Hopefully, you'll have some spare time in there to relax and recharge a little. Our classic Player Spotlights series continues today with Atlanta's Bijan Robinson. Can the rookie justify his lofty average draft position? Our Jeff Bell makes the case. Plus we're suspicious of rookie tight ends. And we're already mock drafting 2024 rookies. There are a few News and Notes in there, too. Let's kick it off. J PS. [The Footballguys Championship]( just went live yesterday and we're stoked. We built the Fantasy Football contest we've always dreamed of playing in. Huge prizes, more ways to win, and unique rules that keep the competition serious. We think you'll love it. [DEN - RB Perine Could Have 'Significant' Role]() Source: Nick Kosmider - The Athletic Nick Kosmider, from The Athletic, reports Denver Broncos RB Samaje Perine could have a 'significant' role in the team's offense in 2023. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] We're all waiting for RB Javonte Williams to be healthy from the major knee injury (multiple ligaments, not just an ACL) he suffered last year. When healthy, Williams is the lead back but there are questions about when he'll be at full strength. New Broncos' head coach Sean Payton loves RBBC, and he'll use both Williams and Perine to lead the way on the ground. Watch out for UDFA rookie RB Jaleel McLaughlin in this backfield as well (dynasty sleeper alert). [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 2. [JAX - Rookie RB Bigsby Shines](=) Source: John Shipley - USA Today John Shipley, from USA Today, reports Jacksonville Jaguars rookie RB Tank Bigsby was the most impressive player at last week's rookie minicamp. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] According to the report, Bigsby showed well as an athlete and as a receiver out of the backfield. He certainly has starter's ability, and Bigsby has a three-down skill set where he doesn't need to come off the field. Bigsby is not going to win collisions in the middle, but he's a no-nonsense runner with an efficient style. We'll see how the Jaguars introduce him into their offense behind starter Travis Etienne. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 3. [LVR - Trading WR Adams 'Not In The Cards' Right Now]( Source: Vic Tafur - The Athletic Vic Tafur, from The Athletic, believes trading WR Davante Adams is "not in the cards right now" for the Las Vegas Raiders. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Adams seems to be disgruntled with the offense at the time. If that feeling continues into the regular season, then perhaps there is a chance the Raiders would want to cash in their chips (so to speak) by dealing the superstar wide receiver. We are a long way from that happening, but this has been one of the most interesting "mid-May" stories to watch in the NFL. Stay tuned to this situation. [CLE - Demetric Felton To Focus On Running Back](=) Source: The Athletic - Zac Jackson Cleveland Browns RB Demetric Felton will work with the running backs during spring activities, and he could enter the season as the No. 3 back, according to Zac Jackson of The Athletic. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Felton is a smaller back who can play slot receiver. He can do both, but the Browns are looking for someone to take up some of the receptions that former RB Kareem Hunt would get behind starter Nick Chubb. With Hunt gone, that responsibility should mainly go to Jerome Ford or Felton. We'll see how this battle for the change-of-pace back behind Chubb goes in training camp. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 5. [CLE - Cleveland Works Out RB Devine Ozigbo]() Source: Click2Houston.com - Aaron Wilson Free-agent RB Devine Ozigbo (Broncos) worked out for the Cleveland Browns Thursday, May 18. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Browns will be in the market for running back talent. Kareem Hunt is still a free agent, but the team is looking for more cost-effective options. Ozigbo is a no-nonsense runner who could give a team veteran depth at the position. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- [100% Deposit Match Up To $100 At Underdog Fantasy]( --------------------------------------------------------------- [] 6. [CLE - TE Harrison Bryant Likely On The Block]() Source: SI.com - Albert Breer Cleveland Browns TE Harrison Bryant is likely on the trade block as he enters the final year of his rookie deal. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Bryant should open the season behind both David Njoku and Jordan Akins on the depth chart at tight end. A fourth-round pick out of FAU in the 2020 NFL draft, Bryant always gets around 240 yards receiving each year. He's not going to win as a blocker, and Bryant is a good/not great receiving option. If he's not dealt, there's no guarantee that Bryant makes the final roster for the Browns. [Back to Top](#top) --------------------------------------------------------------- That'll do it for today, Folks. Thanks for reading and thanks for being part of the Footballguys Family.
