[CLE - CLE likely out on DeAndre Hopkins]() Source: SI.com - Albert Breer Free-agent WR DeAndre Hopkins (Cardinals) is unlikely to be pursued by the Cleveland Browns, according to sources. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Browns have wide receivers like Amari Cooper, Donovan Peoples-Jones, and Elijah Moore to catch passes from QB Deshaun Watson. Hopkins had a history with Watson from their days together in Houston, but it sounds like the Browns are content with who they have at the position. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 2. [IND - Gardner Minshew could start Week 1](=) Source: Indianapolis Star - Nate Atkins Indianapolis Colts QB Gardner Minshew has a chance to start Week 1, but it's trending toward QB Anthony Richardson starting, according to beat writer Nate Atkins. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The future of the Colts is Richardson, so getting him in there ASAP is likely the best plan. The rookie first-round pick is incredibly raw, but he's got all the tools to be a franchise quarterback. There's no better teacher than experience, so we think Richardson comes out of training camp and preseason as the starter for Week 1. Minshew is there as veteran insurance. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 3. [BUF - Trent Sherfield makes an impression on Josh Allen]( Source: ESPN.com - Alaina Getzenberg Buffalo Bills WR Trent Sherfield saw increased opportunities as the Z receiver during organized team activities and parts of minicamp as a result of Stefon Diggs' absence and took advantage of the opportunity in the eyes of his quarterback, Josh Allen.'I've loved what I've seen from Trent so far; the dude works extremely hard. He's one of the hardest-working guys on the team. Doesn't complain about anything. He's rolling right now,' Allen told ESPN.com's Alaina Getzenberg during offseason practices. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Sherfield has impressed at multiple stops in the NFL, and the Bills were wise to sign him in free agency earlier this year. He can line up all over the formation, but Sherfield will have to beat out guys like Khalil Shakir and Deonte Harty to be the no.3 receiver behind Stefon Diggs and Gabe Davis. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 4. [MIA - Devon Achane trending upwards]( Source: ESPN.com - Marcel Louis-Jacques Miami Dolphins third-round pick RB Devon Achane could have a prominent role in the offense soon, in the opinion of beat writer Marcel Louis-Jacques. He has looked like one of the most explosive players without pads thus far, has shown prowess as a pass-catcher and home run ability after the catch. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Achane is just a playmaker, no matter if he's a runner or receiver. He's not just a capable receiver out of the backfield either. Achane can line up in the slot and run routes if asked to do so. We're excited to see how the Dolphins work him into the mix with RB Raheem Mostert. In PPR leagues, Achane should have plenty of flex appeal. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 5. [BAL - Nelson Agholor creating some buzz]( Source: ESPN.com - Jamison Hensley Baltimore Ravens WR Nelson Agholor is 'the clear-cut No. 4 wide receiver in Baltimore, but he's making a case for having a bigger role in the passing game,' according to ESPN.com's Jamison Hensley.'He has been on point. He's a talented guy. (He's a) former first-round pick; he looks it - rangy, big catch radius,' head coach John Harbaugh recently told Hensley. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Agholor is another one in a long line of veteran signings the Ravens try every year. This season, it could pay off in Baltimore as Agholor can still get down the field as a threat. We doubt he does what he did with the Raiders a few years ago (48-896-8), but Agholor gives QB Lamar Jackson a deep target he can trust and that might have some 'what the heck' flex appeal for Fantasy GMs in 2023. [CLE - Marquise Goodwin impressing Cleveland]( Source: ESPN - Jake Trotter Cleveland Browns WR Marquise Goodwin 'dominated' minicamp, 'flashing the downfield wheels that could make him an intriguing weapon for quarterback Deshaun Watson,' according to ESPN.com's Jake Trotter. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Goodwin still has Olympic speed, and he can flat out fly. Reports indicate the Browns are not going to be interested in free agent WR DeAndre Hopkins, so their depth chart could come together with Amari Cooper, Donovan Peoples-Jones, and Elijah Moore as their top three receivers. Goodwin could win the no.4 job as a downfield threat. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 7. [TEN - Treylon Burks in better shape in 2023]( Source: ESPN.com - Turron Davenport Tennessee Titans WR Treylon Burks reported to offseason workouts 'with a noticeably leaner build' and was'playing at a different speed from his rookie season,' according to ESPN.com's Turron Davenport. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Burks had a bad offseason as a rookie, with conditioning concerns and nagging injuries plaguing him early on. This year, Burks is much more up to speed. In fact, camp reports from OTAs indicate that he's the favorite target of QB Ryan Tannehill. As the Titans' no.1 receiver, we like Burks as a WR3/flex option for Fantasy GMs out there. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [100% Deposit Match Up To $100 At Underdog Fantasy]( --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 8. [KC - Deneric Prince set himself apart in spring]( Source: ESPN.com - Adam Teicher Kansas City Chiefs RB Deneric Prince took advantage of fellow running back Isiah Pacheco's absence and stood out as a receiver during offseason practice. According to ESPN.com's Adam Teicher, Prince has a chance to claim not only a roster spot but some playing time if he shows an aptitude for pass protection at training camp. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] That's going to be the big indicator for Prince's role on this offense. If he can protect the passer, then Prince could get some snaps behind Pacheco. However, he'll have to work into the mix with Jerick McKinnon who is there as a valuable backup and receiving back. Plus, former first-round pick Clyde Edwards-Helaire is still on the roster vying for playing time. We'll be monitoring Prince closely in training camp. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 9. [DEN - Jaleel McLaughlin flashed during spring work]( Source: ESPN.com - Jeff Legwold Denver Broncos RB Jaleel McLaughlin 'showed speed, vision and decisiveness in the no-pads portion of the offseason program,' according to ESPN.com's Jeff Legwold. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Keep this name on your deep sleeper list. McLaughlin is a Matt Waldman favorite, and Cecil Lammey has been raving about the undrafted rookie at Broncos OTAs. He's got a ton of speed and is a fantastic receiver who can be a fine change-of-pace to the Broncos' power duo of Javonte Williams and Samaje Perine. We'll see if McLaughlin can make the 53-man roster or if he's bound for the practice squad this year, but he's too talented to not make the team at all. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- That'll do it for today, Folks. Thanks for reading and thanks for being part of the Footballguys Family.
