[WAS - Sam Howell to enter camp as first-string QB](=) Source: ESPN.com - John Keim Washington Commanders QB Sam Howell will enter training camp as the No. 1 quarterback on the team's depth chart, according to head coach Ron Rivera. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Jacoby Brissett is on the roster as a quality backup if Howell isn't up to the task, but the team wants Howell to win the job and potentially give them a multi-year starter on a cheap rookie deal. No matter who wins the job, Washington will have a low wattage passing attack and their quarterback will only have fantasy value in superflex leagues. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 2. [NYG - Jalin Hyatt being eased in]() Source: ESPN.com - Jordan Raanan New York Giants WR Jalin Hyatt was brought along slowly during OTAs, according to Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Hyatt was considered a possible first round pick, but fell to the Giants in the third round. He has a narrow but impactful profile as a deep threat, but as this item indicates, don't expect him to have a big role this year. The Giants wide receiver group will be led by Darius Slayton, Parris Campbell (who is having a good opening chapter to his Giants tenure) and Isaiah Hodgins. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 3. [DAL - Jake Ferguson likely to start](=) Source: The Athletic - Jon Machota Dallas Cowboys TE Jake Ferguson is expected to be the team's starting tight end in 2023. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Cowboys will also use 2022 UDFA Peyton Hendershot, who is an athletic passcatcher, and this year's second-round pick Luke Schoonmaker, who is projected to be the long-term starter. Ferguson should lead the Cowboys tight ends in receptions and yards after Dalton Schultz left in free agency, but the production will likely be split three ways and make it difficult for fantasy value to grow here. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 4. [CLE - Jerome Ford more than a returner]( Source: ClevelandBrowns.com - Anthony Poisal Cleveland Browns RB Jerome Ford is expected to remain the No. 1 kickoff return man this season while taking on an expanded role in the run game, according to running backs coach Stump Mitchell. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Ford will be the primary backup to Nick Chubb as long as he shows he's up to the promotion. The Browns haven't made any strong overtures towards Kareem Hunt even though he's still available and probably cheap on the open market and they let D'Ernest Johnson walk in free agency. Ford could be a very important player in fantasy leagues this year if Chubb goes down, and he might even have value in best ball leagues independent of Chubb's games played. [DAL - KaVontae Turpin could expand role](=) Source: The Athletic - Jon Machota Dallas Cowboys WR KaVontae Turpin worked with the second-team offense and 'should see more chances to make an impact at wide receiver' in 2023, according to Jon Machota of The Athletic. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Turpin is a better open-field running threat than any of the Cowboys starting receivers, so it makes sense for them to manufacture touches for him. It probably won't significantly affect the value of any of the other receivers, but could help the offense overall. Turpin still doesn't have value outside of return yardage leagues. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 6. [PIT - Allen Robinson to work out with QB]() Source: Pittsburgh Tribune-Review - Joe Rutter Pittsburgh Steelers WR Allen Robinson said he plans to work out with QB Kenny Pickett multiple times leading up to the start of training camp. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Robinson would fit in best as a slot receiver with his separation ability outside possibly on the decline. He probably won't be fantasy relevant this year, but will help the Steelers offense convert first downs and act as a mentor for their young wide receiver group. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [100% Deposit Match Up To $100 At Underdog Fantasy]( --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 7. [NYG - Wan'Dale Robinson may be IR candidate](=) Source: New York Post - Paul Schwartz New York Giants WR Wan'Dale Robinson (knee) is believed to be a candidate for the Reserve/Injured list to start the season because he is still recovering from a torn anterior cruciate ligament. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] This is big news for Parris Campbell, who is having a great spring. Campbell led the team in receptions from Daniel Jones in open practices during OTAs, and he was even used at running back. It seems like Robinson and Campbell's expected roles will have some overlap, so if Robinson is slow to get back to 100%, Campbell will have a chance to be relevant in fantasy leagues. Campbell is available in the very late rounds right now, but that low price might not last. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 8. [DAL - Jalen Tolbert pushing for No. 4 spot](=) Source: The Athletic - Jon Machota Dallas Cowboys WR Jalen Tolbert 'will be given every opportunity' to win the No. 4 receiver job during training camp, according to Jon Machota of The Athletic. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Tolbert was billed as a Dak Prescott pick when the Cowboys took him in the third round last year, but had a disappointing rookie campaign. He'll need an injury to CeeDee Lamb, Brandin Cooks, or Michael Gallup to have a chance to make an impact this year, and he's not a sure thing to beat out 2021 fifth-round size/speed receiver Simi Fehoko for the #4 job.
