â [avatar] "Hands down the best fantasy football information available. They have helped me dominate my league to the point that I'm called the Evil Empire by my league mates" - Rick Himes @bigisland31 â [] 1. NYG: Saquon Barkley injured late in Week 2 [Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter]() New York Giants RB Saquon Barkley (ankle) was helped from the field late in the fourth quarter of the Week 2 game against the Arizona Cardinals, and it appeared he suffered an ankle injury after having his leg rolled up on while being tackled on a rushing attempt. He had the ankle taped up on the bench, but he was walking with a noticeable limp. Our view: The Giants play on Thursday night against the 49ers, so it seems very unlikely that we'll have Barkley in lineups in Week 3. Matt Breida is the backup, but the Giants also have rookie Eric Gray and and utility back Gary Brightwell. Breida is worth a pickup in deep leagues, but not a great start against San Francisco. [Back to Top](#top) [] 2. CIN: Joe Burrow aggravates injury [Source: ESPN.com](=) Cincinnati Bengals QB Joe Burrow went 27-for-41 for 222 yards, two touchdowns and one interception against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 2. Our view: Burrow finally at least put some points on the board, but it was a short passing struggle that did make some consistent incursions into Ravens territory in the second half. Still, this doesn't look like a dangerous passing game and the surprising Rams defense is up next. Burrow isn't even a sure thing for Week 3, as he said he aggravated his calf injury and is day-to-day. [Back to Top](#top)
â [] 3. TB: Mike Evans goes off in Week 2 [Source: ESPN](=) Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Mike Evans registered six receptions for a game-best 171 yards and a touchdown in Week 2 against the Chicago Bears, and he had a game-best 70-yard reception which set up another score. He was targeted eight times, tying the team high for the week. Our view: Evans had a 70-yard catch and run to get the Bucs offense going and reeled in a long score to help the Bucs and many fantasy teams to get to 2-0. He is looking like one of the biggest values in fantasy drafts as players were too quick to dismiss him as one of Baker Mayfield's top receivers after so many others struggled with him in the past. [Back to Top](#top) [] 4. GB: Jordan Love tosses three touchdowns [Source: ESPN](=) Green Bay Packers QB Jordan Love completed 14-of-25 passes for 151 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions in Week 2 against the Atlanta Falcons, while running twice for 23 yards. Our view: Love had a very similar performance to his Week 1 game, coming through in big moments even though the offense is clearly missing Christian Watson and Aaron Jones. He is facing a tough Saints defense next week, but should level off as a QB2/Superflex option with good execution in an offense he is clearly comfortable leading. [Back to Top](#top) [] 5. LVR: Davante Adams played well but evaluated for concussion [Source: ESPN.com](=) Las Vegas Raiders WR Davante Adams caught six passes for 84 yards and one touchdown against the Buffalo Bills in Week 2. He was targeted eight times during the game. Our view: Adams score and almost half of his yardage came on the opening drive. He isn't having a problem riffing with Jimmy Garoppolo, but this is going to be a basement-level offense and not supporting of the big outbursts we've seen from Adams in the past. He'll still be a solid play against the Steelers next week if he isn't in concussion protocol after reportedly being evaluated for a head injury postgame. [Back to Top](#top) [] 6. CHI: Darnell Mooney injured [Source: NFL.com]() Chicago Bears WR Darnell Mooney (knee) suffered a knee injury during the Week 2 game and is considered questionable to return. Our view: With Mooney's injury, Chase Claypool has gotten a shot at redemption today and responded with a touchdown. Claypool isn't worth a pickup in most leagues, but if he's playing well, it can help Justin Fields value and the Bears offense. [Back to Top](#top) [] 7. IND: Zack Moss solid in win [Source: ESPN.com](=) Indianapolis Colts RB Zack Moss rushed 18 times for 88 yards and a touchdown and caught four passes for 19 yards in a 31-20 win over the Houston Texans in Week 2. Our view: Moss was a little bit of light for the Colts backfield. Let's see if he can build on this. [Back to Top](#top) [] 8. BUF: Josh Allen throws three TDs [Source: ESPN.com](=) Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen went 31-for-37 for 274 yards and three touchdowns against the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 2. Our view: Allen was very effective in the short passing game, but the team was faithful about giving the rushing opportunities in the goal to go offense to the running backs, and he didn't have scramble to get tough gains against a soft Raiders defense. This was a successful fantasy day, but it's fair to wonder if Allen is going to pay off on the expensive draft price. At least he gets the Commanders defense next week. [Back to Top](#top) [] 9. GB: Pair of scores for Jayden Reed [Source: ESPN](=) Green Bay Packers WR Jayden Reed was good for four grabs, 37 yards and his first two-touchdown game in the NFL in Week 2 against the Atlanta Falcons. He was targeted a game-high eight times. Our view: Reed scored twice and the team trusted the second round rookie enough to call his number in the red zone. If Christian Watson is back next week, Reed won't be a great start in a low volume pass offense, but this is promising for his dynasty value and we'll look at him as a waiver wire pickup if Watson isn't practicing next week. [Back to Top](#top) [] 10. CIN: Two touchdowns for Tee Higgins [Source: ESPN.com](=) Cincinnati Bengals WR Tee Higgins caught eight passes for 89 yards and two touchdowns against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 2. He was targeted 12 times during the game. Our view: Higgins boxed out in the end zone and won in the short passing game for Joe Burrow to put up a big game after posting a goose egg on eight targets in Week 1. The day is still worrisome for Higgins as his quarterback said he aggravated his calf injury and the Bengals have one of the worst backup quarterback situations in the league. [Back to Top](#top) [] 11. LAC: Two touchdowns for Keenan Allen [Source: ESPN.com](=) Los Angeles Chargers WR Keenan Allen caught eight passes for 111 yards and two touchdowns against the Tennessee Titans in Week 2. He was targeted 10 times during the game. Our view: Allen is looking like one of the best picks in the third round of fantasy drafts. He was making plays downfield and also converted on scoring opportunities. He'll be a high floor WR1 play against the Vikings next week. [Back to Top](#top) [] 12. KC: Kadarius Toney totals six touches [Source: ESPN](=) Kansas City Chiefs WR Kadarius Toney posted five receptions for 35 yards on five touches in Week 2 against the Jacksonville Jaguars, while adding a rush for three yards. Our view: Toney looked electric with the ball in his hands, but the Chiefs pass offense spreads the ball around by design, so he's just a weekly what the heck flex with hopes of a big play. It could come next week against the Bears, so don't drop Toney at least in the hopes of a sell high moment. [Back to Top](#top) [] 13. BAL: Odell Beckham quiet before injury [Source: ESPN.com](=) Baltimore Ravens WR Odell Beckham Jr. (ankle) caught three passes for 29 yards against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 2. As previously reported, Beckham left the game because of an ankle injury. Our view: Stay tuned Monday to see an update on the ankle injury. [Back to Top](#top) [] 14. CHI: Justin Fields turns it over twice [Source: ESPN](=) Chicago Bears QB Justin Fields completed 16-of-29 passes for 211 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions in Week 2 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He also rushed four times for just three yards, although he did find the end zone with his feet, too. Our view: Fields got off to a good start on the opening drive with two big gains through the air to D.J. Moore and a rushing score, but the offense was stifled for the rest of the afternoon. Once again, he wasn't used as a runner by design, and it doesn't seem he or this pass offense has taken a step forward since last season despite the addition of Moore. He'll face the tough Chiefs defense next week. [Back to Top](#top) [] 15. DET: Thigh injury for David Montgomery [Source: DetroitLions.com]( Updating a previous report, Detroit Lions RB David Montgomery (thigh) suffered a thigh injury during the Week 2 game and is considered questionable to return. Our view: Montgomery was fighting through a tackle when the injury occurred. #12 overall pick Jahmyr Gibbs will get more touches with Montgomery's injury, but Craig Reynolds is also Montgomery's backup for the tough inside running to mix in with the undersized Gibbs. [Back to Top](#top) The best things sent in the Footballguys Group Chat today: - 𤯠How did he complete this pass? [Justin Herbert is from a different planet.](â

JAX: Christian Kirk hits triple digits [Source: ESPN](=) Jacksonville Jaguars WR Christian Kirk posted game highs with 11 receptions, 110 yards and 14 targets in Week 2 against the Kansas City Chiefs. Our view: The Jaguars told us Kirk would play a larger role this week, and it paid to listen to them. He'll be a volatile play week-to-week, but next week against the Texans, Kirk should definitely be in lineups. [Back to Top](#top) [] 17. LAR: Cam Akers will not play in Week 2 [Source: ProFootballTalk.com - Josh Alper]( Los Angeles Rams RB Cam Akers will be inactive for the Week 2 game because of a coach's decision and is being shopped to other teams, according to FOX Sports' Jay Glazer. Our view: Kyren Williams ended up being one of the best waiver pickups of Week 2. Ronnie Rivers is active over sixth-round pick Zach Evans and Royce Freeman was called up from the practice squad this weekend. [Back to Top](#top) [] 18. TB: Baker Mayfield goes over 300 yards [Source: ESPN](=) Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Baker Mayfield completed 26-of-34 passes for 317 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions in Week 2 against the Chicago Bears, while also rushing six times for 17 yards. Our view: Mayfield is much better cast as a plucky undersized quarterback trying to prove himself than as a #1 overall pick trying to justify his lofty status. His chemistry with Mike Evans has been the best we've seen with any outside receiver in his career, and Mayfield is playing the focus, fire, and competitiveness we saw in his initial successful stretch with Cleveland. He has value in superflex leagues and should be productive against the Eagles next week. [Back to Top](#top) [] 19. BUF: Dalton Kincaid catches five passes [Source: ESPN.com](=) Buffalo Bills TE Dalton Kincaid caught five passes for 43 yards against the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 2. He was targeted six times during the game. Our view: Hopes of Kincaid becoming a fantasy TE1 right away might have been a little too aspirational. Dawson Knox caught a score and was targeted in the end zone on another play, and Kincaid isn't breaking any plays... yet. He's a still a viable play against Washington next week, but fantasy owners might have to have some patience before this pick pays dividends. [Back to Top](#top) [] 20. TEN: Derrick Henry productive in Week 2 [Source: ESPN.com](=) Tennessee Titans RB Derrick Henry rushed for 80 yards and one touchdown on 25 carries against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 2. He also caught three passes for 15 yards during the game. Our view: Henry was held in check when the game hung in the balance late, but he scored got free a few times early, which was enough to be a solid fantasy game in a gut check win for his team. With the Titans as competitive as ever despite offensive line issues, Henry is looking like a value pick at his depressed ADP heading into a matchup against the Browns. [Back to Top](#top) [] 21. BAL: Lamar Jackson throws two touchdowns [Source: ESPN.com](=) Baltimore Ravens QB Lamar Jackson went 24-for-33 for 237 yards and two touchdowns against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 2. He also rushed for 54 yards on 12 carries during the game. Our view: Jackson was efficient in the short passing game and hit Zay Flowers on a deep ball. While he did lose Odell Beckham in this game, Nelson Agholor was a quality replacement and the pass offense didn't miss a beat. Expect an even bigger game from Jackson against the Colts pass defense that almost gave up 400 yards to CJ Stroud today. [Back to Top](#top) [] 22. KC: Travis Kelce debuts with a touchdown [Source: ESPN](=) Kansas City Chiefs TE Travis Kelce (knee) was able to play in Week 2 against the Jacksonville Jaguars, and he ended up with four catches for 26 yards and a touchdown on a team-best nine targets. Our view: Kelce was solid in his return and seemed welcomed by QB Patrick Mahomes. [Back to Top](#top) [] 23. LAC: Justin Herbert throws for 305 yards [Source: ESPN.com](=) Los Angeles Chargers QB Justin Herbert went 27-for-41 for 305 yards and two touchdowns against the Tennessee Titans in Week 2. Our view: Herbert did fine for fantasy, mostly due to good plays by Keenan Allen and Mike Williams on the other end of his passes, but this was expected against the suspect Titans pass defense, and he still failed to finish the game that his team had many chances to win. Herbert should be a strong play next week against Vikings, but Chargers fans have to wonder how this team just finds a way to lose no matter who is playing for them. [Back to Top](#top) [] 24. SEA: Tyler Lockett scores two touchdowns [Source: ESPN](=) Seattle Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett registered a team-high eight receptions for 59 yards and two touchdowns, including the game-winning score in overtime, in Week 2 against the Detroit Lions. Our view: Lockett and the Seahawks offense seemed more like the offense we expected last week. [Back to Top](#top) [] 25. TEN: DeAndre Hopkins catches four passes [Source: ESPN.com](=) Tennessee Titans WR DeAndre Hopkins caught four passes for 40 yards against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 2. He was targeted five times during the game. Our view: Hopkins wasn't 100%, so even though this was a disappointing stat line, it could have been worse. Hopefully, we see him healthy enough to get at least a limited practice in next week, but if he doesn't, Hopkins probably shouldn't be in fantasy lineups against the Browns next week. [Back to Top](#top) [] 26. TEN: Ryan Tannehill accounts for two TDs [Source: ESPN.com](=) Tennessee Titans QB Ryan Tannehill went 20-for-24 for 246 yards and one touchdown against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 2. He also rushed for 12 yards and one touchdown on one carry during the game. Our view: Tannehill righted the ship after a terrible Week 1 in New Orleans. The win over the Chargers should push back any timeline for him to be replaced, and now it's not hard to picture this team at 2-0 going into a matchup with Cleveland if a big call that wiped a defensive touchdown off of the board went their way in Week 1. Tannehill was about at his fantasy ceiling because of the rushing score, so he's still just depth in 2QB/Superflex leagues. [Back to Top](#top) [] 27. ATL: Tyler Allgeier gets 16 rush attempts [Source: ESPN](=) Atlanta Falcons RB Tyler Allgeier rushed 16 times for just 48 yards in Week 2 against the Green Bay Packers and he was not targeted in the pass game. Our view: That Allgeier got this much work with Bijan Robinson getting 19 carries and the Falcons trailing for part of this game is a good sign. He's a matchup RB2/Flex and certainly worth holding despite the shoddy showing today. He's a what the heck flex against the Lions next week. [Back to Top](#top) [] 28. BAL: Nelson Agholor leads team in receiving [Source: ESPN.com](=) Baltimore Ravens WR Nelson Agholor caught five passes for 63 yards and one touchdown against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 2. He was targeted six times during the game. Our view: Agholor looked like a seasoned but still spry veteran in relief of Odell Beckham. He should be picked up as a player who has natural chemistry with his quarterback. Agholor would be an upside WR3/Flex play against the Colts secondary next week if Beckham can't go. [Back to Top](#top) [] 29. IND: Anthony Richardson suffered concussion [Source: ESPN.com - Stephen Holder]( Indianapolis Colts QB Anthony Richardson (head) left the Week 2 game early and is being evaluated for a concussion. Our view: Richardson was off to a fantastic start before leaving the game with a concussion. He'll be evaluated further Monday. [Back to Top](#top) [] 30. LVR: Josh Jacobs more involved in pass game [Source: ESPN.com](=) Las Vegas Raiders RB Josh Jacobs caught five passes for 51 yards against the Buffalo Bills in Week 2. He finished with negative two yards on nine carries during the game. Our view: Jacobs at least was targeted frequently to salvage something for fantasy, but one of those targets turned into an interception when Matt Milano climbed over Jacobs to make a pick. The Raiders offense did enough to beat a sluggish Broncos team last week, but they don't appear to be good enough to support anything approaching Jacobs 2022 value. He's a volume RB2 with a low weekly floor and theoretically still a high ceiling as a clear lead back, but we need to see next week vs. Pittsburgh, or he won't be an automatic start going forward. [Back to Top](#top) [] 31. ATL: Bijan Robinson posts first 100-yard game [Source: ESPN](=) Atlanta Falcons RB Bijan Robinson rushed 19 times for 124 yards in Week 2 against the Green Bay Packers for his first 100-yard game in the NFL. He also added four receptions for 48 yards on five targets. Our view: Robinson moved ahead of Tyler Allgeier in the backfield pecking order this week and looked like he deserves to stay there. Spending a first round pick on him doesn't look like an overpay heading into a matchup with the Lions. [Back to Top](#top) That'll do it for today, Folks.
