IND: Jonathan Taylor has deadline for trade [Source: ESPN.com - Stephen Holder]() Indianapolis Colts RB Jonathan Taylor has been informed by the team that he has until Tuesday, Aug. 29, to find a suitable trade, according to a source. Six teams have shown interest in Taylor and two teams have made trade offers. Our view: The buzz about Taylor is growing strong now that he's officially been allowed to seek a trade. We don't know exactly what the Colts will settle for in return, but the price tag to add him via trade will be hefty. Then, the price tag to sign him to a new deal will also be hefty. Rumblings put the Miami Dolphins and Denver Broncos at the top of the list when it comes to teams who could have the most interest in Taylor. However, we're certain there are other teams lurking as well. [Back to Top](#top) [] 2. NYJ: Corey Davis 'stepping away' from football [Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter]() New York Jets WR Corey Davis announced he is 'stepping away' from football on Wednesday, Aug. 23. Our view: Davis is done with football, and the former top-5 pick is stepping away having never lived up to the hype. The Jets move forward with WR Allen Lazard stepping into the no.2 role opposite of Garrett Wilson. From a fantasy perspective, there's a lot of flex appeal in Lazard with those targets coming from QB Aaron Rodgers. [Back to Top](#top) [] 3. SF: Sam Darnold beats out Trey Lance [Source: NFL Network - Tom Pelissero and Ian Rapoport](=) San Francisco 49ers QB Sam Darnold is set to be named the team's No. 2 quarterback and the Niners will explore their options with QB Trey Lance, per sources on Wednesday, Aug. 23. Our view: Zero surprise here. Darnold has been impressive in camp and the preseason with the 49ers, and this coaching staff has coveted his ability for quite some time. Now, the question becomes what do they do with Lance. The no.3 overall pick has flashed a bit, but he lost the starting job to a seventh-round pick (Brock Purdy) and now can't beat out a guy in Darnold who has been an average-at-best starter with a few different teams. We'll see if the 49ers can find some team interested in dealing for Lance or if they just hold on to him. [Back to Top](#top) [] 4. LVR: Josh Jacobs not being discussed in trades [Source: NFL Network - Tom Pelissero]() Las Vegas Raiders RB Josh Jacobs has not been discussed in trades, and no deal is imminent to get him into camp as of Wednesday, Aug. 23. Our view: The buzz about Jacobs is sometimes odd, but here's what we know. He should report before the start of the regular season. He did delete a tweet that denied those reports a couple of days ago, but the best chances are on him just returning to the team in the 11th hour before Week 1. Then, it might take Jacobs a few weeks to get into football shape. With fantasy drafts going hot and heavy right now, GMs need to be cautiously optimistic with the Raiders best back. [Back to Top](#top) [] 5. CAR: DJ Chark injury update [Source: Panthers.com - Darin Gantt]( Updating a previous report, Carolina Panthers WR DJ Chark Jr. (hamstring) is dealing with a hamstring injury. Our view: Hamstring injuries are tough to deal with, especially when it's a fast player like Chark. The team needs to and should be wisely cautious with him upon his return. [Back to Top](#top) [] 6. BAL: Mark Andrews misses practice [Source: ESPN.com - Jamison Hensley](=) Baltimore Ravens TE Mark Andrews (undisclosed) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Aug. 23, because of an undisclosed injury. Our view: Head coach John Harbaugh said Andrews' injury is not considered serious. Fantasy GMs should keep an eye on him just in case. [Back to Top](#top) [] 7. HOU: Tank Dell's status uncertain [Source: NFL.com](=) Houston Texans WR Tank Dell's (leg) availability for the preseason game Sunday, Aug. 27, is uncertain at this point, according to head coach DeMeco Ryans. Our view: Dell has been impressive this summer, so this leg injury is a bummer. From a dynasty perspective, we love what Dell had been showing in camp with the Texans. We'll see how long it takes him to recover. [Back to Top](#top) [] 8. HOU: C.J. Stroud to start in finale [Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport](=) Houston Texans QB C.J. Stroud will start in the team's preseason finale, head coach DeMeco Ryans announced on Wednesday, Aug. 23. Our view: Stroud has started every preseason game, and he's the starter for the team in Week 1. The no.2 overall pick needs all the time he can get to learn the position. [Back to Top](#top) [] 9. CLE: Deshaun Watson to play in finale [Source: NFL.com](=) Cleveland Browns QB Deshaun Watson will play in the preseason finale, he said on Wednesday, Aug. 23. Our view: Watson needs to look better because his play last year and even at times this preseason has not been good. The Browns may not hit their stride until the midway point of the season as Watson continues to work on things. [Back to Top](#top) [] 10. MIN: T.J. Hockenson not close to extension [Source: The Athletic - Dianna Russini]() Minnesota Vikings TE T.J. Hockenson has been talking with the Vikings about a contract extension, but the two sides are far apart at this point, according to sources. Our view: Hockenson has missed much of camp with an ear infection and is now dealing with lower back stiffness according to HC Kevin O'Connell. When healthy, Hockenson is a top-5 fantasy tight end. We imagine Hockenson should get healthy, stay healthy, produce on the field and perhaps get a new deal sometime in the season. [Back to Top](#top) That'll do it for today, Folks.
