LVR: Josh Jacobs to return before Week 1? [Source: Las Vegas Review-Journal - Vincent Bonsignore]( Las Vegas Raiders RB Josh Jacobs is expected to report to the team before the start of the regular season, according to multiple league sources. Our view: The saga continues. Jacobs did tweet a response that denied this report, and then he deleted the report. We'll see what happens in this situation, but Fantasy GMs will be starting him if he's out there against the Broncos in Week 1. [Back to Top](#top) [] 2. LAR: Cooper Kupp returning this week [Source: ESPN.com](=) Los Angeles Rams WR Cooper Kupp (hamstring) will return to practice this week, head coach Sean McVay said Sunday, Aug. 20. Our view: The Rams have joint practices this week with the Broncos. We'll see how much Kupp is worked into the mix during the week because he's unlikely to be used in the preseason finale. [Back to Top](#top) [] 3. MIA: De'Von Achane week-to-week [Source: ESPN.com - Cameron Wolfe](=) Miami Dolphins RB De'Von Achane (shoulder) is week-to-week but avoided a serious shoulder injury, according to head coach Mike McDaniel. Our view: That's a good sign, but it's disappointing the rookie is banged up. He's a speed merchant who can be a fine weapon for the Dolphins as a runner and receiver. Raheem Mostert and Jeff Wilson are there to get plenty of work in the backfield while Achane misses time. [Back to Top](#top) [] 4. KC: Isiah Pacheco could play in preseason finale [Source: KSHB - McKenzie Nelson](=) Kansas City Chiefs RB Isiah Pacheco (shoulder) shed his non-contact jersey and practiced with the first-team offense Monday, Aug. 21. Head coach Andy Reid said afterward that Pacheco has a chance to play in the team's final preseason game versus the Cleveland Browns on Saturday, Aug. 26. Our view: Pacheco is a go for the start of the regular season, but the team may want him to shake some rust off before Week 1. He's the lead back, and Pacheco is the angriest runner in the league. Pacheco and Jerick McKinnon will work in an RBBC for the Chiefs this season. We'll see Pacheco do the heavy lifting, and McKinnon will work as the receiver out of the backfield. [Back to Top](#top) [] 5. SF: Anthony Miller signs with 49ers [Source: Jordan Schultz]( Free-agent WR Anthony Miller (Steelers) agreed to an undisclosed deal with the San Francisco 49ers Monday, Aug. 21. Our view: We'll see if Miller can make an impression with the 49ers enough to make the team's practice squad. A second-round pick in the 2018 NFL draft, Miller has bounced around the league and has never played up to his potential. That natural talent is there, but he's got to stay healthy to stick. [Back to Top](#top) [] 6. MIA: Mike White in concussion protocol [Source: ESPN.com - Cameron Wolfe](=) Miami Dolphins QB Mike White (head) entered the concussion protocol after the staff noticed irregularities with him in the game Saturday, Aug. 19. Our view: We'll see how long White stays in the protocol. Skylar Thompson is there to be the backup if White has to miss time in the regular season. [Back to Top](#top) [] 7. BUF: Ty Johnson likely headed to Buffalo [Source: ESPN.com - Jeremy Fowler](=) Free-agent RB Ty Johnson (Jets) is reportedly close to agreeing to terms on an undisclosed contract with the Buffalo Bills, according to a source. Our view: Johnson brings more veteran depth to the roster, although he's far from a lock to make the final roster. The Bills have James Cook as their starter, and Latavius Murray will work with Damien Harris as the primary backups. Johnson is working to earn a spot behind those guys. [Back to Top](#top) [] 8. NE: Bill Belichick praises Kendrick Bourne [Source: ProFootballTalk.com - Michael David Smith](=) New England Patriots WR Kendrick Bourne caught passes on the first two plays of the team's Aug. 19 preseason game against the Green Bay Packers, continuing what has been a solid offseason for him.'He had a good spring. That spring led into having a good training camp. He's done very well in all phases of the game. He's played multiple spots, caught the ball well, blocked well. He's had a good camp,' head coach Bill Belichick said of Bourne. Our view: Belichick doesn't throw around compliments often, so we'll take note here. Bourne is competing for the no.3 spot behind DeVante Parker and JuJu Smith-Schuster. We're not expecting much from a fantasy perspective, so Bourne is best left on the waiver wire in most leagues. [Back to Top](#top) [] 9. SF: San Francisco officially adds Brian Hill [Source: Bay Area News Group - Cam Inman](=) Updating a previous report, free-agent RB Brian Hill (XFL) signed an undisclosed contract with the San Francisco 49ers on Monday, Aug. 21. DL Tomasi Laulile was waived to make room for him on the roster. Our view: Hill has bounced around to a few different teams in the pros, and the veteran back brings an all-purpose skill set to the field. The 49ers have a specific backfield with wide-zone concepts that Hill fits perfectly. [Back to Top](#top) [] 10. CAR: Miles Sanders practicing without limitations [Source: The Athletic - Joe Person]() Carolina Panthers RB Miles Sanders (groin) practiced in full pads Monday, Aug. 21. Our view: This is a good sign for the veteran back. Sanders missed the team's first two preseason games after injuring his groin earlier this month. He's the lead back on the roster, but the Panthers should also use guys like Chuba Hubbard and Raheem Blackshear to give him a breather. [Back to Top](#top) That'll do it for today, Folks.
