They have helped me dominate my league to the point that I'm called the Evil Empire by my league mates" - Rick Himes @bigisland31 [] 1. LVR: Josh Jacobs, Raiders agree to deal [Source: NFL Network - Tom Pelissero and Ian Rapoport]() The Las Vegas Raiders and RB Josh Jacobs have agreed to terms on a one-year deal worth up to $12 million, per sources on Saturday, Aug. 26. The base value of the deal is worth $11.8 million and includes $200,000 in incentives. Our view: This is a bit of a bump in pay for Jacobs who was set to make $10.1 million on the one-year franchise tag. Jacobs has been away from the team during training camp and the preseason. That means he'll have two weeks to get ready for a road game against the Broncos in Week 1. [Back to Top](#top) [] 2. TEN: No decision on QB2 yet [Source: TitansWire - Mike Moraitis]( The Tennessee Titans have yet to make a decision on who will be their backup quarterback between QBs Will Levis and Malik Willis, head coach Mike Vrabel said on Saturday, Aug. 26. Our view: Levis has been missing time with a thigh injury, and that may put the rookie behind the second-year quarterback in this competition. Willis has a rocket arm and is athletic, but his passing skill needs work. Levis is a good passer when not under duress, and he could develop into a future starter for the team. [Back to Top](#top) [] 3. IND: Josh Downs pushing to start? [Source: ESPN.com - Stephen Holder](=) Indianapolis Colts WR Josh Downs has 'consistently turned heads' during training camp, according to Stephen Holder of ESPN.com, and Holder believes Downs has 'surged ahead' of WR Isaiah McKenzie in the battle for the starting slot receiver role. Our view: The positive play coming from the rookie receiver has been one of the most consistent drumbeats this offseason. Downs was a star for North Carolina in college, and his game reminds some in the scouting community of Tyler Lockett (Seahawks). He's a dangerous player with elite acceleration. He can play the slot for the Colts with Michael Pittman and Alec Pierce on the outside. [Back to Top](#top) [] 4. TEN: Chig Okonkwo to return to practice [Source: PaulKuharsky.com - Paul Kuharsky]() Tennessee Titans TE Chigoziem Okonkwo (undisclosed) is expected to return to practice this week, head coach Mike Vrabel said on Saturday, Aug. 26. Our view: We love what Okonkwo brings to the field for the Titans. From a fantasy perspective, Okonkwo is a low-end TE1 or high-end TE2. If he finished this season in the top 10 at the position, we wouldn't be surprised. We'll learn more about his injury during the week of practice as the Titans prepare to travel to face the Saints in Week 1. [Back to Top](#top) [] 5. NFL: RB Tarik Cohen healthy [Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter]() Free-agent RB Tarik Cohen (Bears) has completely recovered from his Achilles tendon injury and is ready to start working out for teams. Our view: Cohen flashed as a reserve runner and special teams player for the Bears, but he hasn't been in a regular season game since 2020. An ACL injury cost him the entirety of the 2021 season, the Bears released him in 2022 and Cohen injured his Achilles' while training that year. Now he's healthy and looking for work. Perhaps some teams will show interest in the veteran change-of-pace back. [Back to Top](#top) [] 6. CLE: Jakeem Grant update [Source: ProFootballTalk.com - Myles Simmons]() Updating a previous report, Cleveland Browns WR Jakeem Grant (knee) was ruled out from the preseason Week 3 game on Saturday, Aug. 26, with an unspecified knee injury. Grant was carted off with an air cast on his knee. Our view: This doesn't look good for the veteran returner. He's coming back from the Achilles' injury that knocked him out last season. [Back to Top](#top) [] 7. GB: Romeo Doubs sits out finale [Source: ESPN.com - Rob Demovsky](=) Green Bay Packers WR Romeo Doubs (hamstring) did not play in the preseason Week 3 game on Saturday, Aug. 26, due to an unspecified hamstring injury. Our view: Doubs is working to be a favorite target of QB Jordan Love. We love his game, so we'll have to keep an eye on this hamstring injury. Doubs is going to be on most waiver wire speed dials out there, although in deeper drafts savvy Fantasy GMs are selecting Doubs as a 'lottery ticket' pick. [Back to Top](#top) [] 8. PHI: Tyree Jackson going to waivers [Source: NFL Network - Tom Pelissero]() Philadelphia Eagles TE Tyree Jackson is set to be waived, per source on Saturday, Aug. 26. Our view: A converted quarterback, we felt there might have been a Logan Thomas-like development to his game (as Thomas was also a college quarterback before converting into a quality tight end). That didn't happen with Jackson, and chances are getting slim that it ever happens. In crazy deep dynasty formats we'll continue to monitor his progress if he latches on with a new team (or if the Eagles bring him back). [Back to Top](#top) [] 9. ARI: Michael Wilson set for big role? [Source: ESPN.com - Josh Weinfuss](=) Arizona Cardinals WR Michael Wilson has been working with the first-team offense during training camp, and he is expected to be one of the team's 'top four receivers' in Week 1, according to Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com. Our view: Wilson was a favorite of our very own Cecil Lammey during the week of practice for the Senior Bowl earlier this year. He's got a nice size/speed combination and knows how to use his frame to box out smaller defenders. He's a trustworthy target, and we're not surprised he's impressed in Cardinals camp this summer. The Cardinals are not a team we're investing in, but Dynasty GMs should love Wilson if/when the Cardinals figure out their quarterback situation. [Back to Top](#top) That'll do it for today, Folks.
