[CLE - CLE a strong possibility for DeAndre Hopkins]( Source: KPRC.com - Aaron Wilson Free-agent WR DeAndre Hopkins (Cardinals) has mutual interest in reuniting with QB Deshaun Watson for the Cleveland Browns, who are regarded as a strong possibility. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Browns want to make an impact in 2023, and signing Hopkins could help their offense do just that. Hopkins and Watson were fantastic with the Texans years ago, and they could look to rekindle that chemistry this season with the Browns. If Hopkins is signed, it would cut into the target share for guys like WRs Amari Cooper and Elijah Moore. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 2. [HOU - DeAndre Hopkins unlikely to Texans]( Source: KPRC.com - Aaron Wilson Free-agent WR DeAndre Hopkins (Cardinals) would be open to returning to the Houston Texans, but it's considered unlikely, according to sources. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] This report has been fairly common. Wisely, Hopkins is open to signing anywhere after the Cardinals released him. However, most expect the star receiver to sign with a contender if at all possible. The Bills and the Chiefs seem to be front-runners for his services, but both teams don't have much salary cap space. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 3. [ATL - Kyle Pitts should be ready for Week 1](=) Source: ESPN.com - Michael Rothstein Atlanta Falcons TE Kyle Pitts (knee) has not been spotted at either of the open voluntary organized team activity practices and head coach Arthur Smith has yet to discuss if Pitts will be available for training camp, but Smith told reporters Friday, June 2, that 'everybody' should be ready for Week 1 versus the Carolina Panthers. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Pitts had knee surgery in November to repair a torn MCL. He's been recovering since then, but Pitts is not participating with the Falcons in OTAs. We'll see how much the team can ramp up the talented tight end during training camp. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 4. [HOU - C.J. Stroud making a favorable impression](=) Source: Houston Chronicle - Brooks Kubena Houston Texans QB C.J. Stroud is 'already way, way ahead of pace' with his footwork and timing,' according to quarterback coach Jerrod Johnson. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Stroud was arguably the best quarterback in the 2023 NFL draft. With only Davis Mills and Case Keenum on the roster, the Texans are likely to give Stroud the starting job coming out of training camp. We'll see who the rookie prefers and how he's handling the transition to the pros later this summer. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 5. [NFL - DeAndre Hopkins willing to play the waiting game](=) Source: ESPN.com - Jeremy Fowler Free-agent WR DeAndre Hopkins (Cardinals) is 'prepared to be patient' as he seeks his next NFL employer, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] There's no rush for a seasoned veteran like Hopkins. He can wait for the best opportunity, and there's a chance he could sign after training camp begins later this summer. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 6. [DAL - Tony Pollard on track for camp]( Source: The Dallas Morning News - Calvin Watkins Dallas Cowboys RB Tony Pollard (ankle, leg) said he is ahead of schedule with his rehab and believes he will be ready for the start of the regular season. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] That's pretty remarkable considering Pollard is coming back from fracturing his fibula in the Divisional Round against the 49ers. Pollard has been getting in some limited work during OTAs this offseason. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 7. [DEN - Sean Payton hypes up Greg Dulcich's role]() Source: ProFootballTalk.com - Josh Alper Denver Broncos TE Greg Dulcich is a 'joker' - a term the team uses for a non-receiver with exceptional ball skills and the ability to exploit certain matchups, according to head coach Sean Payton via Mike Klis of 9News. Per Payton, the team is starting to develop 'a vision' about how to use his 'exciting' traits.'The trick sometimes is trying to predict what you're going to get defensively - if you're going to get a nickel package or a base package. But, man, he can run. He's got good ball skills. And he had one of his better practices today. So you begin to build on that. . . . I think his menu is going to be lengthy in the passing game and there's enough stuff we can do in the run game.' [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The team worked in third-down situations on Thursday. There's no doubt Dulcich had a good day of practice, but our own Cecil Lammey (who attends every Broncos practice open to the media) provides a word of caution when getting too hyped about the second-year tight end. Dulcich is fast and athletic, but the pads aren't on and he needs to prove he can be a better blocker. He also needs to prove he can stay healthy, something he struggled with last year. At this point, Adam Trautman is projected to be the starting tight end for the Broncos. --------------------------------------------------------------- FOOTBALLGUYS PICKS DOMINATE YOUR FRIENDS WITH A FOOTBALLGUYS PREMIUM SUBSCRIPTION - Consistently winning at Fantasy Football is hard. [KC - OC the latest to sing Kadarius Toney's praises]( Source: ArrowheadPride.com - Pete Sweeney Kansas City Chiefs WR Kadarius Toney is 'super talented with the football in his hands,' according to offensive coordinator Matt Nagy.'We all see what he can do when the football's in his hands. Same type of deal (as JuJu Smith-Schuster). He comes over halfway through the season - it's a whole new offense. He's got to learn the ins and outs, and so you have that point. He was able to do that, and it's exciting now for us to be able to take that to Year 2 and build that relationship with (Patrick Mahomes). He's super talented with the football in his hands, and he's been that way his entire life in his football career,' Nagy said. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Another day, and more positive reports about Toney. The Chiefs believe Toney can be the "no.1 type receiver" they're looking for this season. He certainly has talent, but injuries have plagued him since he came into the league as a first-round pick of the Giants in the 2021 NFL draft. Toney has tremendous upside, but at this point, he's a WR3/flex type from a fantasy perspective. That ADP could rise this summer if he stays healthy, flashes in the preseason, and continues getting positive buzz. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 9. [IND - Foot injury for Will Mallory](=) Source: NFL.com Indianapolis Colts TE Will Mallory (foot) is dealing with a foot injury and there is no timetable for his return, according to head coach Shane Steichen. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Mallory was one of our favorite sleeper TEs in the draft this year. We like his ability to attack the soft spot of the defense, and we'll continue watching him in dynasty formats. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 10. [MIA - Three picks signed by Dolphins]( Source: MiamiDolphins.com Miami Dolphins third-round pick RB Devon Achane, sixth-round pick TE Elijah Higgins and seventh-round pick OT Ryan Hayes signed undisclosed four-year deals Friday, June 2. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Achane is a track star who plays football, and he can flat-out fly. He should be able to work well as a speed back for the Dolphins - and he fits right in with the other speed merchants on the offense like WRs Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle. Speaking of speed, Higgins is a super-sized wide receiver who can make plays at all three levels of the field. Achane could have re-draft value (deep flex) this year due to his speed and potential role. Both Higgins and Achane are players to monitor in dynasty formats. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 11. [PHI - Rashaad Penny getting some work in]() Source: Delaware News Journal - Martin Frank Philadelphia Eagles RB Rashaad Penny (leg) is taking part in organized team activities this offseason. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Penny has a ton of talent and upside when healthy, but he struggles to stay healthy. He'll work on the Eagles' backfield with D'Andre Swift, and Penny will have fantasy value this season...if he can stay healthy. He broke his fibula last October with the Seahawks, and Penny has been on the road to recovery ever since. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [100% Deposit Match Up To $100 At Underdog Fantasy]( --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 12. [IND - Michael Pittman Jr. nursing hip issue]() Source: The Indianapolis Star - Joel A. Erickson Indianapolis Colts WR Michael Pittman Jr. (hip) is reportedly dealing with 'a little bit of a' hip injury, according to head coach Shane Steichen. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Colts will be wisely cautious here. Pittman is their no.1 receiver, and even though he needs to establish chemistry with rookie first-round QB Anthony Richardson, we don't think the team pushes him back too soon. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 13. [IND - Indy kicking the tires on Breshad Perriman]() Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter Free-agent WR Breshad Perriman (Buccaneers) worked out for the Indianapolis Colts on Friday, June 2. According to a source, Perriman is currently in discussions with the team about signing with Indianapolis. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Perriman can still take the top off the defense. He's flashed a bit during his pro career with a couple of different teams. However, injuries have derailed the former first-round pick time and time again. If healthy, he can play a role as a deep threat. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 14. [MIN - Alexander Mattison eyeing three-down role?](=) Source: ESPN.com - Kevin Seifert Minnesota Vikings RB Alexander Mattison has demonstrated 'that all-three-down kind of ownership that he's been capable of for a long time' during offseason work,' according to head coach Kevin O'Connell last week. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Everyone expects RB Dalvin Cook to be gone before the Vikings season begins. If/when that happens, Mattison steps into a large role on an offense that can move the ball at will. He's flashed as a reserve behind Cook for years, and Mattison has the ability to put up quality numbers as a runner and receiver out of the backfield.
