They have helped me dominate my league to the point that I'm called the Evil Empire by my league mates" - Rick Himes @bigisland31 [] 1. LAR: Setback for Cooper Kupp [Source: The Athletic - Jourdan Rodrigue]() Los Angeles Rams WR Cooper Kupp (hamstring) has suffered a setback in his recovery from a hamstring injury and is considered day-to-day, according to head coach Sean McVay. Our view: It's hard to justify taking Kupp in the first right now, and maybe even in the second. He is very iffy for Week 1, and McVay's comments made it sound like they are going to err on the side of caution when deciding when he'll return now. He could come back early in the season and look like himself without incident for the rest of the season, making taking him at a discount very smart, but there's a lot of risk of this being a lost season for him on a team that is rebuilding. [Back to Top](#top) [] 2. CIN: Joe Burrow limited Thursday [Source: Bengals.com - Geoff Hobson]() Cincinnati Bengals QB Joe Burrow (calf) was limited to seven-on-seven drills during practice Thursday, Aug. 31. Our view: Burrow should be on the field for the season opener against the Browns, but there is some talk that his mobility will be limited. He's not a slam dunk start in fantasy with this in mind, depending on the quality of your backup. [Back to Top](#top) [] 3. MIA: Tyreek Hill avoids suspension [Source: NFL.com]( Miami Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill will not receive a suspension for his off-field issues during the offseason, a source told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Our view: There was some speculation about this, but Rapoport's report should be considered definitive, since he works for a league outlet. [Back to Top](#top) [] 4. PIT: Conflicting Reports on RB roles [Source: Steelers.com - Dale Lolley]( Pittsburgh Steelers RBs Najee Harris and Jaylen Warren 'will have their roles,' but Dale Lolley of the team's website suggests the narrative that Warren will pass Harris on the depth chart at some point during the 2023 season is 'simply not true.' Lolley expects Harris to remain the 'No. 1,' while Lolley will be the third-down back. Our view: Many observers see Warren as a threat to Harris's supremacy in the Steelers backfield, and Dan Graziano of ESPN said Warren's role could increase "dramatically" as the year goes on. Still, there is a reason that fantasy players see this situation as a parallel to the Ezekiel Elliott/Tony Pollard backfield, where disparate investments in the players led the team to stick with the inferior option. Harris can still be a hit at a depressed ADP if the Steelers offense is humming and gets him over 250 carries and a lot of touchdown opportunities, but Warren can be a value add in the second half of your drafts. [Back to Top](#top) [] 5. MIA: Jeff Wilson eyeing Week 5? [Source: WSVN 7 News - Josh Moser](=) Miami Dolphins RB Jeff Wilson Jr. (rib, finger) is expected to be ready to be activated from the Reserve/Injured list in Week 5, according to his agent Drew Rosenhaus. Our view: This is a rosier picture than Mike McDaniel painted, and the truth could lie somewhere in between. Either way, Wilson isn't worth drafting and holding in typical leagues. [Back to Top](#top) [] 6. TB: Mike Evans contract talks ending [Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter](=) Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Mike Evans will cease contract extension talks Sept. 9. Our view: This is a non-story for fantasy, but we understand why that needs to be clarified in light of the Jonathan Taylor debacle. Evans is going to be a weekly boom/bust WR3/Flex with Baker Mayfield, slayer of wide receiver fantasy value, starting for the Bucs. [Back to Top](#top) [] 7. ARI: IR stint for Myjai Sanders [Source: AZCardinals.com - Darren Urban]() Arizona Cardinals LB Myjai Sanders (hand) was placed on the Reserve/Injured list on Thursday, Aug. 31. Free-agent OL Carter O'Donnell (Colts) was claimed off waivers to replace him on the roster. Our view: Sanders is considered one of the best edge rushers on the Cardinals roster. Expect Sam Howell and the Commanders offense to get off to a hot start in Week 1. [Back to Top](#top) [] 8. SEA: Jamal Adams won't be ready [Source: KJR Radio]() Seattle Seahawks S Jamal Adams (quadriceps) won't be pushed to return for the start of the season, according to head coach Pete Carroll. 'It's gonna be after the start of the season,' Carroll said. 'Whether it's a game or a couple of games, we just want him healthy and confident.' Our view: Adams isn't worth holding on redraft IDP teams in light of this news, which wasn't unexpected. The trade for him was one of the worst in recent memory, but the Seahawks are still on track because they traded away Russell Wilson before the bottom fell out of his value. [Back to Top](#top) [] 9. CIN: Chase Brown to have a role? [Source: ESPN.com - Dan Graziano]() Cincinnati Bengals RB Chase Brown has surprised the Bengals with his receiving ability, according to Dan Graziano of ESPN.com, and Graziano believes Brown could establish himself as the No. 2 back by the end of the year. Our view: Chris Evans is the #2 back right now and the Bengals back to draft late, but Brown could be a hot waiver wire pickup in any given week if he gets enough work to show his stuff and Joe Mixon continues to look like a back that is starting to decline. Keep Brown on your waiver wire watch list. [Back to Top](#top) [] 10. MIA: De'Von Achane expected to practice [Source: NFL.com]( Miami Dolphins RB De'Von Achane (shoulder) is expected to practice next week leading up to Week 1, according to head coach Mike McDaniel. Our view: Raheem Mostert should lead the backfield against the Chargers, but it's not clear how the work will be divvied up between Achane, Salvon Ahmed, who is nursing a neck injury, and UDFA Chris Brooks, who scored twice in the last preseason game after Ahmed left. This backfield will remain a moving target and situation to monitor throughout the season. [Back to Top](#top) [] 11. NE: Matt Corral finds a home in New England [Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport](=) Free-agent QB Matt Corral (Panthers) was claimed off waivers by the New England Patriots on Thursday, Aug. 31. Our view: Ironically, the Panthers gave the Patriots a third and fourth round pick for Corral, and Corral never played a down for them. The Patriots long term quarterback job is far from settled, so superflex dynasty players should keep tabs on Corral. [Back to Top](#top) That'll do it for today, Folks.
