â [] 1. PIT: Diontae Johnson day to day? [Source: ESPN - Brooke Pryor]() Pittsburgh Steelers WR Diontae Johnson (hamstring) said he's day-to-day with his hamstring injury and that there's no concrete timeline for his return Thursday, Sept. 14. Our view: Things change quickly around here. This news about Johnson being day-to-day conflicts with an earlier report stating he is expected to miss multiple weeks. We'll see if Johnson can get some work in on Friday (and mainly Saturday) before the Week 2 Monday night matchup against the Browns. [Back to Top](#top) [] 2. DAL: Brandin Cooks has sprained MCL [Source: Fort Worth Star-Telegram - Clarence E. Hill Jr.]( Dallas Cowboys WR Brandin Cooks (knee) is dealing with a sprained MCL, according to sources Thursday, Sept. 14. Our view: Well, that didn't take long. Cooks posted only two catches for 22 yards in the Week 1 blowout win over the Giants. Now, dealing with a sprain that could force him to the sidelines, the Cowboys will turn to guys like Michael Gallup and Jalen Tolbert. [Back to Top](#top)
â [] 3. GB: Aaron Jones a no-go on Thursday [Source: The Athletic - Matt Schneidman]( Green Bay Packers RB Aaron Jones (hamstring) was not spotted on the field at the start of practice on Thursday, Sept. 14. Our view: Things aren't trending in the right direction for Jones this week. That means the Packers may be featuring more of AJ Dillon in Week 2. If he gets the featured role, Dillon would be worth considering as an RB2 for Fantasy GMs out there. Let's see what Jones can do (or can't do) on Friday. [Back to Top](#top) [] 4. BAL: Mark Andrews listed as limited [Source: Sirius XM NFL Radio - Adam Caplan]() Baltimore Ravens TE Mark Andrews (quadriceps) was limited during practice Thursday, Sept. 14. Our view: They're making us sweat on this one. Let's hope he's able to work some on Friday and we should hopefully know more then. [Back to Top](#top) [] 5. CHI: Chase Claypool may sit out Week 2 [Source: ESPN.com - Courtney Cronin]( Chicago Bears WR Chase Claypool struggled in Week 1, and head coach Matt Eberflus did not rule out the possibility of making Claypool inactive for the Week 2 game. Our view: Claypool has the tools to be dominant, but it's not coming together for him outside of flashing with the Steelers as a rookie back in 2020. We'll see if he can get in gear and impress Eberflus and company. [Back to Top](#top) [] 6. IND: Indy talking with Leonard Fournette [Source: ESPN.com - Jeremy Fowler](=) Free-agent RB Leonard Fournette (Buccaneers) has been in touch with the Indianapolis Colts, according to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com. Our view: The Colts are checking around to see if they can find an upgrade at the running back position. Jonathan Taylor is still on the PUP list, and Deon Jackson struggled as their starter. Zack Moss (arm) should be on the field this week, and they've got Jake Funk to get some snaps too. Perhaps Fournette would fit what the team thinks they need. [Back to Top](#top) [] 7. HOU: Dameon Pierce likely to be more involved [Source: KPRC.com - Aaron Wilson]() Houston Texans RB Dameon Pierce finished with only 13 touches (11 carries and two catches) in Week 1 against the Baltimore Ravens, which is something offensive coordinator Bobby Slowik wants to change moving forward, according to comments he made Thursday, Sept. 14.'I wanted to stick with the run longer. (Pierce) should touch the ball more than he did. That's definitely something we want to do. That's our starting identity. We're here to run the ball,' Slowik said. Our view: Fantasy GMs were disappointed and upset with Pierce's usage in Week 1. With a rookie QB in CJ Stroud, it only makes sense to lean more on the rushing attack. Plus, Pierce can be used as an outlet receiver for Stroud. We'll see if Slowik calls more plays for Pierce in Week 2. MIA: Jaylen Waddle upgraded [Source: MiamiDolphins.com](=) Miami Dolphins WR Jaylen Waddle (oblique) fully participated in practice Thursday, Sept. 14. Our view: Great news for Waddle, QB Tua Tagovailoa and this offense. [Back to Top](#top) [] 9. GB: Christian Watson still sidelined [Source: The Athletic - Matt Schneidman]( Green Bay Packers Christian Watson (hamstring) was not spotted on the field at the start of practice on Thursday, Sept. 14. Our view: It could be another nice week for Romeo Doubs. Watson missed Week 1, and that led to more targets for Doubs in the season opener. Let's see if that happens again in Week 2. [Back to Top](#top) [] 10. NE: Pats not high on JuJu Smith-Schuster [Source: Boston Herald - Andrew Callahan]( New England Patriots WR JuJu Smith-Schuster is not among the best five pass-catchers on the team, according to multiple team sources. Our view: Keep an eye on guys like Demario Douglas and Kayshon Boutte in deeper leagues. Bill Belichick does not mess around, and Smith-Schuster may not be high on his priority list. We'll see if these young guys get more work like they did at the end of the Patriots' Week 1 contest. [Back to Top](#top) [] 11. MIA: Raheem Mostert back at work Thursday [Source: NFL Network - Cameron Wolfe](=) Miami Dolphins RB Raheem Mostert (knee) returned to practice on Thursday, Sept. 14. Our view: Mostert got some time off yesterday, and that just may be a Wednesday thing while he deals with this knee thing. He's an RB2/flex play for Fantasy GMs this week against the Patriots. [Back to Top](#top) [] 12. TEN: DeAndre Hopkins misses another practice [Source: Nashville Post - John Glennon]( Tennessee Titans WR DeAndre Hopkins (ankle) was not spotted at practice for a second straight day on Thursday, Sept. 14. Our view: That's two days in a row missed for Hopkins. Things aren't trending in the right direction for the veteran receiver. We'll see what Hopkins can do on Friday, and Fantasy GMs with Treylon Burks might be considering him more if "Nuke" can't go. [Back to Top](#top) [] 13. TEN: Treylon Burks takes part in practice Thursday [Source: Nashville Post - John Glennon]( Tennessee Titans WR Treylon Burks (personal) returned to practice on Thursday, Sept. 14. Our view: Burks could be in for a larger role if DeAndre Hopkins can't go. Hopkins is dealing with an ankle injury and has missed two practices (Wednesday, Thursday) so far this week.
