But he has to play to get better. There's no question. Gardner could play better early on, him just being a veteran. But we have to get Anthony on the field. [LAC - Easton Stick the likely No. 2]() Source: The Athletic - Daniel Popper Los Angeles Chargers QB Easton Stick has 'the backup job locked down' for the 2023 season, according to Daniel Popper of The Athletic. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Max Duggan was added in the seventh round of the 2023 NFL draft, but the rookie is likely to be no.3 on the depth chart. He could fail to make the final roster but get a chance to further develop on the practice squad. Stick was a fifth-round pick out of North Dakota State back in 2019, and he's been working on his game with the Chargers ever since. It's all about QB Justin Herbert, and if he were to get banged up the team would likely struggle with Stick running the show. [JAX - Josh Pederson joins Jacksonville]( Source: FOX Sports - Ben Arthur Free-agent TE Josh Pederson - the son of Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Doug Pederson - was signed by the Jaguars on Monday, July 10. TE Leonard Taylor (undisclosed) was waived with an injury designation to make room for him on the roster. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Pederson most recently played for the USFL's Houston Gamblers where he finished with 24 receptions for 325 yards (second most on the team). The addition of WR D.J. Moore means Mooney will be one-on-one for some deep shots all the time. If QB Justin Fields can take strides as a passer, that could mean higher-value targets for a deep threat like Mooney. We like him as a late-round flier in your fantasy league. Undrafted out of UC Davis in 2019, Doss has a nice size/speed combination but he's failed to latch on for long with any of the previous five teams he's been with (including two stints with the Raiders). We'll see if Doss can carry over the momentum from the offseason into training camp and the preseason. Witnesses say Fournette was racing a motorcyclist on the highway. Florida Highway Patrol didn't have enough information to proceed. According to reports, Fournette blamed mechanical issues as to why his vehicle burst into flames. A Dodge Durango Hellcat is fast (for an SUV), but racing a motorcycle on the street is just foolish. When training camp gets here, perhaps a team will bring Fournette in for veteran depth.
