[4 Undervalued Quarterbacks Our Staff Loves]() Our Footballgys Value Play features are some of the best content we do. We ask our Staff for players they see as undervalued and will outperform their likely draft position. As well as players who they think are overvalued and will disappoint if you draft them where they're likely to go. In this one, the Footballguys staff finds value at the quarterback position with four players we love. [] INSIDE THIS ISSUE 1. [NFL - Mark Ingram expected to retire](#1) 2. [CLE - Moore early breakout candidate](#2) 3. [JAX - Bigsby on fast track to backup job](#3) 4. [NE - Tyquan Thornton dealing with injury](#4) 5. [DEN - Denver not expected to pursue Dalvin Cook](#5) 6. [KC - Prince's chances of making the final roster going up](#6) 7. [SF - Jordan Mason seeing extra reps](#7) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 1. [NFL - Mark Ingram expected to retire]() Source: New York Post - Andrew Marchand Free-agent RB Mark Ingram (Saints) is expected to retire and join FOX Sports' 'Big Noon Kickoff' college football show, according to multiple sources. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Ingram would finish with 8,111 rushing yards, which is good enough for #50 in NFL history at the moment. He is 45th on the rushing touchdowns list with 65. Ingram could replace Reggie Bush for FOX Sports, which is ironic because he replaced Bush in the Saints backfield in 2011. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 2. [CLE - Moore early breakout candidate]() Source: The Athletic - Zac Jackson Zac Jackson of The Athletic wrote that "(WR Elijah) Moore is an easy pick as an early breakout candidate based on the Browns' spring work". Jackson also noted that Moore was the most targeted player in OTAs and that he "caught just about everything thrown his way". [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Moore was a breakout candidate for the Jets last year too, but ended up having a falling out with the team and got his ticket out of town this offseason. The Browns could also be in on DeAndre Hopkins because of the connection between him and Deshaun Watson (who Jackson called the star of OTAs), but if not, Moore should be well worth the eighth round pick he currently costs in early Underdog drafts. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 3. [JAX - Bigsby on fast track to backup job]( Source: Florida Times-Union - Demetrius Harvey Demetrius Harvey, of the Florida Times-Union, writes that third-round pick Tank Bigsby "will have plenty of opportunity to quickly become the team's primary backup back to Travis Etienne and even could out-touch him in some games depending on who has the hot hand" [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] We don't want to get too far ahead of ourselves, but the Jaguars obviously wanted to add to their backfield, and Bigsby provides a more rugged inside running presence than Travis Etienne. Bigsby is going very late in early drafts, but he could play a much larger role than other late-round backs. Etienne could still be a value if he improves as a passcatcher, but the Jaguars have plenty of options in the passing game, so there's more risk that Etienne's 3rd/4th round ADP indicates. [NE - Tyquan Thornton dealing with injury]() Source: ESPN.com - Mike Reiss New England Patriots WR Tyquan Thornton (undisclosed) has been dealing with a soft tissue injury during the offseason, according to a source. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Thornton has been a standout in OTAs for an offense that is sorely in need of playmakers. This news will slow down his momentum, but he is still worth a late round pick in best ball leagues with his growing opportunity and game-breaking speed. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 5. [DEN - Denver not expected to pursue Dalvin Cook]() Source: 9News.com - Mike Klis Free-agent RB Dalvin Cook (Vikings) does not appear to be a target for the Denver Broncos, according to 9News.com's Mike Klis. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] It sounds like Cook wants money similar to the 11 million he was going to earn with the Vikings, which means that like DeAndre Hopkins, it could be a long process for Cook to visit interested teams and create a market for his services. Miami was the team linked most to Cook before he was released, but they didn't want him enough to trade for him. Denver might not need Cook as much with Javonte Williams healthy enough to participate in OTAs in some fashion. Buffalo, Chicago, and Arizona are among the teams that could consider Cook, but not at an 11 million price tag. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [100% Deposit Match Up To $100 At Underdog Fantasy]( --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 6. [KC - Prince's chances of making the final roster going up]( Source: The Athletic - Nate Taylor Nate Taylor, of The Athletic, wrote "Among the Chiefs' group of undrafted players, (RB Deneric) Prince's odds of making the initial 53-man roster appear to be increasing the most." [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Andy Reid complemented Prince's hands as a receiver, and Prince also has legit long speed. The Chiefs backfield is far from settled with Isiah Pacheco coming off of two surgeries and Clyde Edwards-Helaire in the last year of his rookie contract. If Prince can make the roster, he can easily have fantasy relevance by the end of the season. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 7. [SF - Jordan Mason seeing extra reps]() Source: The Athletic - Matt Barrows San Francisco 49ers RB Jordan Mason has been serving as the No. 2 running back during OTAs. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Elijah Mitchell wasn't participating because of an undisclosed injury, but that doesn't mean that Mitchell is entrenched as the backup. Mason was a surprise member of the final roster last year as a UDFA, but in year two he might contribute as more than just a core special teams player. 2022 third-round pick Tyrion Davis-Price could be on the roster bubble if Mason continues to impress and Mitchell stays healthy through camp. One beat writer said Mason looked faster and trimmer than last year. We'll be watching this situation to know who to roster/add if Christian McCaffrey goes down.
