[TEN - Hassan Haskins arrested, charged]() Source: Scoop Nashville - Wayne Steen Tennessee Titans RB Hassan Haskins was arrested and charged with aggravated assault by strangulation on Thursday, June 29, after an alleged domestic violence exchange with his ex-girlfriend. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Haskins wasn't even clearly ahead of UDFA Julius Chestnut and the Titans drafted Tyjae Spears in the third round, so his roster spot was already far from guaranteed. This a felony charge and serious allegation, so the NFL could decide to levy punishment before the legal system resolves the case. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 2. [CAR - Corral showed significant strides in OTAs]() Source: The Athletic - Joseph Person Joseph Person, of The Athletic, reports that QB Matt Corral showed "significant strides" in OTAs according to head coach Frank Reich. Person projects Corral to make the team as the #3 quarterback behind #1 pick Bryce Young and Andy Dalton. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] This is important because Corral was drafted before Reich was the head coach. The Panthers gave up a 2022 fourth and 2023 third-round pick to get Corral, so they won't move on from him unless his development stalls out after missing 2022 with a foot injury. It doesn't sound like that is happening, so players in superflex dynasty leagues should keep tabs on Corral even though Andy Dalton is signed to a two-year deal with $8 million guaranteed, likely keeping him on the roster through next season. Corral has running ability to boost his potential future fantasy value. If Young's small stature dooms him to durability issues, Corral could be seeing the field before the end of his rookie deal. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 3. [LAR - Rams ink three draft picks]() Source: Click2Houston.com - Aaron Wilson Los Angeles Rams CB Tre'Vius Hodges-Tomlinson, DE Ochaun Mathis and RB Zach Evans agreed to terms on their rookie contracts on Saturday, July 1. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Evans was a sixth-round pick, but he's more talented than most backs who fall to the sixth round. Cam Akers is the entrenched starter, but his injury history and inconsistency means a door could open for Evans to become a big part of this backfield. 2022 fifth-round pick Kyren Williams will also play a role. [NFL - Colin Kaepernick not giving up]( Source: USA TODAY - Jordan Mendoza Free-agent QB Colin Kaepernick has not given up on his desire to return to the NFL, he told USA TODAY's Jordan Mendoza on Thursday, June 29. 'I still train for it every day,' Kaepernick said. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Kaepernick is 35 years old. His running ability would likely still be above average by NFL terms, so he would have fantasy value if he got a shot as a backup and ended up a starter in a pinch. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 5. [DEN - KJ Hamler's deal restructured]( Source: ESPN.com - Field Yates Denver Broncos WR KJ Hamler had the final year of his contract restructured on Friday, June 30. Hamler's $1.58 million base salary will remain intact, but he'll now have the opportunity to make an additional $417,000 in incentives. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Hamler was once considered a part of the Broncos long term future after they spent a second-round pick on him in 2020, but he's projected as the #5 wideout this year, so it will be difficult for him to earn those incentives without an outstanding camp and preseason to earn more playing time or multiple injuries in the wide receiver corps. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [100% Deposit Match Up To $100 At Underdog Fantasy]( --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 6. [DEN - Sutton studying 2019 Michael Thomas tape](=) Source: DenverBroncos.com Aric DiLalla of DenverBroncos.com reports that WR Courtland Sutton is studying the 2019 tape of Michael Thomas, when he had 149 catches under now Broncos head coach Sean Payton. "It's interesting, I actual just got -- not too long ago, maybe a week or two ago -- I just got Michael Thomas' 2019 targets from his year that he broke the record," Sutton said. "[I'm] just diving into it [to] be able to see how he may have run a route that we are learning right now. Figuring out ways to get open." [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The fantasy values of the Broncos wide receiver group are up in the air, as Jerry Jeudy had the best finish in 2022 (whom Payton said will be a "big part" of the offense), Tim Patrick, who many regard as the most consistent of the group, and Sutton, who has been a forgotten man in fantasy circles after a poor showing last year. If we hear that in camp Sutton is running some of the same routes Thomas ran in Payton's offense, we should be more open to him being a value pick.
