[NYG - Saquon Barkley has not ruled out missing season]() Source: ESPN.com - Jordan Raanan New York Giants RB Saquon Barkley will not attend the team's mandatory minicamp this week and has not ruled out sitting out the entire 2023 season if he doesn't get a new deal, he said on Sunday, June 11. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Barkley had the franchise tag placed on him, and the two sides have until mid-July to work out a long-term deal. He's set to make $10.1 million fully guaranteed on the franchise tag, and Barkley has stated that he doesn't want to "reset" the running back market with a monster deal. It sounds like things could get done before the July 17 deadline. With Barkley out of mandatory minicamp, guys like veteran RB Matt Breida and rookie RB Eric Gray will get more work. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 2. [BAL - Lamar Jackson expecting more freedom on offense]() Source: ESPN.com - Jamison Hensley Baltimore Ravens QB Lamar Jackson is working with offensive coordinator Todd Monken for the first time in 2023, and recently told ESPN.com's Jamison Hensley that '(Monken) is basically just giving us the keys to the offense.''We've been in that world before (being able to audible more freely at the line), but not to this degree. To me, the offense starts in that world more than it did before, and I'm excited about that, [and] I know Lamar is excited about that,' head coach John Harbaugh said. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Things got stale under former OC Greg Roman. Jackson will have the freedom to do more as a passer this year, and the Ravens have gone out of their way to continue adding quality pass catchers this offseason. We're intrigued by what Jackson could be this year, and if he takes to the offense (and stays health) there is a chance he could finish 2023 as the no.1 fantasy quarterback. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 3. [PIT - Allen Robinson ramping up]() Source: Pittsburgh Tribune-Review - Chris Adamski Pittsburgh Steelers WR Allen Robinson (foot) has been able to take part in full team activities during the last week of OTAs. 'Being able to get back to have that and lay that foundation for myself going into a phase before training camp where I get six and a half weeks to work on things before training camp,' Robinson said. 'I'm glad I'm able to get that out now.' [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Robinson is no longer the player he used to be, but we're intrigued to see what he looks like as a security blanket option for second-year QB Kenny Pickett. We might even see Robinson be a go-to guy in the red zone. There are things to monitor with Robinson in training camp and the preseason. Fantasy GMs should think of him as a late-round flier in deep leagues. Most should have Robinson on waiver wire speed dial if he's not drafted (and plays well with his new team). [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 4. [JAX - Early expectations for Tank Bigsby]( Source: Jacksonville.com - Demetrius Harvey Jacksonville Jaguars RB Tank Bigsby 'will have plenty of opportunity to quickly become the team's primary backup back to Travis Etienne and could out-touch him in some games depending on who has the hot hand,' according to Demetrius Harvey of the Florida Times Union. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] More positive Bigsby news today. Bigsby is not a power back, even though he has the name 'Tank' but instead is a three-down back who can make plays as a runner or receiver out of the backfield. He's a player who could be earning a larger-than-expected role even though Etienne is the starter and lead back for the Jaguars. Let's see how this RBBC shakes out in training camp and the preseason. [TEN - Treylon Burks feeling more confident]( Source: TennesseeTitans.com - Jim Wyatt Tennessee Titans WR Treylon Burks is feeling more confident ahead of Year 2. 'My confidence is out the roof,' Burks said on Friday, June9 . 'I would say I am playing fast, physical, and not thinking too much. I feel like all those things are showing, and I'm just getting better each day.' [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] This offseason has been full of positive reports about Burks - and for good reason. Last year's first-round pick has the skill to be a dangerous player for the Titans' offense. In his one 100-yard game as a rookie (Week 11 against the Packers), Burks proved he can make plays in this league. However, injuries and inconsistencies plagued him in 2022 and Burks finished with 33 catches for 444 yards and one touchdown in 11 games. This offseason, Burks has been reported as being the "favorite target" for QB Ryan Tannehill. That means Burks should be considered a WR3 with upside from a fantasy perspective as he could be a target hog for the Titans this year. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 6. [PHI - Quez Watkins making a favorable impression]() Source: NBC Sports Philadelphia - Dave Zangaro Philadelphia Eagles WR Quez Watkins has stood out during spring practices, according to head coach Nick Sirianni. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Watkins has a ton of speed to blow by defenders. He can become a favorite deep target for QB Jalen Hurts in 2023 if he plays up to his potential. A sixth-round pick in the 2020 NFL draft, Watkins is coming off a down season in 2022. There's nothing like a bounce-back season in a contract year. Let's see if Watkins can do just that. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 7. [PHI - Britain Covey ready for more?](=) Source: SI.com - Ed Kracz and John McMullen Philadelphia Eagles WR Britain Covey remains the top punt returner and has shown 'far more confidence' at the receiver position during OTAs than he did last season, according to Ed Kracz and John McMullen of SI.com. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Covey was an All-American as a return man in college at Utah, and it's why the Eagles picked him up as a priority free agent last year. He's dangerous in the open field, and he's got the acceleration and quick moves to make defenders look silly. We'll see if that confidence as a receiver helps him earn more snaps on offense in 2023. Keep an eye on him in crazy deep dynasty formats. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [100% Deposit Match Up To $100 At Underdog Fantasy]( --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 8. [ARI - Brandon Smith finds new home with Arizona]( Source: AZCardinals.com - Darren Urban Free-agent WR Brandon Smith (XFL) officially signed an undisclosed contract with the Arizona Cardinals on Monday, June 12. Arizona released WR Auden Tate to make room for him on the roster. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Smith has good size, and he's a strong player at the catch point. Undrafted out of Iowa in 2022, Smith spent most of his rookie season on the practice squad for the Cowboys. With the DC Defenders in 2023, Smith had eight catches for 118 yards and one touchdown in six games. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 9. [SF - Jordan Mason making a move up the depth chart](=) Source: 1 No Source San Francisco 49ers RB Jordan Mason 'appears to have passed (Tyrion) Davis-Price (for the RB3 job) based on the work he got in the offseason,' according to Jerry McDonald of The San Jose Mercury News. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Mason has talent, and Davis-Price is a player that might not find a spot when the 53-man roster is decided upon after training camp. We'll see Mason as the potential winner of the no.3 spot on the depth chart behind Christian McCaffrey and Elijah Mitchell. That means there's a chance Mason could be quite significant for Fantasy GMs if the injury bug hits the 49ers' backfield. Keep an eye on this battle in training camp.
