IND: IND keeping Jonathan Taylor, will be on PUP list [Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter]() Indianapolis Colts RB Jonathan Taylor (ankle) will remain with the Colts after a trade was not made and will remain on the Reserve/Physically Unable to Perform list, according to sources. Our view: Taylor is not happy with the situation, so it's easy for the Colts to put him on the PUP where he will have to miss the first four games of the season. Colts' GM Chris Ballard said the team did not receive any trade offers they were happy with. We'll see if that changes before Taylor's expected return in Week 5. In the meantime, Zack Moss, Evan Hull, and Deon Jackson will work to establish a pecking order. [Back to Top](#top) [] 2. NYJ: Dalvin Cook practicing [Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter](=) New York Jets RB Dalvin Cook (shoulder) is practicing for the first time Tuesday, Aug. 29, and will be ready for Week 1. Our view: Cook has some time to ramp up for the season opener. The Jets will use him as their primary back, but second-year pro Breece Hall should get some action as well. Fantasy GMs are looking for Cook to produce as an RB1, which means most weeks he will be in your lineup provided he can stay healthy. The Jets are at home in what could be a 'statement' game against the Bills on Monday night in Week 1. [Back to Top](#top) [] 3. BAL: Mark Andrews on track for opener [Source: ESPN.com - Jamison Hensley](=) Baltimore Ravens TE Mark Andrews (undisclosed) should be ready for the start of the regular season even though he has missed some practices because of an undisclosed injury. Our view: This could be nothing to worry about, but Andrews isn't known for his durability. Isaiah Likely is a second-year player on the rise, and he's a tight end name to remember for the Ravens if Andrews ends up missing time at any point this year. [Back to Top](#top) [] 4. TEN: Treylon Burks back at work [Source: ESPN.com - Turron Davenport]( Tennessee Titans WR Treylon Burks (knee) returned to practice on Monday, Aug. 28. Our view: This puts Burks on track to play Week 1 vs. New Orleans. His ADP has fallen since suffering the injury a few weeks ago, but if Burks is 100%, it could end up being an unnecessary discount. It's still difficult to see this passing offense producing more than one overachiever. [Back to Top](#top) [] 5. PHI: Albert Okwuegbunam packing his bags for Philly [Source: CBSSports.com - Jonathan Jones]( Denver Broncos TE Albert Okwuegbunam was traded to the Philadelphia Eagles in exchange for an undisclosed return on Tuesday, Aug. 29. Our view: Okwuegbunam is not a great blocker, but he's a big-bodied receiver who can make plays. The Eagles are taking a chance on him, and it's another move with great possibilities from GM Howie Roseman. Okwuegbunam will work to establish himself on the roster, and the team is likely to use him more as a receiver than a blocker if/when he gets on the field. [Back to Top](#top) [] 6. DEN: Denver sends Albert Okwuegbunam to Philadelphia [Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter]() Denver Broncos TE Albert Okwuegbunam was traded along with a 2025 seventh round draft choice to the Philadelphia Eagles in exchange for 2025 sixth-round draft choice on Tuesday, Aug. 29. Our view: The Broncos showcased Okwuegbunam in the final preseason game, and he had over 100 yards receiving and a touchdown against the Rams. Broncos GM George Paton said they were happy with the four TEs on the roster (Adam Trautman, Greg Dulcich, Chris Manhertz, Nate Adkins). Denver will use a TEBC with Trautman as the starter and Dulcich getting a few high-value targets (red zone) here and there. [Back to Top](#top) [] 7. BAL: Melvin Gordon let go [Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter]() Baltimore Ravens RB Melvin Gordon was released Tuesday, Aug. 29, according to a source. Our view: The veteran back just isn't the player he used to be. With his ability, Gordon could get a look from another team but that opportunity may come after the start of the regular season. [Back to Top](#top) [] 8. JAX: Nathan Rourke let go [Source: NFL Network - Tom Pelissero]() Jacksonville Jaguars QB Nathan Rourke was waived Monday, Aug. 28, according to a source. Our view: We will never forget Rourke making one of the best plays we've ever seen on a football field, preseason, regular season, or any other season known to humans and thank him for his service. [Back to Top](#top) [] 9. NYG: Jamison Crowder released [Source: NFL Network - Mike Garafolo](=) New York Giants WR Jamison Crowder was released Tuesday, Aug. 29. Our view: With Wan'Dale Robinson surprisingly ready to be activated from the PUP list only nine months after suffering an ACL tear, there was no need for Crowder. He should get a call during the season when injuries start to decimate rosters. [Back to Top](#top) [] 10. BUF: Von Miller opening on PUP [Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport](=) Buffalo Bills LB Von Miller (knee) will begin the season on the Reserve/Physically Unable to Perform list and miss the first four games. Our view: This is not a surprise and you should not have expected early season contributions from Miller in IDP leagues. The Jets and Aaron Rodgers will get to dodge Miller in Week 1, and then the Raiders, Commanders, and Dolphins (at least) after that. The team signed Leonard Floyd in the offseason, so he and 2021 first round pick (and 2022 breakout defender) Gregory Rousseau will be the top edge rushers to open the season. NYG: Wan'Dale Robinson activated [Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport](=) New York Giants WR Wan'Dale Robinson (knee) was activated from the Physically Unable to Perform list Tuesday, Aug. 29. Our view: Robinson is well ahead of schedule after most had him projected to start the season on the PUP list because of a late November ACL tear. Parris Campbell should still get the slot snaps in Week 1, but with Robinson and Sterling Shepard ready to contribute and third-round Jalin Hyatt having a good summer, the team now has five wide NFL quality receivers in addition to their new #1 target, tight end Darren Waller. [Back to Top](#top) [] 12. TEN: Hassan Haskins placed on IR [Source: TennesseeTitans.com - Jim Wyatt]( Tennessee Titans RB Hassan Haskins (undisclosed) was placed on the Reserve/Injured list Monday, Aug. 28. Our view: Third-round pick Tyjae Spears has had a great summer and had already earned the #2 spot over Haskins. Julius Chestnut will now be the #3 going into the season. Haskins is also facing an aggravated assault charge that is set for trial later this week. [Back to Top](#top) [] 13. CLE: Jerome Ford back on the field [Source: The Cleveland Plain Dealer - Mary Kay Cabot]() Cleveland Browns RB Jerome Ford (hamstring) was spotted taking part in individual drills on Tuesday, Aug. 29. Our view: Ford is set to be the primary backup to Nick Chubb when healthy. The Browns traded for Pierre Strong, but he's more of a change-of-pace back than a player who could take on a full-time role. [Back to Top](#top) [] 14. BAL: Tyler Huntley likely to avoid IR [Source: NFL.com](=) Baltimore Ravens QB Tyler Huntley (hamstring) is not expected to start the regular season on the Reserve/Injured list, according to head coach John Harbaugh. Our view: What's not known yet is when he'll be healthy enough to back up Lamar Jackson. Josh Johnson is likely to be the third quarterback on the roster and could be the active backup for Week 1 against the Texans. [Back to Top](#top) [] 15. LVR: Damien Williams out in Las Vegas [Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport]( Las Vegas Raiders RB Damien Williams was released on Tuesday, Aug. 29. Our view: With starting RB Josh Jacobs back in the building, the team had to make some room. Williams has bounced around the league, but he's good enough as a runner and receiver out of the backfield to get a look (again) somewhere else.
