Inside This Issue [] - [NYG: Saquon Barkley doubtful](#article-1) - [CLE: David Njoku now questionable](#article-2) - [NO: "Optmism" Derek Carr Could Play](#article-3) - [BAL: Justice Hill likely to play](#article-4) - [BAL: Melvin Gordon expected to be promoted](#article-5) - [MIA: Robbie Chosen promoted](#article-6) - [IND: KJ Hamler lands with Colts](#article-7) - [JAX: Jacob Harris elevated for Week 4](#article-8) - [WAS: Derrick Gore elevated](#article-9) [] 1. NYG: Saquon Barkley doubtful [Source: Giants.com](=) New York Giants RB Saquon Barkley (ankle) was limited in practice for the third straight day on Saturday, Sept. 30, and is listed as doubtful for Week 4. Our view: The ankle injury was first reported to be minor, but after missing two games (if he doesn't play on Monday) Barkley's injury is a bit more severe than originally thought. He's been limited in practice, so that means he could be getting closer to a return. Matt Breida will be the lead back for the Giants in Week 4 against the Seahawks. [Back to Top](#top) [] 2. CLE: David Njoku now questionable [Source: ClevelandBrowns.com](=) Cleveland Browns TE David Njoku (face, arm) was added to the injury report on Saturday, Sept. 30, after sustaining burns to his face and arm during a household accident. He's now listed as questionable. Our view: Keep your head up when it comes to pre-game reports about Njoku. Have other plans at the ready if the team decides he needs time to heal. [Back to Top](#top) = = [] 3. NO: "Optmism" Derek Carr Could Play [Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport]() New Orleans Saints QB Derek Carr has a chance to play Week 4 after he practiced on a limited basis Friday, according to sources. Our view: The Saints have a good matchup against Tampa Bay and the game kicks off at 1:00 PM ET. So keep an eye on the [early inactives]( if you're otherwise thin at QB. [Back to Top](#top) [] 4. BAL: Justice Hill likely to play [Source: ESPN.com - Jeremy Fowler]() Baltimore Ravens RB Justice Hill (toe) is expected to play in Week 4's game against the Cleveland Browns, according to multiple sources. Our view: Hill hasn't played since Week 2 against the Bengals, but it sounds like he could be back out there this week. Gus Edwards will get some work, and reports indicate Melvin Gordon will be called up from the practice squad. Good luck guessing which back will have the most fantasy value. Edwards is the safest, Hill has the most upside if he's healthy, and Gordon is...well, not what he used to be. [Back to Top](#top) [] 5. BAL: Melvin Gordon expected to be promoted [Source: ESPN.com - Jeremy Fowler]() The Baltimore Ravens are likely to call up RB Melvin Gordon from their practice squad for Week 4's game against the Cleveland Browns. Our view: Gus Edwards is the lead back for the Ravens, but he's mostly a flex play for Fantasy GMs. Justice Hill is set to play this week after missing last week's game with a turf toe injury. Gordon is not the player he once was and will be pulling third-string duty for the Ravens. [Back to Top](#top) [] 6. MIA: Robbie Chosen promoted [Source: MiamiDolphins.com](=) Miami Dolphins WR Robbie Chosen was promoted from the practice squad to the active roster on Saturday, Sept. 30. In addition, DE Chase Winovich was elevated from the practice squad for Week 4. Our view: Chosen was active last week for the Dolphins, scoring a touchdown on Broncos' CB Pat Surtain. The Dolphins won't score 70 points this week like they did against Denver, so Chosen stays on your bench. WR Jaylen Waddle is expected back this week too. [Back to Top](#top) [] 7. IND: KJ Hamler lands with Colts [Source: NFL Network - Tom Pelissero]( Free-agent WR KJ Hamler (Broncos) signed with the Indianapolis Colts' practice squad on Saturday, Sept. 30. Our view: Hamler is a speedster who can flat-out fly when healthy. He's rarely stayed healthy in his pro career with multiple serious injuries over the last few years. A second-round pick in the 2020 NFL draft, Hamler is looking for a fresh start with the Colts. [Back to Top](#top) [] 8. JAX: Jacob Harris elevated for Week 4 [Source: KPRC.com - Aaron Wilson]( The Jacksonville Jaguars elevated WR Jacob Harris from their practice squad from Week 4's game against the Atlanta Falcons. Our view: Zay Jones is missing his second straight game with a knee injury, and Jamal Agnews is a game-time decision in Week 4. Harris is a converted tight end/big-bodied wide receiver who we have had an appreciation for in crazy deep dynasty formats. [Back to Top](#top) [] 9. WAS: Derrick Gore elevated [Source: The Washington Post - Nicki Jhabvala](=) Washington Commanders RB Derrick Gore will be elevated from the practice squad for Week 4, according to a source on Saturday, Sept. 30. Our view: Rookie RB Chris Rodriguez has been ruled out due to an illness. That makes Gore the Commanders' no.3 back behind Brian Robinson and Antonio Gibson. [Back to Top](#top) That'll do it for today, Folks. Thanks for reading and thanks for being part of the Footballguys Family. We'll see you tomorrow with the Update.
