MIN: Justin Jefferson hamstring issue [Source: ESPN.com - Kevin Seifert](=) Updating an earlier report, Minnesota Vikings WR Justin Jefferson (hamstring) was unable to return to the game against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, Oct. 8, and after the game head coach Kevin O'Connell indicated it was 'still very early' to project whether he'd miss any game action. Our view: Jefferson was held in check by the Chiefs' defense in Week 5, only catching three passes for 28 yards. He injured his hamstring in the fourth quarter, and now Fantasy GMs are playing the waiting game to learn more about the severity. Coming up for the 1-4 Vikings is a divisional game against the Bears in Week 6. [Back to Top](#top) [] 2. MIA: De'Von Achane has knee injury [Source: The Miami Herald - Barry Jackson]( Miami Dolphins RB De'Von Achane (knee) is being evaluated for a knee injury, per head coach Mike McDaniel on Monday, Oct. 9. Our view: Achane suffered a knee injury after a huge performance (151 yards) on Sunday. McDaniel said it is "to be determined" if Achane is at risk of missing this week's game against the Panthers. We'll hopefully have some clarity on the situation Tuesday. [Back to Top](#top) = = [] 3. IND: Anthony Richardson seeking second opinion [Source: ESPN.com - Jeremy Fowler](=) Updating an earlier report, Indianapolis Colts QB Anthony Richardson (shoulder) is seeking a second opinion from renowned shoulder specialist Dr. Keith Meister. He's expected to be out this week at least. Our view: Richardson is a dynamic quarterback with a ton of upside, but he plays with little regard for his personal safety. He's missed one game and gotten banged up in every other game (except one) this season. That's not a great sign for his durability as a rookie in 2023. Initially diagnosed with a Grade 3 sprain of the AC joint in his shoulder, Richardson could be sidelined for a month or more. [Back to Top](#top) [] 4. NYG: Optimism on Daniel Jones [Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport](=) New York Giants QB Daniel Jones (neck) is believed to have avoided a major neck injury, and his status for Week 6 will be determined after an MRI Monday, Oct. 9. Our view: Jones got beat up in Week 5 (Dolphins sacked him six times), and he's been under siege most of this season. Up next for the Giants is the Bills on Sunday Night Football in Week 6. We'll know more about his status as the week goes on. Tyrod Taylor could be in line to start for the Giants if Jones can't go. HOU: Tank Dell in protocol [Source: KPRC.com - Aaron Wilson]() Houston Texans WR Tank Dell (concussion) is in the league's concussion protocol, per sources Monday, Oct. 9. Our view: "Tank is in the protocol and we'll see how he progresses throughout the week," Head Coach DeMeco Ryans said Monday. "Hopefully he starts to feel better. Definitely hurts not having him out there. Tank is an explosive playmaker for us, but just really our thoughts are with Tank to make sure that he gets back healthy as soon as possible." Stay tuned this week to see how progresses. [Back to Top](#top) [] 6. BUF: Dalton Kincaid in protocol [Source: The Buffalo News - Jay Skurski](=) Buffalo Bills TE Dalton Kincaid (head) is going through the concussion protocol, according to head coach Sean McDermott. Our view: The Bills tight ends are banged up. We'll see how Kincaid progresses this week. [Back to Top](#top) [] 7. BUF: Wrist issue for Dawson Knox [Source: The Buffalo News - Jay Skurski](=) Buffalo Bills TE Dawson Knox (wrist) is dealing with a wrist injury, according to head coach Sean McDermott. Our view: With Dalton Kincaid in the concussion protocol, the Bills are suddenly thin at the TE position. We'll hopefully have clarity on Knox early this week. DAL: KaVontae Turpin injures ankle [Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport]() Dallas Cowboys WR KaVontae Turpin (ankle) suffered a high-ankle sprain Sunday, Oct. 8, and is expected to be out four to six weeks. Our view: Turpin scored a touchdown in the loss to the 49ers on Sunday, but now he's going to miss quite a bit of time. In addition to what he can do on offense, Turpin has the speed you want on special teams as a return man. We'll see what the Cowboys do to fill his reserve position on offense and his role as a kick returner on special teams. [Back to Top](#top) [] 9. CLE: No practice for Deshaun Watson [Source: NFL.com](=) Cleveland Browns QB Deshaun Watson (shoulder) did not participate in practice Monday, Oct. 9, and is considered day-to-day, according to head coach Kevin Stefanski. Our view: This situation feels like something to watch. The Browns were on bye for Week 5 after Watson missed Week 4. Stay tuned. [Back to Top](#top) [] 10. CHI: Darrynton Evans signed by Bears [Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter]() Miami Dolphins RB Darrynton Evans was signed off the practice squad to the Chicago Bears' active roster Monday, Oct. 9. Our view: The Bears had to make a move at the running back position after last week's win on Thursday Night Football over the Commanders. In that contest, Khalil Herbert (ankle), Roschon Johnson (concussion), and Travis Homer (hamstring) all got banged up. Evans knows the team, as he spent all of 2022 with the Bears, so he's an 'in case of emergency break glass' veteran back who could play if he needed to.
