[Watch On Youtube]( [] 1. LAR: Cooper Kupp has MRI [Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter]() Los Angeles Rams WR Cooper Kupp (hamstring) had an MRI on his hamstring, and the team will be very cautious with him. One source said he could be back for scrimmages in a few weeks. Our view: Kupp should be healthy for Week 1, but we can't be sure he'll avoid re-injury until we see him finish the Week 1 game without incident. He shouldn't fall too far in drafts on this news, if at all, but if you had him close to players like Austin Ekeler, Christian McCaffrey, Travis Kelce, and Tyreek Hill, this injury could be a good tiebreaker. It certainly is never a good thing when a player gets hurt badly enough to miss weeks instead of days. [Back to Top](#top) [] 2. NO: Alvin Kamara meeting with Commish [Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport](=) New Orleans Saints RB Alvin Kamara is meeting with commissioner Roger Goodell Wednesday, Aug. 2. Our view: His current draft ranking had factored in him missing four games. That puts him around the 8th round of drafts, but there's a large range he ends going in because of the uncertainty around his suspension. If he is only suspended for 2-3 games, his draft ranking should go up, but if it is six games or more, it could drop and bring free-agent pickup Jamaal Williams and third-round pick Kendre Miller's ADP up in addition. [Back to Top](#top) [] 3. NO: Suspension expected for Alvin Kamara [Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport](=) New Orleans Saints RB Alvin Kamara is expected to be suspended for the night club incident he was involved in last year that led to his pleading no contest to misdemeanor chargers. Our view: Zero surprise here now that the legal process has been exhausted. The length of that suspension may be determined by his upcoming meeting with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Veteran Jamaal Williams is there to carry the load if/when Kamara is suspended. Along with Williams, rookie RB Kendre Miller could get some more playing time as well. [Back to Top](#top) [] 4. IND: Anthony Richardson with 1st Team [Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport](=) Indianapolis Colts QB Anthony Richardson took all of the first-team reps at practice on Tuesday, Aug. 1. Our view: Richardson needs to get as much work as possible. He's clearly the quarterback of the future for the Colts, and the sooner he's ready to start the better it is for his development. Richardson has an upside that is through the roof, but he needs to spend time with the best teacher; experience. Gardner Minshew is there to start if the team feels Richardson needs more time. [Back to Top](#top) [] 5. BUF: Dalton Kincaid to be flexed wide [Source: The Pat McAfee Show - Pat McAfee]() Buffalo Bills TE Dalton Kincaid will be flexed out wide in sets with TE Dawson Knox on the line, according to general manager Brandon Beane. Our view: This is no surprise as Kincaid's value was in his receiving ability. He's more of a big slot than a true two-way tight end. The Bills could have more two tight end sets than most teams if Kincaid is ready, which should also help the running game. They have a good diverse set of slot receivers besides Kincaid in Trent Sherfield, Khalil Shakir, and Deonte Harty, so the offense should be able to attack the opposition's weakness with their personnel choices. Kincaid has had a good summer to date and should be a consideration in the second half of drafts. [Back to Top](#top) [] 6. JAX: Calvin Ridley toe issue resolved [Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter]() Jaguars' HC Doug Pederson told reporters that WR Calvin Ridley has a toe injury and will be limited at practice. Our view: Ridley actually changed his cleats out, which alleviated the soreness and allowed him to practice in full today. So we can consider a non-story unless Ridley has more toe issues going forward. We'll be watching for you. [Back to Top](#top) [] 7. KC: Isiah Pacheco almost cleared [Source: NFL Network - James Palmer]( Kansas City Chiefs RB Isiah Pacheco (shoulder) is expected to be cleared for contact by Sunday, August 20, per source on Wednesday, Aug. 2. Our view: Pacheco began camp wearing a non-contact jersey as he recovers from a shoulder procedure. The angriest runner in the league, Pacheco is there to beat up opponents for the Chiefs once again. Jerick McKinnon will be the primary pass-catching back, and we love the prospects of rookie RB Deneric Prince getting worked into the mix. [Back to Top](#top) [] 8. NE: Pats managing Rhamondre Stevenson's reps [Source: Boston Herald - Doug Kyed](=) New England Patriots RB Rhamondre Stevenson has sat out three of the team's first seven practices of training camp, which is the result of the team simply managing his reps, according to sources on Wednesday, Aug. 2. Our view: The Patriots' offense should feature plenty of Stevenson in 2023. Behind him, guys like Pierre Strong, Kevin Harris, and J.J. Taylor are getting more work on the days Stevenson is getting some rest. It's wise for the team to manage his workload in camp as the power back will be the centerpiece of what they do on the ground this season. [Back to Top](#top) [] 9. NE: Jalen Hurd retires [Source: The Score - Jordan Schultz]( New England Patriots WR Jalen Hurd retired from the NFL, according to the transaction wire Tuesday, Aug. 1. Our view: There was some hope that Hurd's unique big wide receiver/power running back skillset would give a creative offensive coordinator useful versatility, but he never panned out after the 49ers spent a third round pick on him in 2019. [Back to Top](#top) [] 10. IND: Zack Moss has surgery [Source: NFL Network - Mike Garafolo]() Indianapolis Colts RB Zack Moss (arm) had surgery to repair his broken arm on Tuesday, Aug. 1, per source. Moss' expected recovery time is still about six weeks. Our view: Fifth-round pick Evan Hull and 2021 UDFA Deon Jackson will be the top backs while Moss is out and Jonathan Taylor works to get off of the PUP list. Jake Funk, a former seventh-round pick of the Rams, and recent addition Toriano Clinton, a local product out of the University of Indianapolis who went undrafted this year, will also have more opportunity to impress the coaches while Moss is out. [Back to Top](#top) [] 11. DEN: Tim Patrick placed on IR [Source: Click2Houston.com - Aaron Wilson]() Denver Broncos WR Tim Patrick (Achilles) was placed on injured reserve on Wednesday, Aug. 2, after suffering a torn Achilles recently. Our view: Patrick's 2023 season is over before it began...just like his 2022 season he missed due to a training camp ACL injury. There's a good chance that Patrick has played his last down for the Broncos, but if he continues playing in 2024 there will be some team interested in a "prove it" deal for a player with Patrick's size/speed combination. [Back to Top](#top) [] 12. GB: Josh Love works out for GB [Source: Click2Houston.com - Aaron Wilson]() Free-agent QB Josh Love (USFL) worked out for the Green Bay Packers on Tuesday, Aug. 1, per source. Our view: Love is no relation to Packers starter Jordan Love, but he could become the backup and create an all-Love depth chart at the position if he is signed and gets to compete with journeyman Danny Etling, a 2018 seventh-round pick of the Patriots and fifth-round pick Sean Clifford, who played ahead of Will Levis at Penn State. [Back to Top](#top) [] 13. LVR: Jimmy Garoppolo limited [Source: The Athletic - Tashan Reed]( Las Vegas Raiders QB Jimmy Garoppolo exited practice early on Wednesday, Aug. 2, but it was the result of the team's management plan that calls for limited reps some days. Our view: Just about a week ago, there were reports that Garoppolo (foot) will have "no restrictions" in Raiders camp. Well, that's not the case as we're early in the process and Garoppolo is getting some time off. That's smart considering there were questions about whether or not he'd even be ready for the start of the regular season a couple of months ago. [Back to Top](#top) Got skills?
