Plus - Justin Jefferson And James Conner To Miss Time With Injuries  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ 10/11/23 [Unsubscribe |]( [Read Online]( | [Join]( | [GO PRO](=) Howdy {NAME}, And we're on to Week 6. MIN: Justin Jefferson out four games [Source: NFL Network - Tom Pelissero]( Minnesota Vikings WR Justin Jefferson (hamstring) is being placed on the Reserve/Injured list Tuesday, Oct. 10, and will miss at least four games. Our view: Fantasy GMs are reeling this week with all these injuries to stud players like Jefferson. His timetable is unknown and will be based on how he responds to treatment. Now, Vikings QB Kirk Cousins is a less attractive option for Fantasy GMs on a weekly basis. We'll see how the offense responds with guys like WR Jordan Addison, WR K.J. Osborn, and TE T.J. Hockenson getting more looks. [Back to Top](#top) [] 2. MIA: De'Von Achane week-to-week [Source: NFL Network - Tom Pelissero]( Miami Dolphins RB De'Von Achane (knee) is week-to-week with a knee injury and is likely to miss multiple weeks. It's not a season-ending injury, but the team is still gathering information. Our view: Achane could go on Injured Reserve in the near future, and that would cost him a minimum of four weeks. The Dolphins have Raheem Mostert as their starter, and Jeff Wilson is coming back from IR soon. We also like Chris Brooks, a Matt Waldman favorite, who could get some more opportunities in this backfield. Stay tuned. [Back to Top](#top) = = [] 3. ARI: James Conner out multiple weeks [Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter]() Arizona Cardinals RB James Conner (knee) is expected to miss multiple weeks with a knee injury and is a candidate for the Reserve/Injured list. Our view: Conner could miss a month or more as he deals with this knee injury. The Cardinals have a couple of options in undrafted rookie RB Emari Demercado and second-year RB Keaontay Ingram. After Conner went down in Week 5, Demercado had 45 yards and a touchdown. Ingram is talented, but he has a lingering neck injury and has been inactive for the last couple of weeks. Both backs are no-nonsense runners and decent receivers out of the backfield. If Ingram is healthy, they could split time in a committee while Conner is out. [Back to Top](#top) [] 4. NE: Mac Jones starting but not safe [Source: The Athletic - Jeff Howe]() New England Patriots QB Mac Jones is expected to start in Week 6, but sources say this is an important week of practice for him as the team evaluates every position. Our view: Jones has been awful as the Patriots' starter, but his backup Bailey Zappe hasn't been much better in relief duty. The Patriots take on the Raiders in Week 6, so they could be in for a bounce-back game which is what Jones needs to keep his job. Only Fantasy GMs in start-2QB/Superflex leagues should be monitoring this situation. [Back to Top](#top) [] 5. CLE: P.J. Walker in line to start in Week 6? [Source: Orange & Brown Report - Brad Stainbrook]( Cleveland Browns QB P.J. Walker will start for the Cleveland Browns in Week 6 against the San Francisco 49ers if Deshaun Watson (shoulder) cannot play, according to a source. Our view: The Browns started rookie QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson in Week 4 against the Ravens, and he struggled as most rookies would (DTR threw 3 INTs). Walker isn't a great solution either, but he's a veteran who has seven games of starting experience. He started five games for the Panthers just last season. [Back to Top](#top) [] 6. LAC: Austin Ekeler expects to play in Week 6 [Source: The Athletic - Daniel Popper](=) Los Angeles Chargers RB Austin Ekeler (ankle) told reporters there is a '99 percent' chance he will play in Week 6 against the Dallas Cowboys. Our view: Fingers crossed this can be true. With so many injuries in other places, it would be sweet to get Ekeler back on the field. [Back to Top](#top) [] 7. JAX: Zay Jones day-to-day [Source: Around The NFL]( Jacksonville Jaguars WR Zay Jones (knee) is considered day-to-day as of Tuesday, Oct. 10, according to a source. Our view: Jones has missed some time this year, but he was able to play in the Week 5 victory over the Bills. He played 38 snaps, catching 3 passes for 23 yards and one touchdown. If Jones can play on Sunday against the Colts, he's worth a 'what the heck' flex in super deep leagues. KC: Travis Kelce to practice Tuesday [Source: Around The NFL]( Kansas City Chiefs TE Travis Kelce (ankle) will participate in practice on Tuesday, Oct. 10, according to head coach Andy Reid. Our view: Kelce was listed as a 'DNP' on Monday's estimated practice report. Let's keep an eye on this situation as the Chiefs play the Broncos on Thursday night. If Kelce can't go, the Chiefs would turn to Noah Gray against a defense that gives it up against tight ends. Against the worst defense in the league, Gray would be worth a 'what the heck' start if Kelce is out of action. [Back to Top](#top) [] 9. TEN: Treylon Burks to begin running [Source: TennesseeTitans.com - Jim Wyatt]() Tennessee Titans WR Treylon Burks (knee) is expected to begin running this week, but head coach Mike Vrabel was mum on whether Burks will be available in Week 6. Our view: Burks hasn't played since Week 3, and we're not certain if he's going to be available when the Titans take on the Ravens in Week 6. For now, DeAndre Hopkins will continue to get most of everything when the Titans are passing the ball. [Back to Top](#top) [] 10. LAR: LA Rams ship Van Jefferson to Atlanta [Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport]() Los Angeles Rams WR Van Jefferson will reportedly be traded along with a 2025 seventh-round draft choice to the Atlanta Falcons for a 2025 sixth-round draft choice on Tuesday, Oct. 10. Our view: With the emergence of rookie WR Puka Nacua and the return of veteran superstar WR Cooper Kupp, the Rams could move on from Jefferson. We'll continue to see more from WR Tutu Atwell, and WR Ben Skowronek could get an uptick in snaps too. [Back to Top](#top) [] 11. MIA: Jake Funk joins Miami's practice squad [Source: ESPN.com - Jeremy Fowler]() Free-agent RB Jake Funk (Colts) was signed to the practice squad of the Miami Dolphins on Tuesday, Oct. 10. Our view: The Dolphins lost Darrynton Evans off their practice squad this week as he went back to the Bears. The Dolphins add more talent to the roster with Funk. He's got quickness and straight-line speed (of course the Dolphins add more speed), and he's used to the zone-blocking elements of Mike McDaniel from his days with the Rams (Sean McVay and McDaniel are both Mike Shanahan disciples). [Back to Top](#top) [] 12. ATL: Van Jefferson likely headed for Atlanta [Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport]() Los Angeles Rams WR Van Jefferson will reportedly be traded along with a 2025 seventh-round draft choice to the Atlanta Falcons for a 2025 sixth-round draft choice on Tuesday, Oct. 10. Our view: Jefferson now moves to a team with Drake London and Mack Hollins as the top two targets at the wide receiver position. We'll see how he works into the mix, and we're curious to see what kind of chemistry he can build with QB Desmond Ridder. A fresh start could be just what Jefferson needs. [Back to Top](#top) [] 13. IND: Indy takes a look at a few quarterbacks [Source: Around The NFL]( Free-agent QBs Holton Ahlers, Anthony A. Brown, Trace McSorley and Kellen Mond tried out for the Indianapolis Colts on Tuesday, Oct. 10. Our view: Anthony Richardson (shoulder) is going to miss some time with another injury, so Gardner Minshew will fill in as the team's starter. Sam Ehlinger is behind him, but the Colts need another passer on the roster or the practice squad. That's why they're taking a look at free-agent quarterbacks.
