IND: Anthony Richardson gets more starting reps [Source: ColtsWire - Kevin Hickey]( Indianapolis Colts QB Anthony Richardson took every rep with the starting offense during practice Thursday, Aug. 3. This marks the second consecutive practice that he's taken every first-team rep. Our view: There was some question whether the Colts would trust Richardson to start Week 1 because of a relative lack of experience compared to other quarterbacks historically taken in the top five, but camp is putting that question to rest. Richardson is a good pick around QB10 or later, and he could easily outperform that ranking on his running ability alone. [Back to Top](#top) [] 2. DET: Jameson Williams to be busy [Source: DetroitLions.com - Tim Twentyman]( Detroit Lions WR Jameson Williams is going to receive a lot of reps this preseason, according to head coach Dan Campbell. 'We're going to douse him with a ton of game reps,' Campbell said. 'He needs that. As he does practice, but man, and I'm telling you, as with anybody, the more reps he gets, the more time on task, the more consecutive practices and reps he can put together, he'll just grow.' Our view: This isn't a great sign for the 2022 #12 overall pick's development. He is still worth a speculative pick at his cheap ADP because when he does return from his six-game gambling suspension, Williams will be the deep threat for one of the most efficient passing offenses in the league, but we'll be watching him in preseason to see if he is growing as Campbell hopes he will. WAS: Jacoby Brissett has a chance [Source: 106.7 The Fan - Grant Paulsen]() Washington Commanders QB Jacoby Brissett has 'done a nice job' in training camp so far, according to head coach Ron Rivera, who hinted that he still has a chance to beat out Sam Howell for the starting job.'As I have said a couple times, do not sleep on Jacoby. He has done a nice job as well. ... We have a real good quarterback room. Were very happy with what we have (there) right now,' Rivera told reporters. Our view: Some are thinking Brissett could have a Geno Smith-like resurgence with the Commanders. We'll see, and in the preseason Brissett will battle with Sam Howell for the starting job. Howell is the new kid on the block, and fantasy players are interested because he was a productive runner in college, but Brissett is a safe decision-maker with a lot of experience, so Howell will have to be compelling to win the starting job, especially with a head coach who is more conservative about game management. Superflex league players need to keep tabs on this quarterback battle. [Back to Top](#top) [] 4. IND: Three RBs worked out [Source: ESPN.com - Field Yates]( Free-agent RB Kenyan Drake (Ravens), RB Benny Snell (Steelers) and RB Devine Ozigbo (Broncos) recently worked out for the Indianapolis Colts. Our view: The Colts are updating their files just in case they end up needing a running back or two. The plan is for Jonathan Taylor to play for the team in 2023, but if Taylor feels like the relationship is beyond repair, then that could change. That the Colts haven't worked out Ezekiel Elliott, Leonard Fournette, or Kareem Hunt is a sign that they aren't seriously planning to be without Taylor this year... yet. [Back to Top](#top) [] 5. BAL: Zay Flowers standing out [Source: ESPN.com - Jamison Hensley](=) Baltimore Ravens WR Zay Flowers is solidifying himself as one of the top two receivers in Baltimore, according to Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com. Our view: With Rashod Bateman still on the PUP and Odell Beckham coming off of a year and a half away from football, Flowers is starting to look like a good bet to lead the Ravens wide receivers in catches this year in a souped up passing game. His ADP should be on the rise and could level off around the 6th-7th round. [Back to Top](#top) [] 6. IND: DeForest Buckner injures foot [Source: ColtsWire - Kevin Hickey]() Indianapolis Colts DT DeForest Buckner (foot) suffered a foot injury during practice Thursday, Aug. 3. Our view: Buckner came up limping after a play and left the field with a trainer according to Joel A. Erickson from the Indy Star. The severity of the injury is not known, but Buckner is the Colts defensive player, so we'll be listening for follow-up news for both NFL and IDP league implications. [Back to Top](#top) [] 7. NE: Hunter Henry continues to deliver [Source: ESPN.com - Mike Reiss](=) New England Patriots TE Hunter Henry continues to be the 'go-to guy' for QB Mac Jones in the red zone, according to Mike Reiss of ESPN.com. Our view: Henry should be moving up rankings, but he is still a low TE1 at best in a mediocre at best passing game that added Mike Gesicki this offseason. If you need depth in a TE premium league or wait until after the top 10 tight ends are off of the board to take your starter, Henry is a potential target. [Back to Top](#top) [] 8. DEN: Javonte Williams will play in preseason [Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter]() Denver Broncos RB Javonte Williams (knee) will likely see some action during the team's second preseason game, according to comments made by head coach Sean Payton on Thursday, Aug. 3. Our view: Payton said they'll look over the plan next week. Williams avoided starting camp on the PUP list, and he's looked fantastic on the practice field. He's been given some rest days during camp, but when he's out there he's going full speed and cutting on his surgically repaired knee. Williams will be the lead back, but Samaje Perine will get work in the Broncos' backfield as they go run-heavy to protect QB Russell Wilson in 2023. [Back to Top](#top) [] 9. WAS: Brian Robinson Jr. expanding his skills [Source: ESPN.com - John Keim]( Washington Commanders RB Brian Robinson Jr. 'has shown terrific hands throughout training camp,' according to John Keim of ESPN.com. Our view: Robinson is having a great camp and looking like an improved back from the form he showed in 2022, when he played his first game on October 9 after being shot in the leg on August 28. Antonio Gibson has gotten more attention from fantasy drafters on the hopes that new offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy could unleash him, but if Bieniemy invigorates the offense and they get decent quarterback play from Sam Howell and/or Jacoby Brissett, both backs could be good values at affordable ADPs.
