SF: Christian McCaffrey suffers injury [Source: NBC Sports Bay Area - Matt Maiocco]() San Francisco 49ers RB Christian McCaffrey (oblique) suffered an oblique injury during the Week 6 game and is considered questionable to return. Our view: McCaffrey did not return. Elijah Mitchell was healthy enough to be active for this one, but Jordan Mason got more touches, and got the touches down the stretch with the 49ers trying to come back late. Mason is probably the better pickup, but Mitchell should also be added in deep leagues with the injury seal broken for fantasy football's #1 running back. [Back to Top](#top) [] 2. LAR: Williams runs for 158 yards and one touchdown [Source:]() Los Angeles Rams running back Kyren Williams ran for 158 yards and one touchdown on 20 carries. Our view: Williams was bottled up in last week's loss to Philadelphia, but he ran free against the suspect Cardinals run defense. Ken Walker III will get to take aim at Arizona next week, while Williams will face a rested Steelers defense coming off of their bye. [Back to Top](#top) = = [] 3. NYJ: Hall catches five balls, scores on the ground [Source:]() Jets running back Breece Hall caught all five targets for 54 yards and scored once on the ground while gaining 39 yards on 12 carries in the 20-14 win over Philadelphia. Our view: Just in case you thought it was simply facing the Broncos that reignited Hall's fantasy stock, this result should make you feel comfortable playing him no matter the matchup. Dalvin Cook only touched the ball four times as the Jets have made it clear who their lead back is. Hall will get to rest during the bye and get ready to serve as a fantasy force as the weather gets colder. [Back to Top](#top) [] 4. WAS: Three touchdowns for Sam Howell [Source: ESPN.com]() Washington Commanders QB Sam Howell went 14-for-23 for 151 yards and three touchdowns against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 6. Our view: Howell was hot early and then didn't need to carry the offense because Washington was nursing a big lead. He has proven himself as a fantasy QB1 who can come through no matter the game script. He'll face the pushover Giants defense next week. [Back to Top](#top) [] 5. IND: Anthony Richardson could undergo season-ending surgery [Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport]( Indianapolis Colts QB Anthony Richardson (shoulder) is seriously considering undergoing season-ending shoulder surgery, according to multiple sources. Our view: Richardson isn't an essential hold on this news. If you need to drop him to pick up some help for today, don't hesitate. If Richardson is out for the year, that could actually be good news for Jonathan Taylor, Michael Pittman and Josh Downs, as Richardson would cut down on Taylor's rushing scores (although he would also make the defense play 11-on-11 football), and the pass offense will be more productive with Gardner Minshew. [Back to Top](#top) [] 6. CHI: Justin Fields to have MRI Monday [Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter]( Updating a previous report, Chicago Bears QB Justin Fields (hand) had X-rays on his right hand after the Week 6 game, and the X-rays were negative. Head coach Matt Eberflus said Sunday, Oct. 15, that Fields will have an MRI on Monday, Oct. 16. Our view: That's a good sign that at least the worst case scenario has been avoided, but throwing hand injuries can be tricky. Fields would face the Raiders next week if he can go. Tyson Bagent wasn't bad for a UDFA rookie, but the team could turn to veteran Nathan Peterman if Fields can't play in Week 7. [Back to Top](#top) [] 7. BAL: Zay Flowers reaches end zone [Source: ESPN.com]() Baltimore Ravens WR Zay Flowers caught six passes for 50 yards and one touchdown against the Tennessee Titans in Week 6. He was targeted eight times during the game. Our view: Flowers has emerged as the only reliable Ravens fantasy wide receiver. He has leveled off as a solid WR3/Flex option. He'll have a high ceiling in a potential shootout vs. the Lions next week. [Back to Top](#top) [] 8. IND: Zack Moss reaches end zone [Source: ESPN.com]() Indianapolis Colts RB Zack Moss rushed for 21 yards and one touchdown on seven carries against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 6. He also caught six passes for 38 yards during the game. Our view: Moss is not going away, which is troubling if you have Jonathan Taylor. Taylor is more explosive, but Moss is giving max effort and continues to be effective on his touches. He's a what the heck flex going forward, but more consequential as an obstacle to Taylor hitting his ceiling value. [Back to Top](#top) [] 9. IND: Jonathan Taylor posts 65 total yards [Source: ESPN.com]() Indianapolis Colts RB Jonathan Taylor rushed for 19 yards on eight carries against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 6. He also caught five passes for 46 yards during the game. Our view: At least Taylor was involved enough as a receiver to salvage a viable fantasy game in PPR leagues. He was supposed to get more work this week, but this still looks like a 50-50 RBBC with Zack Moss. Taylor is only a what the heck flex against the Browns next week. [Back to Top](#top) [] 10. DET: David Montgomery leaves with rib injury [Source: LionsWire]( Detroit Lions RB David Montgomery (rib) left the Week 6 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the first half due to a rib injury. He is considered questionable to return. Our view: Craig Reynolds will replace him as the lead back. Hopefully Jahmyr Gibbs will be ready to play next week after sitting out two games with a hamstring injury. More of the offense will run through Jared Goff vs. Baltimore next week while this backfield is banged up. [Back to Top](#top) [] 11. NYJ: Garrett Wilson shrugs off injury scare, produces in win [Source: ES{M]() Garrett Wilson had to have medical attention after what looked like a non-contact leg injury, but re-entered the game and caught eight balls on 12 targets for 90 yards to help the team upset the Eagles. Our view: Wilson's fantasy value has been shaky since Zach Wilson became the quarterback, but it is trending up heading into their bye, and Aaron Rodgers is recovering from achilles surgery a lot faster than anyone expected. Wilson could be a valuable part of 2023 fantasy teams yet. [Back to Top](#top) [] 12. MIN: Jordan Addison scores touchdown [Source: ESPN]() Minnesota Vikings WR Jordan Addison posted three receptions for 28 yards and a touchdown on five targets in Week 6 against the Chicago Bears. Our view: There was some hope that Addison would become the primary target in the pass offense with Justin Jefferson out, but it wasn't to be today. The Bears secondary is a good matchup for this passing game, but the Vikings have shown that they will go conservative when they have a lead to protect. Addison at least scored, so he deserves some WR3/Flex consideration against the 49ers next week. [Back to Top](#top) [] 13. DET: Goff throws for 353, two scores in win [Source: ESPN]() Jared Goff completed 30-of-44 attempts for 353 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Lions to a 20-6 win at Tampa. Our view: With David Montgomery going down and Jahmyr Gibbs sidelined by a hamstring injury, the offense fell on Goff's shoulders. He leaned on Amon-Ra St. Brown, who had a huge 12 catches for 124 yards and a score, and Goff also hooked up with Jameson Williams for a 45-yard touchdown that hints at bigger things to come. Goff is a solid QB1 heading into a matchup at Baltimore. [Back to Top](#top) [] 14. IND: Michael Pittman surpasses 100-yard mark [Source: ESPN.com]() Indianapolis Colts WR Michael Pittman Jr. caught nine passes for 109 yards against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 6. He was targeted 14 times during the game. Our view: Pittman may end up being the only winner for fantasy from the Anthony Richardson injury. This offense will be a pass-first attack with Gardner Minshew, and Pittman is their clear #1. He's worth a WR3/Flex start against the Browns next week. [Back to Top](#top) [] 15. NE: Kendrick Bourne leads team with 10 catches [Source: ESPN]() Kendrick Bourne led the Patriots with 10 catches for 89 yards on 11 targets in the 21-17 loss to the Raiders Our view: Mac Jones remains the quarterback for now, and that could give Bourne a shot at being fantasy relevant against the Bills. The team was without Juju Smith-Schuster and they have turned away from tight ends Hunter Henry and Mike Gesicki in the passing game. Bourne might be worth carrying in PPR leagues if only because his short range game matches what the Patriots can actually do in the passing game. [Back to Top](#top) [] 16. TEN: Ryan Tannehill exits with ankle injury [Source: Nashville Post - John Glennon](=) Tennessee Titans QB Ryan Tannehill (ankle) sustained an apparent right ankle injury during the fourth quarter of Week 6's game versus the Baltimore Ravens. He was replaced by QB Malik Willis. Our view: Willis didn't look bad at first, but eventually was overwhelmed by the Ravens pass rush. The Titans have a bye next week, so they could use it to prepare second round pick Will Levis to start (assuming Tannehill can't go in two weeks) after Willis looked stumped behind a porous offensive line. CLE: Amari Cooper hits triple digits [Source: ESPN]() Cleveland Browns WR Amari Cooper picked up four receptions for a game-high 108 yards with a team-best eight targets in Week 6 against the San Francisco 49ers. It was his second 100-yard game of the season. Our view: Cooper putting up a 100-yard game with Walker was something of a fantasy miracle. He was able to get free downfield once and played a big part in the upset. He's earned more trust to be in lineups when Deshaun Watson comes back, perhaps next week at Indianapolis. [Back to Top](#top) [] 18. JAX: Two touchdowns for Travis Etienne [Source: ESPN.com]() Jacksonville Jaguars RB Travis Etienne rushed for 55 yards and two touchdowns on 18 carries against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 6. He also caught three passes for 28 yards during the game. Our view: Etienne was mostly held in check by the Colts run defense, but he scored on plays before and after a Gardner Minshew turnover, and that was enough to have a big fantasy game. He has been one of the most valuable picks of fantasy drafts heading into a Thursday night game at New Orleans. [Back to Top](#top) [] 19. SF: Brandon Aiyuk leads team in Week 6 [Source: ESPN]() San Francisco 49ers WR Brandon Aiyuk ended up with four grabs for a team-high 76 yards and 10 targets in Week 6 against the Cleveland Browns. Our view: Aiyuk made a big play to set up what should have been the game-winning field goal, but rookie Jake Moody missed from 41 yards. Deebo Samuel left this game with shoulder injury, so Aiyuk should be set up to dominate wide receiver targets against the Vikings next week. [Back to Top](#top) [] 20. SF: Jordan Mason gets into the end zone [Source: ESPN]() San Francisco 49ers RB Jordan Mason rushed five times for 27 yards and a touchdown in Week 6 against the Cleveland Browns, and he was not targeted in the pass game. Our view: Elijah Mitchell was active today, but Mason was on the field when the game was hanging in the balance, and Mason outplayed Mitchell. He should be the waiver wire pickup while we wait to hear if Christian McCaffrey will be able to face the Vikings next week after suffering an oblique injury and leaving the game. [Back to Top](#top) [] 21. ATL: Drake London surpasses 100-yard mark [Source: ESPN.com]() Atlanta Falcons WR Drake London caught nine passes for 125 yards against the Washington Commanders in Week 6. He was targeted 12 times during the game. Our view: London got a little banged up at the end of the game but stayed in. It was a great game script for him with the Falcons trailing throughout, but one that exposed his quarterback's limitations, so consider it a win-win for fantasy even though it was a loss for Atlanta. [Back to Top](#top) [] 22. CAR: Chuba Hubbard runs for 88 yards, score [Source: ESPN]() Carolina Panthers RB Chuba Hubbard rushed 19 times for a team-best 88 yards and a touchdown in Week 6 against the Miami Dolphins, while adding a 2-yard grab on his lone target. Our view: Hubbard scored early and was productive enough on his touches to be a solid RB2 play with Miles Sanders sitting. Sanders could be healthy enough to play after the bye, but Hubbard has shown that his upside as a starter is compelling enough to make him worth carrying through the bye in most, if not all leagues. [Back to Top](#top) [] 23. CLE: Kareem Hunt totals 71 scrimmage yards, TD [Source: ESPN]() Cleveland Browns RB Kareem Hunt rushed 12 times for 47 yards with a touchdown in Week 6 against the San Francisco 49ers, while adding three grabs for 24 yards on his three targets. Our view: Hunt scored on a trick play that set up to be a sneak from tight end Harrison Bryant, and looked better than he had in games earlier this year. He's not going to overtake Jerome Ford to be the lead back, but he has some what the heck flex value and Ford injury upside, enough to be worth carrying in typical leagues. [Back to Top](#top) [] 24. TEN: Derrick Henry rushes for 97 yards [Source: ESPN]() Tennessee Titans RB Derrick Henry rushed for 97 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 6. He also caught two passes for 16 yards during the game on two targets. Our view: Henry had a negative game script against a good opponent with the Titans down 18-3 at the half, and he still broke a long run and added a touchdown (the first rushing score the Ravens allowed this season) in the second half to post a solid RB1 fantasy stat line. Things could get rougher for this offense if they are going to be without Ryan Tannehill for any amount of time, but Henry reminded us today why we can't bench him. [Back to Top](#top) [] 25. BAL: Lamar Jackson close to 300 total yards [Source:]() Baltimore Ravens QB Lamar Jackson went 21-for-30 for 223 yards, one touchdown and one interception against the Tennessee Titans in Week 6. He also rushed for 62 yards on 13 carries during the game. Our view: Blame the Titans offense if you feel let down by Jackson's output vs. a vulnerable pass defense. The Ravens were not as aggressive in the second half while they nursed a big lead, and they felt comfortable setting for field goals. Jackson could be in a shootout with the Lions next week, but the Lions defense is also coming on, so it should be a good test. [Back to Top](#top) [] 26. SEA: Kenneth Walker finds end zone [Source: ESPN.com]() Seattle Seahawks RB Kenneth Walker III rushed for 62 yards and one touchdown on 19 carries against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 6. He also caught three passes for 27 yards during the game. Our view: Walker never really got free, but he ran with his usual intensity and continued to dominate touches in the backfield. He has leveled off as a solid RB1 play week in week out and he has been able to stay healthy despite getting hurt during training camp. [Back to Top](#top) [] 27. JAX: Trevor Lawrence plays well in Week 6 [Source: ESPN.com]() Jacksonville Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence went 20-for-30 for 181 yards, two touchdowns and one interception against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 6. He also rushed for 15 yards on three carries during the game. Our view: Lawrence came up small for fantasy because the Jaguars controlled this game and didn't have to open up the pass offense to beat the Colts. He'll turn around on play on Thursday in New Orleans and probably has a low ceiling again because of opponent quality. Don't give up on Lawrence, but he might not be your best option for Week 7. [Back to Top](#top) [] 28. WAS: Terry McLaurin plays well [Source: ESPN.com]() Washington Commanders WR Terry McLaurin caught six passes for 81 yards against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 6. He was targeted 11 times during the game. Our view: McLaurin had a tough matchup with shutdown corner AJ Terrell on the other side of the line of scrimmage, but he was very effective on early scoring drives to post a solid PPR game for fantasy teams. He'll be a great play against the suspect Giants defense next week. [Back to Top](#top) [] 29. CIN: Joe Burrow throws two touchdowns [Source: ESPN.com]() Cincinnati Bengals QB Joe Burrow went 24-for-35 for 185 yards, two touchdowns and one interception against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 6. Our view: Burrow started out hot, hitting six different receivers on the opening scoring drive and leading another scoring drives in the first half that got two more players involved, including fifth-round pick Andrei Iosivas's first NFL touchdown. [Back to Top](#top) [] 30. WAS: TD reception for Curtis Samuel [Source: ESPN.com]() Washington Commanders WR Curtis Samuel caught four passes for 42 yards and one touchdown against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 6. He was targeted four times during the game. Our view: Week after week, Samuel is more prominent in Sam Howell vision and more productive than Jahan Dotson. Dotson did get free deep, but he dropped the ball. Samuel continues to be a solid WR3/Flex play going into a great matchup with the Giants. [Back to Top](#top) [] 31. SF: Brock Purdy does little in Week 6 [Source: ESPN]() San Francisco 49ers QB Brock Purdy completed 12-of-27 passes for 125 yards, one touchdown and one interception in Week 6 against the Cleveland Browns, while adding seven rushing yards on three attempts. Our view: Purdy looked uncomfortable for the first time this year in a tribute to Jim Schwartz's defense. Deebo Samuel and Christian McCaffrey going out had something to do with that, but Purdy and the offense had little success after an opening drive that overwhelmed Cleveland. Purdy won't be a QB1 option next week against Minnesota if Samuel and McCaffrey are out. [Back to Top](#top) [] 32. ATL: Desmond Ridder throws two TD, three INTs [Source: ESPN.com]() Atlanta Falcons QB Desmond Ridder went 28-for-47 for 307 yards, two touchdowns and three interceptions against the Washington Commanders in Week 6. He also rushed for 18 yards on two carries during the game. Our view: Ridder had three chances to tie the game late and was unsuccessful with two of the drives ending on interceptions. He was productive because of the game script, but this game will again raise questions about how long the Falcons will stick with him with an experienced backup in Taylor Heinicke on the bench. We'll be paying close attention to what head coach Arthur Smith says about Ridder this week. [Back to Top](#top) That'll do it for today, Folks.
