They have helped me dominate my league to the point that I'm called the Evil Empire by my league mates" - Rick Himes @bigisland31 [] 1. LAC: Austin Ekeler ruled out [Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport](=) Los Angeles Chargers RB Austin Ekeler (ankle) was downgraded to out for Week 2 on Saturday, Sept. 16. Our view: Ekeler was trending this way when he missed Friday's practice. Now, Fantasy GMs will be turning to Joshua Kelley. In Week 1 against the Dolphins, Kelley had 16 carries for 91 yards and one touchdown. He looked good in Week 1, and Kelley is an RB2 with upside this week against the Titans. [Back to Top](#top) [] 2. CLE: Amari Cooper aggravates groin [Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport](=) Cleveland Browns WR Amari Cooper (groin) aggravated his groin during practice on Saturday, Sept. 16, and is listed as questionable for Week 2. Our view: Cooper is now questionable, so Fantasy GMs need to be ready in case he can't play against the Steelers in Week 2. The game is on Monday night, so you might be starting someone else who is playing on Sunday instead. Elijah Moore, David Njoku, and Donovan Peoples-Jones would do more for the Browns' offense if Cooper can't go. [Back to Top](#top) [] 3. HOU: Questionable tag for C.J. Stroud [Source: NFLCommunications.com]( Houston Texans QB C.J. Stroud (shoulder) was limited during practice Friday, Sept. 15, and is listed as questionable for Week 2. Our view: Stroud will be out there, but this shoulder injury is a concern. The rookie can get out and run if needed, but he needs to be cautious with taking contact on extended plays. [Back to Top](#top) [] 4. LAR: Cooper Kupp to return in Week 5? [Source: NFL.com]() Los Angeles Rams WR Cooper Kupp (hamstring) has a chance to return to the active roster in Week 5, but head coach Sean McVay said he is not ready to provide a timetable for Kupp. Our view: It's all about windows in fantasy football. The window for rookie WR Puka Nacua might go until Kupp returns. If that's week 5, then you have a few more games of production. If/when Kupp returns, we'll see how the targets are structured for guys like Nacua, Van Jefferson, and Tutu Atwell. [Back to Top](#top) [] 5. KC: Travis Kelce listed as questionable [Source: NFLCommunications.com]( Kansas City Chiefs TE Travis Kelce (knee) was limited during practice Friday, Sept. 15, and is listed as questionable for Week 2. Our view: Chiefs HC Andy Reid said Kelce (knee) will play in Week 2 against the Jaguars. He might get a limited number of snaps, but if Kelce is out there then Fantasy GMs need to start him as per usual. [Back to Top](#top) [] 6. LAR: Sean McVay expects Puka Nacua to play [Source: ESPN.com - Sarah Barshop](=) Los Angeles Rams WR Puka Nacua (oblique) is expected 'to be ready to go' for Week 2's game against the San Francisco 49ers, according to head coach Sean McVay. Our view: Nacua splashed onto the scene in Week 1, and he was a hot waiver wire addition. The oblique injury has cooled some of the hype around him. We like him as a flex play this week if he plays. [Back to Top](#top) [] 7. CAR: DJ Chark questionable [Source: Panthers.com]() Carolina Panthers WR DJ Chark Jr. (hamstring) practiced in full on Saturday, Sept. 16, but is listed as questionable for Week 2. Our view: Practicing in full on Saturday is a good sign for Chark's status. The Panthers are at home on Monday night against the Saints. Chark can still take the top off the defense, making him a 'what the heck' flex for Fantasy GMs in Week 2. [Back to Top](#top) [] 8. PIT: Diontae Johnson ruled out [Source: BrownsZone - Scott Petrak](=) Pittsburgh Steelers WR Diontae Johnson (hamstring) did not practice for the third straight day on Saturday, Sept. 16, and has been ruled out for Week 2. Our view: George Pickens has a hamstring injury, and his status for Week 2 is up in the air. That means guys like WR Allen Robinson, WR Calvin Austin, and TE Pat Freiermuth could be tasked with doing more against the Browns on Monday night. [Back to Top](#top) [] 9. PIT: Pat Freiermuth good to go [Source: BrownsZone - Scott Petrak](=) Pittsburgh Steelers TE Pat Freiermuth (chest) practiced in full for the second straight day on Saturday, Sept. 16, and carries no designation into Week 2. Our view: The Steelers did not look good against the 49ers in Week 1. They've got to get back on track in Week 2 against the Browns. With Freiermuth good to go, Fantasy GMs can consider him a TE2 with upside in Week 2. [Back to Top](#top) [] 10. DEN: Greg Dulcich to miss Week 2 [Source: NFLCommunications.com]( Denver Broncos TE Greg Dulcich (hamstring) did not participate in practice Friday, Sept. 15, and has been ruled out for Week 2. Our view: Zero surprise here. Dulcich is banged up...again...and that means the Broncos will lean more on TE Adam Trautman. In addition to Trautman, we might see more from guys like Chris Manhertz and perhaps even WR Lil Jordan Humphrey. [Back to Top](#top) [] 11. TEN: Tyjae Spears expected to play [Source: NFLCommunications.com]( Tennessee Titans RB Tyjae Spears (groin) fully participated in practice Friday, Sept. 15, and is not on the injury report for Week 2. Our view: We love Spears, and Fantasy GMs should be excited about his future in the league. We'll see him worked into the mix with RB Derrick Henry as the lead back. In PPR formats, the rookie Spears is a deep flex play. [Back to Top](#top) [] 12. TEN: Treylon Burks likely will play [Source: NFLCommunications.com]( Tennessee Titans WR Treylon Burks (non-injury) fully participated in practice Friday, Sept. 15, and is not on the injury report for Week 2. Our view: Burks will be out there, but his fantasy potential is held back by the play of QB Ryan Tannehill. We like Burks as a WR3/flex play in Week 2 against the Chargers. [Back to Top](#top) [] 13. DEN: Jerry Jeudy not on injury report [Source: NFLCommunications.com]( Denver Broncos WR Jerry Jeudy (hamstring) fully participated in practice Friday, Sept. 15, and is not on the injury report for Week 2. Our view: Jeudy will be out there in Week 2 against the Commanders. He's a favorite of HC Sean Payton, and Jeudy could be the no.1 target for a run-heavy Broncos' offense. That makes him a flex option for Fantasy GMs in Week 2. [Back to Top](#top) [] 14. CLE: Browns' final Week 2 injury report [Source: BrownsZone - Scott Petrak](=) Cleveland Browns DT Siaki Ika (foot) did not practice for the third straight day on Saturday, Sept. 16, but is listed as questionable for Week 2. In addition, WR Amari Cooper (groin) and S Juan Thornhill (calf) were limited and are listed as questionable, and OG Joel Bitonio (rest), DE Myles Garrett (rest), DT Shelby Harris (Achilles), DT Maurice Hurst (hamstring), OT Dawand Jones (wrist), LB Anthony Walker (rest) and OT Jedrick Wills (foot) all practiced in full and carry no designation. Our view: Fantasy GMs need a heads-up on Cooper here. He reaggravated his groin injury this week, and the Browns could be leaning on other players more this week against the Steelers. Cooper being banged up could mean more WR Elijah Moore, TE David Njoku, and WR Donovan Peoples-Jones in Week 2. [Back to Top](#top) [] 15. IND: Kylen Granson added to injury report [Source: FOX Sports - Ben Arthur]( Indianapolis Colts TE Kylen Granson (hamstring) was added to the injury report on Saturday, Sept. 16, and is now questionable for Week 2. In addition, TE Drew Ogletree (concussion) has cleared concussion protocol and carries no designation. Our view: Granson is an impressive player when healthy, but he seems to get dinged up more than you'd like. The Colts play against the Texans in Week 2, and guys like Mo Alie-Cox could be in line for more targets if Granson can't play. [Back to Top](#top) [] 16. PIT: George Pickens added to injury report [Source: BrownsZone - Scott Petrak](=) Pittsburgh Steelers WR George Pickens (hamstring) was added to the injury report and limited on Saturday, Sept. 16, but carries no designation into Week 2. Our view: The Steelers already have Diontae Johnson out with a hamstring injury in Week 2. Now, Pickens' status is up in the air. He's not questionable, so that's a good thing. However, Pickens might give it a go in pregame warmups to see if he's ready to play. Fantasy GMs need to have other options at the ready. Even if healthy, Pickens is nothing more than a WR3/flex in Week 2 against the Browns. [Back to Top](#top) That'll do it for today, Folks.
