[LVR - Jimmy Garoppolo absent for OTAs]() Source: Las Vegas Review-Journal - Vincent Bonsignore Las Vegas Raiders QB Jimmy Garoppolo (foot) has not participated in OTAs, according to head coach Josh McDaniels on Thursday, May 25. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] We'll see what Garoppolo can do as he continues in his recovery. Garoppolo underwent surgery this offseason after suffering a broken foot during the 2022 season. Missing OTAs was a given, and now we'll see how much work he can do in training camp later in the summer. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 2. [DAL - Tony Pollard participating at OTAs]( Source: The Athletic - Jon Machota Dallas Cowboys RB Tony Pollard (leg) has been participating in OTA walk-throughs, according to head coach Mike McCarthy on Thursday, May 25. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Fantastic news for the Cowboys, and even though he didn't do everything it's a good sign he was able to participate in a walk-through. Pollard suffered a broken leg in January and should be good to go in training camp. He's the no.1 back for the Cowboys this year, and Fantasy GMs are drooling over his RB1 upside. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 3. [BUF - Stefon Diggs still not at workouts](=) Source: BillsWire - Nick Wojton Buffalo Bills WR Stefon Diggs was not present for organized team activities Tuesday, May 23. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The workouts are voluntary. Some may be concerned about Diggs' standing with the team due to the way last season ended. We're not as concerned, especially because mandatory work (which Diggs will be at) begins next month. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 4. [BAL - Lamar Jackson plans to be at workouts](=) Source: ESPN.com - Jamison Hensley Baltimore Ravens QB Lamar Jackson said he plans to participate in all of the offseason workouts. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Jackson is ready to continue proving his doubters wrong. That means learning a new offense under OC Todd Monken this offseason. If the weapons around him are healthy, Jackson should have improved numbers as a passer while still continuing as one of the most dangerous runners in the league. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 5. [DAL - Tony Pollard doing some light OTA work]( Source: The Dallas Morning News - Michael Gehlken Dallas Cowboys RB Tony Pollard (leg) has been able to participate in the 'reduced-temp' organized team activity schedule, according to head coach Mike McCarthy. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Pollard was going through walk-through portions of practice, and that's a good sign for a player who broke his leg in January. The idea is that Pollard will be ready to fully participate in training camp. [LAR - Cooper Kupp missing the starts of OTAs]( Source: RamsWire - Skyler Carlin Los Angeles Rams WR Cooper Kupp (ankle) will not take part in the start of OTAs. He and his wife are expecting their third child soon. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Kupp is a seasoned pro, and he'll be fine. It's much more important to be there for his family. Limited to nine games last year, Kupp should be fine coming back from that high-ankle sprain. So long as QB Matthew Stafford can return to form, Kupp should post great numbers once again in 2023. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 7. [DEN - Javonte Williams doing limited work in OTAs]() Source: The Athletic - Nick Kosmider Denver Broncos RB Javonte Williams (knee) was working 'in a limited capacity' during the walkthrough portion of organized team activities Thursday, May 25, according to head coach Sean Payton. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Williams did more than some thought he would, but it's a good sign that he's out there. He injured his knee back in October (more than just an ACL) and has been recovering since then. The Broncos are going to use Williams and Samaje Perine in what could be a 50-50 split at the running back position. The team has expressed hope that Williams will be a full participant at the start of training camp. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 8. [DET - Detroit pleased with Jameson Williams' progress]( Source: DetroitLions.com - Tim Twentyman Detroit Lions WR Jameson Williams is 'miles ahead' of where he was last season, according to head coach Dan Campbell. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] It only makes sense that Williams is 'miles ahead' because he was still recovering from a knee injury suffered at Alabama last year at this time. Williams will miss the first six games of the 2023 regular season while serving a suspension for violating the NFL's gambling policy. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [100% Deposit Match Up To $100 At Underdog Fantasy]( --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 9. [PIT - George Pickens sets 2023 goal](=) Source: Pittsburgh Tribune-Review - Chris Adamski Pittsburgh Steelers WR George Pickens said he wants to post at least 1,000 receiving yards this upcoming season. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Pickens should continue working as a favorite target for QB Kenny Pickett. The Steelers want to run the ball often, but when they go through the air Pickens will help them move the chains. As a rookie in 2022, Pickens posted 801 yards receiving, so adding on another 200 or so sounds about right. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 10. [NE - Anthony Firkser heads to New England]() Source: ESPN.com - Mike Reiss Free-agent TE Anthony Firkser (Falcons) agreed to a deal with the New England Patriots, according to a source Thursday, May 25. Financial terms of the deal were not immediately disclosed. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Firkser is the type of tight end that the Patriots find valuable. He's a good blocker, and even though he's limited as a receiver, Firkser can catch some passes here and there (see his 96 targets in two seasons with the Titans). He's got a good shot of making the team, but Firkser lacks fantasy appeal at this point in his career. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 11. [KC - Clyde Edwards-Helaire making an impression]() Source: ArrowheadPride.com - Pete Sweeney Kansas City Chiefs RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire is in 'great shape' and stepping up' early in the offseason, according to ArrowheadPride.com's Pete Sweeney. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Edwards-Helaire needs to do that as he looks to push Isiah Pacheco for snaps and carries in training camp. Pacheco took over in the backfield last year as Edwards-Helaire struggled with injuries and inconsistencies. The Chiefs did not pick up his fifth-year option, so the former first-round pick is in the final year of his contract with plenty to prove. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- That'll do it for today, Folks. Thanks for reading and thanks for being part of the Footballguys Family.
