Plus - Injuries To Tee Higgins, Mike Evans, Javonte Williams, Kenny Pickett  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ 10/02/23 [Unsubscribe |]( [Read Online]( | [Join]( | [GO PRO](=) Howdy {NAME}, Welcome in and pull up a chair. They have helped me dominate my league to the point that I'm called the Evil Empire by my league mates" - Rick Himes @bigisland31 [] 1. BUF: Five touchdowns for Josh Allen [Source: MLB.com]() Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen went 21-for-25 for 320 yards and four touchdowns against the Miami Dolphins in Week 4. He also rushed for 17 yards and one touchdown on four carries during the game. Our view: Allen was nearly flawless and throwing downfield a lot more than he did in the first three games. He is peaking (maybe too early for the second straight year) and should be thought of as the fantasy QB1 again heading into a matchup with Jacksonville. [Back to Top](#top) [] 2. TEN: Derrick Henry accounts for two TDs [Source: ESPN.com]() Tennessee Titans RB Derrick Henry rushed for 122 yards and one touchdown on 22 carries against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 4. He also threw a two-yard touchdown pass during the game. Our view: Henry didn't seem to be affected at all by his toe injury and broke away from the Bengals defense a few times while confusing them and becoming a passer at the goal line. His value has bounced back as the Titans head into a divisional showdown with the Colts on the road. [Back to Top](#top) = = [] 3. DEN: Jaleel McLaughlin total 104 yards, TD [Source: ESPN]() Denver Broncos RB Jaleel McLaughlin rushed seven times for 72 yards in Week 4 against the Chicago Bears, while adding three grabs for 32 yards and a touchdown on his three targets. Our view: McLaughlin could (and should) take over as the lead back with Javonte Williams not finishing the game due to a hip injury. The smaller, shiftier McLaughlin is doing well enough in this offense to be the lead back even after Williams is healthy. The UDFA out of Youngstown State will be one of the most vied for waiver wire pickups this week. [Back to Top](#top) [] 4. CIN: Tee Higgins may miss time [Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport]() Updating a previous report, Cincinnati Bengals WR Tee Higgins (rib) suffered a rib fracture during the Week 4 game and could miss some time, according to a source. Our view: Tyler Boyd could get more targets with Higgins hurting, but this pass offense isn't creating overachievers in fantasy leagues. This is bad news for Joe Burrow, who already has a hill to climb to matter in fantasy leagues again as he plays through a calf injury that is clearly limiting his mobility and ability to throw downfield. [Back to Top](#top) [] 5. TB: Tests coming for Mike Evans [Source: The Associated Press]() Updating a previous report, Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Mike Evans (hamstring) 'just tweaked' his hamstring during the Week 4 game against the New Orleans Saints, according to head coach Todd Bowles, but Bowles said the exact severity of the injury will be known after more tests. Our view: Fingers crossed here for Evans. Expect more clarity early in the week. [Back to Top](#top) [] 6. DEN: Javonte Williams out of game [Source: NFL.com]( Denver Broncos RB Javonte Williams (hip) suffered a hip injury during the Week 4 game and is considered questionable to return. Our view: Jaleel McLaughlin, not Samaje Perine has become the lead back after this injury. He should be a priority add on the waiver wire while we wait to see how severe this injury for Williams. [Back to Top](#top) [] 7. ATL: Drake London reaches end zone [Source: ESPN]() Atlanta Falcons WR Drake London caught three passes for 28 yards and a touchdown against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 4. He was targeted seven times during the game. Our view: London at least scored and he caught another pass in the end zone but was pushed out before he could get both feet down. Like the rest of the Falcons offense, he could get a bump in value if the Falcons give Taylor Heinicke a chance. [Back to Top](#top) [] 8. CLE: Jerome Ford totals 14 touches [Source: ESPN]() Cleveland Browns RB Jerome Ford rushed nine rushes for 26 yards in Week 4 against the Baltimore Ravens, while adding five grabs for 19 yards on six targets. Our view: Ford, like the rest of the Browns offense, struggled to move the ball, but his five catches helped in PPR leagues, and he should be better when Deshaun Watson is back. Don't drop the Browns lead back going into his bye. [Back to Top](#top) [] 9. PIT: Knee injury for Kenny Pickett [Source: NFL.com]( Pittsburgh Steelers QB Kenny Pickett (knee) suffered a knee injury during the Week 4 game and has been ruled out. Our view: The team is hoping for the best but we'll have more clarity Monday. Mitch Trubisky will be the guy if Pickett can't go. [Back to Top](#top) [] 10. BUF: Stefon Diggs catches three TDs [Source: ESPN.com]() Buffalo Bills WR Stefon Diggs caught six passes for 120 yards and three touchdowns against the Miami Dolphins in Week 4. He was targeted seven times during the game. Our view: Diggs has been one of the best picks of fantasy first rounds, and he and Josh Allen really hit their stride this week. He'll get to matchup with the Jaguars secondary next week. [Back to Top](#top) The best things sent in the Footballguys Group Chat today: - 😂 Slinky Dog, [you a savage for this.]( - 🍻 Now, this is a celebration. [Stone Cold Stefon Diggs.]( - 🙃 Nothing but pain [if you benched Justin Fields this week.]() - 😤 Derrick Henry might be the [most versatile player in the NFL.]() - 🦅 They’re built different in Philly, [even the kids.](=) [] 11. IND: Zack Moss productive in Week 4 [Source: ESPN.com]() Indianapolis Colts RB Zack Moss rushed for 70 yards on 18 carries against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 4. Our view: Moss, like the rest of the Colts offense, was contained early on, but started to warm up as the game unfolded. We'll see if he can get one more start next week against the Titans with Jonathan Taylor officially in his 21-day window to be activated from the PUP list. [Back to Top](#top) [] 12. TB: Baker Mayfield tosses three TDs [Source: ESPN.com]() Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Baker Mayfield completed 25 of his 32 passes for 246 yards, three touchdowns and an interception in a 26-9 win over the New Orleans Saints in Week 4. He added 31 rushing yards on eight carries. Our view: Mayfield continues to do what he's been doing making the most of his opportunities and getting the ball where it needs to be. [Back to Top](#top) [] 13. LAR: Two touchdowns for Kyren Williams [Source: ESPN.com]() Los Angeles Rams RB Kyren Williams rushed for 103 yards and two touchdowns on 25 carries against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 4. He also caught three passes for 24 yards during the game. Our view: Williams is getting a ton of volume (hopefully the Rams aren't wearing him out) and he has been very effective finishing drives even though he is an undersized back. He's looking like a fantasy RB1 heading into a matchup with the Eagles, but maybe his fantasy teams should be carrying Ronnie Rivers as an injury upside backup. [Back to Top](#top) [] 14. MIN: Two receptions for T.J. Hockenson [Source: ESPN]() Minnesota Vikings TE T.J. Hockenson was good for two receptions and 24 yards on three targets in Week 4 against the Carolina Panthers. Our view: Hockenson had his first dud of the season in this one, but should bounce back next week in a game against the Chiefs that should force the Vikings to throw the ball more than 19 times. [Back to Top](#top) [] 15. CHI: Cole Kmet scores pair of touchdowns [Source: ESPN]() Chicago Bears TE Cole Kmet ended up with seven grabs for 85 yards and two touchdowns on nine targets in Week 4 against the Denver Broncos, while posting one rushing attempt for one yard. Our view: As goes Justin Fields, so goes Cole Kmet. It's clear that Fields looks for Kmet when the play breaks down in the red zone. Kmet was Fields favorite end zone target last year, and that looks like it will carry over to this season. If Kmet was dropped, he'll be a priority pickup this week. [Back to Top](#top) [] 16. ATL: Bijan Robinson has solid performance [Source: ESPN]() Atlanta Falcons RB Bijan Robinson rushed for 105 yards on 14 carries against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 4. He also caught five passes for 32 yards during the game. Our view: Whatever is wrong with the Falcons offense, it's not Robinson's fault. He has delivered on his first half fantasy draft cost even though this offense isn't performing anywhere near where it could be with competent quarterback play. [Back to Top](#top) [] 17. BAL: Lamar Jackson totals four touchdowns [Source: ESPN]() Baltimore Ravens QB Lamar Jackson completed 15-of-19 passes for 186 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions in Week 4 against the Cleveland Browns, while running nine times for 27 yards and two more scores. Our view: Jackson and the Ravens offense got little going at first, but once a turnover set them up with a short field, everything came together. Jackson has been terrific finishing drives and he is getting more efficient in the Todd Monken passing game. The Steelers usually play Jackson tough, but he has to be in fantasy lineups next week. [Back to Top](#top) [] 18. CHI: Justin Fields totals four touchdowns [Source: ESPN]() Chicago Bears QB Justin Fields completed 28-of-35 passes for 335 yards, four touchdowns and an interception in Week 4 against the Chicago Bears, while rushing four times for 25 yards with one fumble lost. Our view: The Broncos defense lived down to their reputation as Fields was excellent as an improviser, including the red zone, but still had a letdown and failed to nurse a 21 point lead. His fantasy prospects are fully back in effect even though he wasn't used as a rusher by design very often again in this one. He'll be a strong QB1 against Washington next week. [Back to Top](#top) [] 19. JAX: Trevor Lawrence throws for 207 yards [Source: ESPN.com]() Jacksonville Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence went 23-for-30 for 207 yards and one touchdown against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 4. He also rushed for 42 yards on eight carries during the game. Our view: Lawrence didn't have a big game against the Falcons, but he did enough as a runner and limited mistakes in a game his team controlled to post an adequate fantasy line. He'll get left tackle Cam Robinson back from suspension next week, and two of his top four wide receivers were out for this one, so expect better output going forward. He does face a tough Bills defense next week. [Back to Top](#top) [] 20. BAL: Mark Andrews finds the end zone twice [Source: ESPN]() Baltimore Ravens TE Mark Andrews registered five receptions for a game-high 80 yards and two touchdowns on five targets in Week 4 against the Cleveland Browns. Our view: Andrews was back in his rightful place atop the Ravens passing game as he is looking more like his old self after a leg injury cost him Week 1 and slowed him in Weeks 2 and 3. Andrews should be a great play next week against the Steelers beleaguered pass defense. [Back to Top](#top) [] 21. LAR: Puka Nacua continues outstanding play [Source: ESPN.com]() Los Angeles Rams WR Puka Nacua caught nine passes for 163 yards and one touchdown against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 4. He was targeted 10 times during the game. Our view: Nacua's first NFL touchdown was a walk-off overtime winner. He isn't slowing down and we don't know exactly when Cooper Kupp will be back. Nacua heads into a matchup with the Eagles as one of the biggest stories of the season in fantasy and the NFL. [Back to Top](#top) [] 22. MIN: Kirk Cousins tosses pair of touchdowns [Source: ESPN]() Minnesota Vikings QB Kirk Cousins completed 12-of-19 passes for 139 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions in Week 4 against the Carolina Panthers. Our view: Cousins threw a 99-yard pick six in this game, but it was still a game the Vikings controlled in the second half, so his pass volume was low for the first time this year. His fantasy tear has slowed down for now, but he should throw a ton next week against a tough Chiefs defense. [Back to Top](#top) [] 23. CLE: Ugly debut for Dorian Thompson-Robinson [Source: ESPN]() Cleveland Browns QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson completed 19-of-36 passes for 121 yards, no touchdowns and three interceptions in Week 4 against the Baltimore Ravens in his first NFL start in place of the injured QB Deshaun Watson (shoulder). Our view: Thompson-Robinson looked overwhelmed and not ready for prime time in his surprise first NFL start. The Browns are going into a bye, so hopefully Watson will be ready to go in Week and Thompson-Robinson can go back to the waiver wire in redraft leagues. [Back to Top](#top) [] 24. LAR: Matthew Stafford surpasses 300-yard mark [Source: MLB.com]() Los Angeles Rams QB Matthew Stafford went 27-for-40 for 319 yards, one touchdown and one interception against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 4. He also rushed for 14 yards on two carries during the game. Our view: Stafford got a little banged up in this one, but led his team to the win in overtime. He should get Cooper Kupp back soon, so while Stafford hasn't been a strong fantasy play so far this year, his play has exceeded his productivity, and that productivity could catch up. [Back to Top](#top) [] 25. IND: Anthony Richardson accounts for three TDs [Source: ESPN.com]() Indianapolis Colts QB Anthony Richardson went 11-for-25 for 200 yards and two touchdowns against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 4. He also rushed for 56 yards and one touchdown on 10 carries during the game. Our view: Richardson actually finished the game, and he led a furious second half comeback that pushed the game to overtime. He looks like he'll be an elite fantasy quarterback right away. Next week vs. the Titans could be a bounceback game for the passing attack that was slow to get rolling in this one. [Back to Top](#top) [] 26. CLE: Myles Garrett in walking boot after Week 4 [Source: NFL.com]( Cleveland Browns DE Myles Garrett (foot) posted two total stops, including a solo tackles, a sack, a tackle for loss and three quarterback hits in Week 4 against the Baltimore Ravens. He was wearing a walking boot after the game, but said Sunday, Oct. 1, that he'll be ready to play in Week 6 after the team's upcoming bye week. Our view: Fingers crossed here Garrett is right and he's ready to go after the bye. [Back to Top](#top) [] 27. MIN: Alexander Mattison flirts with triple digits [Source: ESPN]() Minnesota Vikings RB Alexander Mattison rushed 17 times for 95 yards in Week 4 against the Carolina Panthers, while adding a 3-yard grab on his only target. Our view: Mattison has had two good games in a row after facing two tough rushing defenses to start the season. Cam Akers looked good behind Mattison, but this is his backfield. He could have some problems producing next week against the Chiefs, but should still be viewed as a fantasy RB2 in manageable matchups. [Back to Top](#top) That'll do it for today, Folks.
