[NO - Alvin Kamara settles on misdemeanor charge](=) Source: CBS 8 News - David Charns New Orleans Saints RB Alvin Kamara agreed to plead no contest to a misdemeanor charge of breach of peace stemming from the Las Vegas nightclub fight in 2021 on Tuesday, July 11. Kamara will perform community service and pay $100,000 to the victim to help with his medical bills, according to a source. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Kamara is not going to serve any time, but the NFL could still suspend him for this incident. Now that the legal process has been resolved, the league will take action...and who knows what that's going to mean for Kamara. He could be suspended, but he could just be fined. This uncertain situation has already been cooked into Kamara's ADP, with Fantasy GMs taking him off the board in the low-end RB2 territory (fifth round in 12 team PPR leagues). [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 2. [IND - Jonathan Taylor is 'healed up']( Source: 1075 The Fan - Kevin Bowen Indianapolis Colts RB Jonathan Taylor (ankle) is 'healed up' after an offseason procedure on his ankle that forced him to miss the offseason program, owner Jim Irsay said on Monday, July 10. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Great news for the Colts and Fantasy GMs here. Taylor is going to continue as the centerpiece of the Colts' offense, especially with rookie QB Anthony Richardson likely to start (sometime) in 2023. We should see him eased back into action during training camp and the preseason, but it looks like Week 1 is a "go" unless Taylor suffers a setback. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 3. [HOU - Dameon Pierce in elite company](=) Source: ProFootballReference.com Houston Texans RB Dameon Pierce finished second among all qualified running backs by averaging a broken tackle every 8.1 carries in 2022, according to Pro Football Reference. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Pierce had a good rookie season in 2022, finishing as the no.26 fantasy running back in standard-scoring leagues. Earlier this year, Texans' RBs coach Danny Barrett said Pierce has improved his pass blocking this offseason. That could help Pierce earn more time on passing downs, but we have to see how free-agent addition RB Devin Singletary is going to work into the mix. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 4. [KC - Chiefs lurking for DeAndre Hopkins](=) Source: ESPN.com - Jeremy Fowler Free-agent WR DeAndre Hopkins (Cardinals) remains in contact with the Kansas City Chiefs but the team has to free up more money in order to sign him and is 'on the periphery' at the moment, ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reported on Saturday, July 8. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Hopkins would love to sign with a contender, but currently, the Titans and the Patriots are the teams with the most interest...and neither could be classified as being in a Super Bowl window. The Chiefs are most certainly ready to push for another championship in 2023, and adding Hopkins would boost an already mighty passing game. At this time, per OverTheCap.com, the Chiefs are no.32 in the league with just a little over $500k in salary cap space. They'd have to do some cap gymnastics to make room for the veteran receiver. [DET - Hendon Hooker progressing]() Source: Knoxnews.com Detroit Lions third-round pick QB Hendon Hooker (knee) said he's progressing very well from a torn anterior cruciate ligament. 'I'm really just taking it day-by-day and continuing to build my body back up to where I want it to be and even better,' Hooker said. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Hooker has first-round talent, but he fell to the third round of the 2023 NFL draft due to this knee injury. He's likely to get a redshirt year this season with the Lions. Next year, we'll see what Hooker looks like as he could push for a starting job. He's a talented passer, and he will get a chance to start in this league at some point in his career. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 6. [ARI - Three QBs may compete for one spot]( Source: CardinalsWire - Jess Root Arizona Cardinals QBs David Blough, Jeff Driskel and Clayton Tune will compete for the No. 3 quarterback job during training camp. The winner will serve as the No. 2 quarterback while QB Kyler Murray (knee) is sidelined. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Colt McCoy is there to start while Murray is banged up. Behind him, these three will compete for the no.2 (will be no.3) spot. We imagine the Cardinals can't be terribly inspired by these guys, so they could be in the market for a free agent veteran or they could watch to see if any other team lets a quarterback they like go. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [100% Deposit Match Up To $100 At Underdog Fantasy]( --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 7. [GB - Position coach talks up Samori Toure]() Source: Packers.com - Wes Hodkiewicz Green Bay Packers WR Samori Toure 'looks unbelievable right now,' receivers coach/passing game coordinator Jason Vrable told the team's website at the start of organized team activities in May.'If you guys would see Samori right now, you wouldn't even recognize the guy from last year, his growth. He's probably, of everybody, the one that everybody around the building is like, '(Number) 83 looks unbelievable right now,' Vrable said. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] A seventh-round pick in the 2022 NFL draft, Toure played just 112 snaps as a rookie, catching five passes for 82 yards and one touchdown. These reports are positive from a fantasy perspective, and it certainly gets us interested in deep dynasty formats. Toure is going to compete with 2023 second-round pick Jayden Reed for the no.3 spot on the depth chart behind Christian Watson and Romeo Doubs. We'll see what kind of connection Toure can build with QB Jordan Love in training camp. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 8. [KC - PUP list an option for Isiah Pacheco](=) Source: ChiefsWire - Charles Goldman Kansas City Chiefs RB Isiah Pacheco (nose, shoulder) could be a candidate to start training camp on the Active/Physically Unable to Perform list. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Pacheco is the angriest runner in the league, and that beat up his body last year. The Chiefs could start him on the PUP list to cover themselves for the start of the regular season if they need to give him more time to heal. Undrafted RB Deneric Prince has us excited in super deep dynasty formats. Jerick McKinnon is there to be the receiving back, and former first-round pick Clyde Edwards-Helaire is out to prove that he can start as well. The Chiefs have options if Pacheco needs time to get right. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- That'll do it for today, Folks.
