [Source: ESPN]() Washington Commanders QB Sam Howell completed 22-of-42 passes for 249 yards, no touchdowns and one interception in Week 7 against the New York Giants, while rushing twice for 15 yards. Our view: This was Howell's second dud on the year, and one that makes us wonder if the Giants defense has turned from fantasy punchline to an avoid after they held down Josh Allen last week too. Next week they'll face Zach Wilson and Howell will try to bounce back against the Eagles. [Back to Top](#top) [] 10. BAL: Lamar Jackson carves up Detroit [Source: ESPN]() Baltimore Ravens QB Lamar Jackson completed 21-of-27 passes for 357 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions in Week 7 against the Detroit Lions, while adding nine runs for 36 yards and another score. Our view: The Todd Monken pass offense finally came together against a Lions defense that was one of the most improved in the league... until this game. Jackson had one of the biggest fantasy games of the year and he could be the most valuable quarterback in fantasy football in the second half of the year. Next week's matchup at Arizona is just as promising. [Back to Top](#top) [] 11. BUF: Three touchdowns for Josh Allen [Source: ESPN.com]() Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen went 27-for-41 for 265 yards, two touchdowns and one interception against the New England Patriots in Week 7. He also rushed for 17 yards and one touchdown on seven carries during the game. Our view: Allen got off to a cold start with an interception, but did enough to get the win if the defense had been able to hold up on the Patriots last drive. He scored on a quarterback sneak, but the his rushing production continues to lag well behind 2022, and the downfield passing game wasn't creating big plays in this one. He should be a strong start against the Bucs on Thursday. [Back to Top](#top) [] 12. DET: Jahmyr Gibbs back with touchdown [Source: ESPN]() Detroit Lions RB Jahmyr Gibbs (hamstring) rushed 11 times for 68 yards and a touchdown in his return to the lineup in Week 7 against the Baltimore Ravens. He also registered nine receptions for 58 yards on 10 targets. Our view: This is the silver lining from an otherwise miserable day for the Lions offense. Gibbs accomplished a lot against a prevent defense, but that shouldn't take much away from his fantasy success. We'll have to wait to gauge David Montgomery's outlook for a Week 8 Monday night game, but this performance should make you feel more confident that Gibbs is worth a spot in your lineup even if Montgomery returns to the lineup. [Back to Top](#top) [] 13. LAC: Joshua Palmer racks up 133 yards [Source: ESPN]() Los Angeles Chargers WR Joshua Palmer was good for five receptions and a team-best 133 yards on seven targets in Week 7 against the Kansas City Chiefs, his first 100-yard game of the season. Our view: The Chiefs strong defense held Chargers #1 Keenan Allen in check and contained Austin Ekeler, who tweaked his ankle during the game and might not be 100% yet. Palmer has some momentum heading into a matchup with the Bears, who appeared to have a vulnerable pass defense before facing the Justin Jefferson-less Vikings and Jimmy Garoppolo-less Raiders. Palmer is worth a pickup across formats if he's still out there. [Back to Top](#top) [] 14. BAL: Mark Andrews finds end zone twice [Source: ESPN]() Baltimore Ravens TE Mark Andrews registered four receptions for 63 yards and two touchdowns in Week 7 against the Detroit Lions, his second two-score game in the past four outings. Our view: Andrews celebrated National Tight End Day properly with a big day. [Back to Top](#top) [] 15. DEN: Williams triples backups workload [Source: ESPN]() The Broncos gave Javonte Williams 15 carries, which he gained 82 yards on, and he caught three of four targets for 14 yards. Jaleel McLaughlin got the second most touches in the backfield, with five carries for 45 yards and one catch for one yards. Samaje Perine also got two carries for 10 yards and caught all three of his targets for 31 yards. Our view: The Broncos backfield had the makings of a messy three-way committee coming into Week 7, but Williams 18 touches to 11 for Perine and McLaughlin combined, along with the Broncos actually winning, gives some promise of Williams being worth at least a flex start in most weeks. Next week against the Chiefs might not be the best time to give him a whirl in your lineup with no teams on bye. [Back to Top](#top) [] 16. LAR: Henderson scores, leads backfield [Source: ESPN]() Darrell Henderson had 18 carries for 61 yards and a score and caught one pass for five yards. Royce Freeman was the only other running back to have a touch, with 12 carries for 66 yards. Our view: Even though Henderson was the practice squad back coming into the week, his edge in experience probably led to his getting more work against the Steelers. Both are worth pickups in typical leagues with this backfield still productive despite two injuries, but Henderson is the priority. LVR: Seven receptions for Davante Adams [Source: ESPN.com]() Las Vegas Raiders WR Davante Adams caught seven passes for 57 yards against the Chicago Bears in Week 7. He was targeted 11 times during the game. Our view: Adams had a touchdown glance off of his fingertips or it could have been a better day. The Raiders offense can't create much of a downfield passing game even with Jimmy Garoppolo's return next week, but at least Adams is getting targets now. [Back to Top](#top) [] 18. NYG: Tyrod Taylor tosses two touchdowns [Source: ESPN]() New York Giants QB Tyrod Taylor completed 18-of-29 passes for 279 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions in Week 7 against the Washington Commanders, while running eight times for 25 yards. Our view: Daniel Jones should be back next week against the Jets, but the offense has undeniably been crisper with Taylor. Taylor remains one of the best backups in the league, and could be earning himself another shot to be a bridge quarterback in the future. He shouldn't be dropped in 2QB/Superflex until we hear that Jones is cleared for contact. [Back to Top](#top) [] 19. BUF: Eight receptions for Dalton Kincaid [Source: ESPN.com]() Buffalo Bills TE Dalton Kincaid caught eight passes for 75 yards against the New England Patriots in Week 7. He was targeted eight times during the game. Our view: Kincaid finally broke through, but it was on a day that the Bills passing game wasn't able to get much going downfield. This is a very encouraging result nonetheless, and one that should get him back on rosters in most redraft leagues if he was dropped while we waited for the rookie to get going. [Back to Top](#top) [] 20. CLE: Jerome Ford injures ankle in Week 7 [Source: Akron Beacon Journal - Chris Easterling]() Cleveland Browns RB Jerome Ford (ankle) rushed 11 times for 74 yards and a touchdown in Week 7 against the Indianapolis Colts, with the big play a 69-yard scamper. He also had two grabs for 20 yards on four targets, but he suffered an ankle injury and did not return. Our view: Ford has been a fantasy success even though the team signed Kareem Hunt right after the 2022 fifth round pick became the starter. This injury doesn't look like a long term issue that would threaten to put him on injured reserve, and it's possible he won't miss much time. [Back to Top](#top) [] 21. DET: Amon-Ra St. Brown hits century mark [Source: ESPN]() Detroit Lions WR Amon-Ra St. Brown racked up 13 receptions for 102 yards on a career-high 19 targets in Week 7 against the Baltimore Ravens. Our view: St. Brown racked up receptions against prevent defenses with the Lions down big in the second half. He has made it through some injury turbulence to resume delivering first round value in PPR leagues. [Back to Top](#top) [] 22. IND: Gardner Minshew goes over 300 yards [Source: ESPN]() Indianapolis Colts QB Gardner Minshew completed 15-of-23 passes for 305 yards, two touchdowns and one interception in Week 7 against the Cleveland Browns, while running three times for 29 yards and two scores. It wasn't all good, though, as he lost three fumbles. Our view: Minshew was a massive fantasy hit despite turning the ball over four times again this week. This was the same defense that frustrated the 49ers well-oiled machine last week, so sometimes you just have to chalk things up to variance in the NFL. Minshew will still be someone we consider when we need a waiver wire quarterback, although next week there are no teams on bye, so we probably won't need him against the Saints. [Back to Top](#top) [] 23. CHI: D'Onta Foreman accounts for three TDs [Source: ESPN.com]() Chicago Bears RB D'Onta Foreman rushed for 89 yards and two touchdowns on 16 carries against the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 7. He also caught three passes for 31 yards and one touchdown during the game. Our view: Foreman left the game in the third quarter, but more than made the day of fantasy teams before the unfortunate injury. It didn't appear to be serious, so Foreman is worth a hold while we wait to see when Roschon Johnson will clear concussion protocol and when Khalil Herbert will return from injured reserve, which won't be until Week 10 at the earliest. [Back to Top](#top) [] 24. CLE: Kareem Hunt scores pair of touchdowns [Source: ESPN]() Cleveland Browns RB Kareem Hunt rushed 10 times for 31 yards and two touchdowns in Week 7 against the Indianapolis Colts. He was targeted once in the pass game, but he did not have a catch. Our view: Hunt scored as a wildcat quarterback for his second score on a trick play in two weeks. Jerome Ford left with an ankle injury, so Hunt could be in line to start at Seattle next week and be in fantasy lineups, after he was the less healthy back of the two coming into this week. [Back to Top](#top) [] 25. IND: Jonathan Taylor scores his first TD of season [Source: ESPN]() Indianapolis Colts RB Jonathan Taylor rushed 18 times for a game-high 75 yards and his first touchdown of the season in Week 7 against the Cleveland Browns. He also added three receptions for 45 yards on four targets. Our view: This was the game that anyone who held or traded for Taylor was looking for, and Zack Moss still got the same number of carries as Taylor. This should put an end to questions about whether to play Taylor, even though he's still in a committee. [Back to Top](#top) [] 26. NYG: Darren Waller flirts with triple digits [Source: ESPN]() New York Giants TE Darren Waller ended up with seven receptions for a game-high 98 yards and a touchdown on eight targets in Week 7 against the Washington Commanders. Our view: Waller had his biggest game of the year, and his fantasy teams might be rooting for Daniel Jones to miss another game since it came with Tyrod Taylor at quarterback. The good news is Waller has stayed healthy to play every week, and he has momentum heading into a matchup with the Jets. [Back to Top](#top) [] 27. SEA: Rookie receivers catch a pair of scores [Source: ESPN]() Jaxon Smith-Njigba caught four balls for 63 yards and a score on seven targets and Jake Bob caught four balls for 61 yards and a score on five targets with DK Metcalf (hip/ribs) inactive for Week 7. Tyler Lockett only had four catches for 38 yards on five targets Our view: Bobo was the surprise here, with a highlight reel touchdown catch that featured an impossible toe tap. The Seahawks pass offense didn't miss a beat without Metcalf, so the team shouldn't rush him back next week against the Browns defense that just got lit up by Gardner Minshew. Lockett should still be in lineups as a WR3/Flex, but Smith-Njigba will be a pickup in most leagues, with Bobo deserving of a look in deep leagues. [Back to Top](#top) [] 28. PIT: Harris scores, adds three catches in win [Source: ESPN]() Pittsburgh running back Najee Harris rushed 14 times for 53 yards and a touchdown and caught three balls for 15 yards. Our view: This was an encouraging day for Harris's fantasy prospects, not just because of his score and involvement in the passing game, but because the Steelers offense looked as functional as it has all year. The Jaguars are a tough matchup vs. the run, but Harris should probably be in lineups as a flex play with no teams on bye. [Back to Top](#top) [] 29. ATL: Desmond Ridder finishes with 288 total yards [Source: ESPN.com]() Atlanta Falcons QB Desmond Ridder went 19-for-25 for 250 yards, zero touchdowns and zero interceptions against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 7. He also rushed for 38 yards and one touchdown on six carries during the game but did lose three fumbles. Our view: Ridder lost one fumble at the goal line on what could have been his second rushing score on the day. The Falcons did win and they are in first place, but turnovers were specifically mentioned as something that has to be improved last week, so Ridder's job isn't exactly safe even though he should start at Tennessee next week. Keep Taylor Heinicke on waiver wire speed dial in 2QB/Superflex leagues. [Back to Top](#top) [] 30. KC: Kelce records eight catches in first half on way to dominant game [Source: ESPN]() Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce racked up 12 catches for 179 yards and a score on 13 targets. Our view: Kelce took over the game from the get-go, and the Chargers had no answer for him. His touchdown came in a crowd and he appears to be back to his best self after missing Week 1 and posting mostly short receptions in September. It looks like he'll be worth the first round pick he cost after all. The Broncos are next up after Kelce posted a 9-124 line on them in Week 6. [Back to Top](#top) That'll do it for today, Folks.
