Plus - Austin Ekeler, Mike Evans Good To Go For Week 6  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ 10/14/23 [Unsubscribe |]( [Read Online]( | [Join]( | [GO PRO](=) Howdy {NAME}, Welcome to the Weekend. CLE: Deshaun Watson ruled out [Source: The Chronicle-Telegram - Scott Petrak](=) Cleveland Browns QB Deshaun Watson (shoulder) was ruled out for the Week 6 game against the San Francisco 49ers, according to sources Friday, Oct. 13. Our view: P.J. Walker will get the start after fifth-round rookie Dorian Thompson-Robinson seemed overwhelmed in Week 4. Amari Cooper, Elijah Moore, and Jerome Ford all become riskier starts against the elite 49ers defense. [Back to Top](#top) [] 2. NYG: Daniel Jones ruled out for Week 6 [Source: ESPN.com - Jordan Raanan]() New York Giants QB Daniel Jones (neck) won't play against the Buffalo Bills in Week 6, according to sources Friday, Oct. 13. Our view: Tyrod Taylor will get the start against his old team. It doesn't change the outlook for the Giants passing game, which was already avoid. [Back to Top](#top) = = [] 3. JAX: Zay Jones out vs. Indy [Source: ProFootballTalk.com - Josh Alper]( Jacksonville Jaguars WR Zay Jones (knee) is not expected to play in Week 6 versus the Indianapolis Colts, according to head coach Doug Pederson on Friday, Oct. 13. Our view: Christian Kirk is an easier start this week with Jones out even though he was a dud against the Colts in the first matchup earlier this season. [Back to Top](#top) [] 4. LAC: Austin Ekeler a full participant [Source: NFLCommunications.com](=) Los Angeles Chargers RB Austin Ekeler (ankle) fully participated in practice Friday, Oct. 13. Our view: Another day of good news for Ekeler. [Back to Top](#top) [] 5. TB: Mike Evans good to go [Source: Tampa Bay Times - Rick Stroud]() Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Mike Evans (hamstring) was a full participant in practice Friday, Oct. 13, and is expected to play against the Detroit Lions in Week 6. Our view: Evans getting in a full practice is great news for his Week 6 outlook. He hadn't practiced this week, so it appeared that they were going to have to test his hamstring in practice today to see if he could play on Sunday, but now it appears that he was probably on track to play all along. This helps Baker Mayfield's outlook as a QB2/Superflex against an improving Lions defense. [Back to Top](#top) [] 6. CAR: Miles Sanders ruled out [Source: The Associated Press - Steve Reed](=) Carolina Panthers RB Miles Sanders (shoulder) did not participate in practice and was ruled out on the Week 6 injury report Friday, Oct. 13. Our view: Chuba Hubbard will get the start at Miami. Consider him a boom/bust RB2, but perhaps better cast as a what the heck flex this week. [Back to Top](#top) [] 7. KC: Justin Watson injures elbow [Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport]() Kansas City Chiefs WR Justin Watson (elbow) exited the Week 6 game against the Denver Broncos with an elbow injury and did not return. Our view: This could shake free a few more snaps and targets in the crowded Chiefs wide receiver room, perhaps pushing Rashee Rice to fantasy relevance, or maybe just sending more targets Travis Kelce's way. Watson had functioned as a downfield target, so Marquez Valdes-Scantling is the most likely candidate to get Watson's targets from a tactical perspective, but he hasn't been close to fantasy relevant and probably won't get there with an extra 1-3 targets a game. [Back to Top](#top) [] 8. CIN: Tee Higgins 50-50 for Week 6 [Source: Bengals.com]() Cincinnati Bengals WR Tee Higgins (ribs) was upgraded to a full practice on Friday, Oct. 13, but is listed as questionable for Week 6 versus the Seattle Seahawks. Our view: Higgins said he is going to have to play through the pain to be active, not just this week, but maybe for the rest of the season. The Seattle corners are long, fast and aggressive, so this might not be the best spot to play Higgins even with Joe Burrow looking like his old self last week. [Back to Top](#top) [] 9. CLE: David Njoku 50-50 for Week 6 [Source: The Cleveland Plain Dealer - Mary Kay Cabot]( Cleveland Browns TE David Njoku (face, hand) is listed as questionable for Week 6 versus the San Francisco 49ers. Our view: Njoku, like the rest of the Browns offense, has a very low ceiling against the 49ers with PJ Walker at quarterback. [Back to Top](#top) [] 10. DET: No practice for Jahmyr Gibbs [Source: MLive.com - Benjamin Raven](=) Detroit Lions RB Jahmyr Gibbs (hamstring) did not practice Friday, Oct. 13. Our view: Gibbs is out again this week. David Montgomery will lead the backfield with Craig Reynolds as the #2 back. MIA: Miami's Week 6 injury report [Source: MiamiDolphins.com]() Miami Dolphins OL Connor Williams (groin) did not practice all week and has been ruled out for Week 6 versus the Carolina Panthers. DB Nik Needham (Achilles) and RB Jeff Wilson Jr. (ribs, finger) were limited in practice all week and are listed as doubtful. FB Alec Ingold (foot), OG Rob Jones (knee) and LB Jaelan Phillips (oblique) were limited in practice on Friday, Oct. 13, and are listed as questionable. WR Braxton Berrios (knee) and OG Robert Hunt (knee) practiced in full on Friday and no longer appear on the injury report. Our view: Wilson being doubtful is a good sign that Salvon Ahmed will be the #2 back this week behind Raheem Mostert. He's a what the heck flex play in a game that could get out of hand by halftime. [Back to Top](#top) [] 12. CHI: Week 6 injury report for Chicago [Source: ChicagoBears.com](=) Chicago Bears RB Khalil Herbert (ankle), RB Travis Homer (hamstring), RB Roschon Johnson (concussion) and WR Equanimeous St. Brown (hamstring) did not practice all week and have been ruled out for Week 6 against the Minnesota Vikings. DB Terell Smith (ankle, illness) did not practice on Friday, Oct. 13, and has also been ruled out. S Eddie Jackson (foot) was limited in practice all week and is listed as questionable. OL Lucas Patrick (concussion) was upgraded to full practice on Friday but is also listed as questionable. DB Kyler Gordon (hand), TE Cole Kmet (hamstring), OL Doug Kramer (thumb) and CB Jaylon Johnson (hamstring) practiced in full on Friday and have been removed from the injury report. Our view: D'Onta Foreman will be the starter and Darrynton Evans the backup. Foreman actually has a good RB2/Flex outlook against the Vikings this week with Justin Fields reviving the offense and Evans more of a passing down back. [Back to Top](#top) [] 13. CLE: Jerome Ford should play in Week 6 [Source: ClevelandBrowns.com](=) Cleveland Browns RB Jerome Ford (knee) fully participated in practice Friday, Oct. 13, and is not on the injury report for Week 6. Our view: The Browns will be without QB Deshaun Watson and they'll likely be counting on their running game here. It's a tough defense so expectations should be tempered but it looks like Ford will get his chances. [Back to Top](#top) [] 14. DEN: Hamstring injury for Greg Dulcich [Source: Denver7 Sports - Troy Renck]( Denver Broncos TE Greg Dulcich (hamstring) suffered a right hamstring injury against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 6. Our view: Dulcich came off of injured reserve only to suffer the same injury that originally put him there. The Broncos will trade one or two wide receivers before the deadline, and Dulcich was set up to play a bigger role in the pass offense in the second half of the season, but now all of that is on hold. [Back to Top](#top) [] 15. BAL: Week 6 injury report for Baltimore [Source: BaltimoreRavens.com]() Baltimore Ravens LB Odafe Oweh (ankle) did not practice Friday, Oct. 13, and was ruled out on the final Week 6 injury report. RB Keaton Mitchell (shoulder) practiced in full and is listed as questionable. S Geno Stone (hamstring), WR Odell Beckham Jr. (ankle), LB Jadeveon Clowney (illness), CB Marlon Humphrey (foot), OT Patrick Mekari (illness, chest), and OT Morgan Moses (shoulder) practiced in full and carry no injury designations. Our view: Mitchell has speed and quickness to add to the Ravens backfield. The UDFA rookie should play soon, if not this week, and complicate a backfield that was already having trouble giving us a consistent fantasy play. [Back to Top](#top) [] 16. DET: Sam LaPorta back at work on Friday [Source: DetroitLions.com - Tim Twentyman](=) Detroit Lions TE Sam LaPorta (calf) was spotted on the field during the portion of practice open to the media on Friday, Oct. 13. Our view: LaPorta said he expects to play. Check back on Sunday morning, but know that this is a late game start time for the Lions even though the game is in Tampa, so there is always the possibility of a setback in warmups after the early games kick off. Still, the best move is have LaPorta in unless you have another tight end that is close to his caliber. [Back to Top](#top) [] 17. PHI: Philly defensive duo ruled out for Week 6 [Source: JAKIB Sports - Derrick Gunn]( Philadelphia Eagles DT Jalen Carter (ankle) and CB Darius Slay (knee) have been ruled out for Week 6 versus the New York Jets. Our view: Garrett Wilson will get to dodge Slay, which helps his chances of a good game on Sunday even though Zach Wilson is his quarterback. [Back to Top](#top) [] 18. NYG: Darren Waller draws questionable tag vs. BUF [Source: Giants.com]() New York Giants TE Darren Waller (groin) was limited in practice for a second consecutive day on Friday, Oct. 13, and is listed as questionable for Week 6 against the Buffalo Bills. Our view: Waller said his missed practice earlier this week was a rest day, and we should probably expect him to play, but the game is on Sunday night, so if he is a scratch, then you only have Chargers and Cowboys tight ends to cover his spot in your lineup. Hopefully we'll learn more about this situation Sunday morning. [Back to Top](#top) [] 19. CHI: Khalil Herbert, Equanimeous St. Brown put on IR [Source: ESPN.com - Courtney Cronin]( Chicago Bears RB Khalil Herbert (ankle) and WR Equanimeous St. Brown (hamstring) were placed on the Reserve/Injured list on Friday, Oct. 13. QB Nathan Peterman was signed off the practice squad and added to the 53-man roster to fill one of the openings. Our view: The hits keep rolling for Chicago. [Back to Top](#top) [] 20. NYG: Saquon Barkley listed as questionable for Week 6 [Source: Giants.com]() New York Giants RB Saquon Barkley (ankle) was limited in practice all week and is listed as questionable for Week 6 versus the Buffalo Bills. Our view: Because he hasn't gotten in a full practice yet this week, we have to consider Barkley truly questionable. This is difficult because he plays in the Sunday night game against Buffalo, and we won't have options outside of the Chargers, Bills, and Cowboys to replace him in our lineups if he's inactive. We expect to learn more about his outlook on Sunday morning. [Back to Top](#top) That'll do it for today, Folks. Thanks for reading and thanks for being part of the Footballguys Family.
